“Sujanna is an amazing person clearly cut out for the job that she does. She took amazing care of Rebel and was very communicative with Rebel’s daily activities. She sent pictures and videos detailing day’s events and best of all, Rebel was clearly so happy with her. I will not look elsewhere if I need a sitter again. Thank you so much Sujanna.”

“Amanda has been really caring and took care of my dog luna very well. She constantly updated me with the status of luna and her pics as well. There were instances where I received photo of luna playing with her and her husband. Overall during my dog boarding with Amanda, my dog luna felt as if she was with another family where she vacationed and had a blast. Thank you.”

“I almost don’t want to leave a review because I don’t want this secret out - ha! It’s hard to find someone I really trust with my beloved dog, but I definitely have. Dawn is wonderful and it’s a paradise for small dogs at her house. I love that I don’t have to worry about my little 5 pound dog being trampled by large dogs. She sent me daily pictures and updates and I felt so comfortable with my dog in her care. She treats all the dogs like her own. Can’t recommend her enough!!”

“I felt very confident leaving my elderly dog Blue with Paul. Paul gave him his medications and special concoction of food with no problem. He set Blue up for comfort and ease while I traveled, and sent me photos and updates for my peace of mind. I highly recommend Paul for your pet sitting needs!”

“Charles took great care of our 6-months old Goldendoodle, Maxie, during 5 days boarding. He was very responsive and made us feel comfortable leaving our puppy for the 1st time. When we picked him up, Maxie was happy, it was clear he had been very well taken care for. In fact, Maxie seemed so comfortable that he did not want to leave. We would absolutely use Charles again. Thank you!”

“Carolina took such good care of our two dogs. They had so much fun playing with her dog as well. She sent daily updates about how they were doing which was perfect since we were so far away from home for over a week. We really appreciated her taking care of them. We highly recommend her loving care.”

“Violetta was an absolutely amazing sitter. We have almost never boarded our cat and were very anxious about how he would do. Violetta was so patient with him, though, and gave us regular updates during his stay. We could see how he relaxed within a single day, and how happy and settled he seemed when we went to pick him up. It was such a relief to know that our cat was with someone who made him feel safe, and we are so so grateful! Thank you so much!!”

“Lisa is amazing! She did a great job keeping us updated with pics & videos. Our dog has never looked this happy when we’ve gone away. She kept her active with walks & playtime with her pup. Highly recommend!”

“Hao and his lovely family were amazing with our Ripley. He sent pictures and videos throughout her stay so that we can receive updates on how our baby girl was doing. We could tell that she was very well taken care of and he treated her like she was his own. We would highly recommend Hao if you need someone who you can trust with your fur baby. We were very appreciative of his care and how open and communicative he was with us. Hao was also very accommodating! 5 stars all the way!!”

“Amy was great. Since we were in the area for a wedding and we selected Amy from all the positive posts. She was exactly what we wanted for our Cali. She sent pics which was great. I highly recommend Amy for anyone looking for a caring and secure sitter for your fur baby. Tks Amy❤️”

“Cherie was a wonderful caretaker for Chase! We were leaving him for the first time, and she put our minds at ease. We knew he was in great hands and had a lot of attention, care and love. She was great with updates, and prompt with replies to any concerns we had. We'd definitely use her again the next time chase is in need of care!”

About: Dog lover who wants the occasional companionship of a good boy/girl. I’ve personally cared for large and small dogs, yellow lab/setter/Bichon Frise, And have wanted a dog of my own for awhile. Currently, being new to New Jersey and traveling 1-2 times a month for work, this plan will have to be temporarily put on hold. Lucky for those who need the occasional dog sitter/walker and myself, rover allows both parties to be happy and fulfilled. My house has a small yard, but we have multiple parks within walking distance. I have the ability to work from home when needed, but my availability for the most part will be on the weekends or nights on weekdays. I look forward to meeting as many dogs as possible! I work full-time but work remotely around 50%. Looking after a dog during my remote work days is very easy and I can accommodate most things. Any time my profile is set to available I am working from home I have a fenced in small yard and live within walking distance of multiple parks. We are accommodating of all dog sizes and mobilities. We currently watch a senior dog very frequently and are aware of senior pup needs

“Suely was the best! She took great care of Cooper. I can’t tell you what a weight off my mind it was knowing that he was in good hands, happy, and well taken care of. I got lots of pictures too during his stay, so I felt like I knew what was going on. I actually think Cooper was a little sad to leave he had such a good time! Thank you, thank you, thank you Suely!”

“Samantha was wonderful with Nellie! She sent updates throughout the day, gave my dog her meds and nellie settled right in! She was also very flexible with scheduling, due to an unexpected winter storm. Will 100% use Sam again to watch Nellie!”

“We had a really great experience with Irem! They were super easy to communicate with and took great care of my dog. I loved getting updates and photos—it made me feel so much more relaxed while I was away. My dog came back happy and well cared for. Would definitely book again!”

“June took care of Brutus for a month while we were in India for a wedding. She is very good and compassionate about furry kids. She updated me daily on how my baby was doing and shared videos and pictures to give me an update. She was outstanding in taking care of my son (Brutus- 11 years old Border Collie Mix). I highly recommend her.”
“Our dog Max's second stay with Rhea and Max went as wonderfully as his first! Rhea and Michael take extraordinary care of Max and provide consistent updates with his daily activities. Their large fenced-in yard is great for our active pup -- he loves it! Thanks again!”
“Darien was an amazing help with AJ. She took great care of him and provided me with pictures and videos everyday. You can tell she enjoys what she does. She is professional and makes sure she understands how to care for your dog. I liked the fact that she had a call with me to get to know who AJ was. This meant a lot as I knew she wanted to make sure he had a great time. I will definitely use her again. I trust her with my pet. She groomed AJ and he smelt soooooo good.”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can't recommend Michele highly enough! From our very first meet and greet, I knew Rosie would be in wonderful hands. Michele was warm, professional and took the time to learn everything about Rosie's routine, including her medication and all of the little details that help her feel comfortable. While I was away, Michele sent daily updates and pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind. Every photo showed Rosie looking happy, relaxed, cozy, and completely at home. The best part came when I picked Rosie up. She was excited to see me of course, but as soon as Michele walked away to grab Rosie's belongings, Rosie actually ran after her! As a dog owner, I don't think there's a better compliment than that. It showed me just how comfortable, loved, and secure Rosie felt during her stay. Michele exceeded every expectation. She is kind, attentive and dependable I would trust her with Rosie again in a heartbeat and highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional pet care.

Carol & her family were wonderful with Oscar! Since we were new to Carol, we started with a meet-n-greet, where Oscar could explore the house. When we dropped off Oscar for his stay, he ran up the porch stairs and couldn't wait to get in the house. Before we even left, he was off exploring again. Carol provided daily updates and photos. Like me, Carol works from home and Oscar found his "replacement lap" to sleep on during the day, something he was clearly happy with. Oscar was very well taken care of and we highly recommend Carol!

Pia’s stay with Charles was great. He is an awesome person who truly loves the pets he cares for. He shared pictures time to time keeping us informed of Pia’s well being. I am grateful to have met Charles and highly recommend him. We are definitely returning next time Pia needs a break from us 😊

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
