About: I am patient and will let your dog sniff around all they want. I am caring and will ensure the path your dog is walking on is safe for their paws. And I am energetic, leaving your dog tired when they come home. I will care for your dog by keeping them on a leash and bringing water for when they get thirsty. With your cat, I will first let them sniff me and warm up to me. They’ll soon cuddle up to me. I am available most days before 9am, at lunchtime (between 12pm and 2pm) and after 5pm. For house visits, I am able to stay either all day or all night and pop during the day for mealtimes/potty breaks. While in your home, I am mindful of your space and will follow your instructions. For boarding visits, I live near a park and can take your pet out 3-4 times a day. Unfortunately while I understand everyone’s needs/customs are different, I do no accept dogs that either use an indoor doggy potty or are not house trained.

“Paula was wonderful. She fit me in at the last minute and also performed beautifully with some pretty unique challenges during the week. I had a smoke detector malfunction which caused my cats to be terrified. Paula was able to temporarily fix the problem until I had a friend come in and disarm the alarm. As a result of that plus the fact that I had a cat who was on a new medication which did not agree with her, Paula had to deal with my cat vomiting. Paula was a life-saver. I felt helpless since I was on the other side of the country, but Paula was able to calm my cats down and by the end of the week, they loved her and seemed to have forgotten all about me -- LOL. I would highly recommend Paula!”

I could tell right from the start that he was going to try his darnedest to get my shy Moira to connect on his visits - when he instantly started to practice the high-pitched voice I use which Moira best responds to on our initial visit lol! Right out of the gate I think he was able to find her under the bed and engage with Churu! While she didn't allow contact every single day - I have no doubt that he tried and he even succeeded on several. I definitely felt safe having Mark taking care of my shy lil' girl.”

Since having a family we raised 1 yellow lab - trained and and nurtured him in his elder years. We have since rescued a Shepard mix and a black lab. About: I used to dog sitting my friends dog because I couldn’t have my own dog. So I gained dog sitting experience from there. Now I have my own baby, and I would still love to share my love with other dogs. My baby also loves to make friends. So it’s a win win situation. Walking the dogs two to three times. About: BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE- I have my BA in psychology with a specialization in animal behavior. I’ve loved animals all my life but I became passionate about a career in training when I started as a dog trainer at Petco when I was 18 years old. Soon after, I was lucky enough to work as an exotic animal trainer at Six Flags in Jackson, NJ. Here, I learned so much about training, and felt a calling to transfer what I learned to the pet dog industry. Along my journey, I adopted a dog that challenged me to no end. He’s the dog that quite literally forced me to become a trainer! My love for him pushed me to become certified through CATCH Dog Training Academy. I’ve interned at St. Hubert’s in Madison twice where I focused on behavior modification in shelter dogs and studied appropriate play in dog play groups. I currently work full time as a dog trainer in my area. I have been fostering with Sheryl’s Den in North Jersey for the past 8 years, and have fostered over 30 dogs. I’m comfortable and skilled in handling dogs most people try to avoid. My experience has helped me to understand dogs in a new way but it’s also helped me to have a unique appreciation for dog owners. So many owners love their dogs like their own children, which means they want their dogs treated like family when they can’t be with them. I know how hard it is to leave my dog with friends or family when I’m away, which is why I want to provide a loving home to your dog. Your pup can sleep on the couch, bed, or crate if they prefer, but he’ll never be alone at night or scared- this I can promise you! I do private, in-home dog training so my schedule is very flexible! I stay within 30 mins of my house and I’m usually only gone for 2-3 hours at a time. While your pup is in my care I will respect your wishes and provide the services exactly as you request. This includes any training goals, details like providing meals/treats at their normally scheduled time, or making sure your pup has his favorite toy to cuddle with at night. Being away from home can typically be very stressful for dogs, especially when they’re in a busy kennel with other dogs barking. At my home, I have one 8 year old, well socialized old man who only wants to snore at night, never bark. No children are in my household so your pup will not be bothered by kids. Whether it’s to train, board, or hang out for playcare, I consider your dog my dog for his stay!! I’m typically home most of the day. If I have to leave for a training session, I’ll be out of the house for 2-3 max at a time. My house has gates throughout it to assure your pets safety at all times to provide them supervision and separation from other dogs if they prefer their space.

“It is always hard leaving your beloved pet in a new place with people he doesn’t know. Joe and Joann were so warm and welcoming to both us and to our Rudy. They have a great fenced in yard that allowed for lots of interesting sniffs, and a loving home. Rudy is so very shy, so I’m sure he was a bit sad at his first overnight, but I know he’ll warm up to his new “spot” very quickly. We got lots of photos and encouraging comments during his stay. That helps a lot! We will definitely be back.”

In our family we treat every furry friend as if they were our own, providing a safe and loving environment that gives you total peace of mind while you are away I have listed my available days. I’m mostly home and my kids love pets and always helping, all of us are very house broken and mellow. Our dog is super friendly with everybody I have a fenced in decent size yard, and my dog to keep company. Pets are not allowed in the yard unsupervised though, safety first
