About: Hi! My name is Laura and I am a recent graduate from Virginia Tech. I have had a life-long passion for taking care of animals and hope to care for yours. Throughout my life I have cared for dogs, cats, reptiles, small mammals, horses, cows, pigs, chickens, and much more! I love all animals, big and small, and am able to watch over your household pets and/or any farm pets. I have had dogs my entire life, currently a proud pup owner of my hyper, loving golden retriever, and I know all the ins and outs of canine care. I provide play-time, grooming, walks/dog park visits, food/water cleaning and replenishment, medical aid, and so much more for your pup(s). I have training experience with puppies, and can handle all temperaments. Elderly dogs hold a special place in my heart so I will ensure their safety and comfortability. No matter the age or size, I would love to care for your four-legged family member! I have a flexible schedule so I will ensure dates/times meet your needs. I provide house visits and walks any day of the week. I also have my own vehicle so reliable transportation is not an issue. I will keep your pet(s) safe at your home and/or outside by keeping them on a leash, crating if necessary or requested, keeping your doors locked at all times, and taking precautions to make sure your pet doesn’t get into anything they are not allowed to have.

About: I have 7 pets and I love each of them so dearly and I would love to spread my love to your animal! It’s incredibly important to me that your pet feels safe and loved. Typically, my pet care usually takes place in the afternoons or evening. However, I always like to keep a flexible schedule so I can make it work for your furry friend! I ensure that all pets have used the bathroom, ate an appropriate amount of food and have plenty of comfortable sleeping areas while also keeping away dangerous foods or objects.

About: I’ve cared for animals my whole life and have years of experience as a veterinary assistant and shelter aide. From giving medications to walking dogs of any size, I’m comfortable with it all. I’m especially patient with shy or skittish dogs and always help ensure they feel safe and loved. I'm also a distance runner with lots of experience running dogs, so if you have a high-energy pup that needs a good jog, I'd be more than happy to do that!! I'm entirely self-employed, so my schedule is quite flexible! I’m happy to adjust my schedule when needed to make sure your pets get the care and attention they deserve :) When I visit your home, I treat your pets and space with the same respect I’d want for my own. I make sure doors and gates are secure, follow all care instructions closely, and keep a careful eye on your fur baby during walks or visits. About: I grew up with 2 Labrador retrievers, who I grew a special bond with where I grew to love taking care of dogs! I now have a 3 year old German Shepherd pure bred, who I raised and helped to train. I just adopted a Hound, who is a 2 year old rescue. I love walking my dogs everyday, and also driving them to parks as well. I feed my dogs everyday, and have always been known to be taking care of dogs my whole life. I am 21 years old, and a student at East Carolina University. I come home very often, especially during breaks, and live here all summer! My pets are apart of my everyday life, and I am willing to take care and spend valuable time with pets whenever needed and necessary for you! I am willing to do just about anything with your pets, such as spending time playing with them, walking them, going to a park, feeding them, making sure they go to bed safe, whatever fits you and your pets needs!

About: I’ve lived with dogs and cats my whole life. I currently have three Portuguese Water Dogs. I train and handle them in multiple dog sports such as agility and dock diving. Weekdays: Available after 1:30 PM for walks, drop-ins, and pet care. Weekends: Usually fully available for walks, house sitting, overnight stays, and extended care. I’m a Dog Daycare worker during the weekdays, so my services may be limited to the afternoon + evenings from Monday-Friday. With dogs, I’m very patient and comfortable with all personalities, including high-energy, excitable, or anxious dogs. I focus on calm and respectful handling and try to help very anxious dogs feel safe by giving them space, approaching slowly, and using gentle reassurance like calm voice and light petting on their side when appropriate. I pay attention to body language and always aim to build trust rather than pressure them into an interaction. If a dog is acting out, I redirect their attention and follow any training or behavior instructions provided by the owner. With cats, I’m used to reading their behavior and giving them the space or attention they want. I understand that many cats are super independent and are protective about their space, but I also enjoy working with affectionate, social cats. I have experience caring for kittens, including feeding and basic hands-on care, as well as senior cats who may need routine medication or any extra attention.
