About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life I’ve had dogs since I was a little kid I have a westie and a black mouth mountain kurr lab mix 😊 I love Animals I’ve taken care of many different kinds of animals from farms to house cats. I’m currently part time in radiology school and have time for part time jobs or a full time job to make sure I’m still very social and getting my daily exercise ! I have a very nice neighborhood I can take walks in and know every street inside I love getting fresh air and getting exercise and socializing with animals :)
About: Hi, I'm restarting my animal care business. I want to ensure a stimulated experience with a swift pace and consistent disciplined walking style of what I like to refer to as "nose to toes," where the dogs stay no further than my toe, to my sides, or behind me. I also have experience with aggressive dog behavior, so if a single walk is necessary, I can do that. I have been in the animal care business for as long as I can remember, and I know Fairlington very well since I grew up here. I now live in Harper's Ferry in West Virginia. I will be able to track my walks with a phone app that will track your dog's walking pace, distance traveled, and the route we take. I usually do pack walks of 3-5 dogs depending on size, but I can do singles if needed. I'm also able to cat-sit/dog-sit and care for exotics and birds (no insects). I'm flexible because I have my own cleaning/organizing/declutter business. I wake up however early dog might need be let out or pet given meds, and give at least 3 long 30min-hour walks depending on the energy level and few let outs throught the day if needed for young pups or older if bladder is sensitive. Plenty of loves and can work on training or stimulated play time with toys and puzzles. I will be professional and not have any guests over ever, and always keep doors locked when not there and if plants need care I can help with watering. I have 4 animals myself so it's pretty automatic to just add another pet cuz I've cared for multiple animals at a time or drop in visits when needed throughout my day. Whatever the fmaily requests for schedule when to feed, medicate(if needed), amount of walks and play time needed to make sure they're healthy and stimulated. Whenever they're ready for bed, crate if needed requested by parents, and make sure they go outside(dogs) to ensure no accidents throughout the night. I give them just as much love and attention and play as my own. And feed round same schedule unless instructed otherwise. Giving exercise and play time when needed. And kept to routine of crating if owners instruct.
“Tori did a fantastic job with our dog. He absolutely loved her. She took very good care of home as well. She kept us updated and sent multiple pictures everyday. We will definitely use Tori again in the future.”

Emelyn promptly sent an update every time I requested one and left our home very neat. She even emptied and refilled the dishwasher and watered the plants on the back porch. I would definitely recommend Emelyn!”

I want owners to feel confident knowing their pets are receiving the same patience, attention, love, and care I would want for my own.
“Our sweet Gimli was happy with Marilyn! She was very responsive and reliable. She shared happy photos of our dog! I appreciated finding our home just as we left it! I would recommend Marilyn for watching your pets!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, guinea pigs and hamsters. I grew up with dogs of all shapes and sizes, spanning from a bully mix, to an Alaskan malamute, to black labs, and Chihuahuas too! Getting to know each animal individually, and getting to know their quirks and personalities is the best part! I currently work eight hours a day seven days a week. I can be there to pet sit in the evenings or let dogs out on potty breaks in the early morning or sometime past 5:30 PM. I can spend up to three hours with your pup for drop ins, and of course I would give all of my attention for the 8+ hours I would be there to pet sit. I follow any and all instructions given to me by pet owners. I’ve spent a long time getting to know, body language, and social cues from dogs. I will never push their boundaries.
“Sofia is absolutely fantastic. This was the first time I used someone on Rover and she made me feel so comfortable and at ease while I was on vacation. Her love for animals shined through the moment she met my foster cats and I could feel her love for them in every message and photo. I got lots of photos of her cuddling with them, giving them attention and being near them. They opened up to her immediately and as a pet (foster) parent, there’s no better feeling. I will absolutely message Sofia again in the future if I ever need a pet sitter, and I will be recommending her to anyone who says they want an attentive pet sitter!!!”

“Brittany stayed at our house with our 2 dogs and took excellent care of everything. Great communication, lots of pictures. Followed all instructions regarding care for the dogs and the house. Returned home to happy dogs and a clean house.”

“Day is phenomenal! She’s such a wonderful person and you can tell instantly how much she loves animals. She took the time to get to know our 4 dogs and even learned their quirks and built up trust with them. By the end of the weekend our Cattle dog was in love with her. He was very disappointed when it was us who came through the door and not Day. 🤣 Thank you so much Day for your care and kindness with our dogs. We even learned a lot from you! We will definitely apply your tips to our training routine right away. We will definitely call when we need a sitter again!”

Celina did house sitting and took care of our dog, she checked in regularly and sent us pics, while it wasn’t part of our booking she also gave our cat tons of love. She left our house clean and tidy! We would definitely recommend her to anyone and we would call on her again for services.

Joanne demonstrated Super reliability and adherence to instructions. It was super hot so the dogs couldn’t get the exercise I was hoping for but nothing was destroyed under her watch. Lol. The dogs took to her immediately which definitely showed from the pictures she reliably sent every day.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Morrisonville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Morrisonville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Morrisonville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
