“Chris, what an exceptional job. When I first met Chris, it was very obvious he was just excited to hangout with my pup. Dropping her off was simple and gave me a lot of confidence for Indys Stay. Chris sent me pictures during the entire 6 days he cared for Indy. Picking her up, they had already been out on a nice walk and it was obvious because she was very tired. I plan on using Chris again and would recommend anyone to entrust Chris with their Animal.”

Many thanks and we'll be back!”

About: I have a deep passion for animals and a keen eye for understanding their non-verbal cues. By focusing on the small details and reading their body language, I ensure your pet feels comfortable, secure, and stress-free. Im a stay at home mom. I take my aon to school at 7:20, i would be available directly after that until 1:30 or 2 depending on where you live. Then Im available from 3-7. Every morning I feel my dogs and then walk them around our property. Then, I feed the kitty who is usually meowing loudly at me. Then, I scoop her box. She likes it if I scoop her box several times a day. The dogs are fed twice a day, and walked several times. My Dad or I will walk our younger dog Molly around the neighborhood or on the Appalachian trail. Dinner for the dogs is at 7pm and "last pee" is before bedtime (usually 10).
About: I’ve taken care of many dogs before. I have emergency and medical training. I have years of knowledge and practice of grooming, feeding and walking. I’m currently a student at Centenary University studying Equine Therapy. I have time in between classes and am available all day on Fridays through sundays. I enjoy going for long walks and being active as do most dogs! I am capable of extensive care as well such as medical needs
About: Hi! I’m a work-from-home mom of three amazing boys, and caring for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up on a farm, so being around animals wasn’t just a hobby — it was a way of life. I’ve owned pets my entire life and have also fostered many dogs over the years, so my boys have grown up learning how to properly handle, respect, and love animals. We recently lost our sweet dog last year and are taking a little break from owning one, but our home feels happiest with paws around. Dog sitting allows us to share that love while giving your pup the attention and care they deserve. Because I work from home full time, your dog will rarely be alone and will get plenty of supervision, affection, and companionship throughout the day. We have a large single-family home with lots of space to relax. There’s a large fenced backyard for safe outdoor time, as well as a spacious front yard — but please know your dog will never be outside unsupervised. In our home, dogs are family. They’re welcome on the couch and even in the bed for snuggles at night if that’s what they’re used to. My boys love giving extra attention, playtime, and belly rubs — always guided by what your dog is comfortable with. Our family truly adores and respects animals, and we will care for your dog as if they were our own — with patience, structure, affection, and lots of love. I’d love to meet you and your pup! Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine since I work from home full time. I’m home throughout the day, which allows me to provide consistent supervision, companionship, and regular potty breaks as often as needed. Your dog won’t be left alone for long stretches. We go on at least one walk every day, and I’m happy to adjust the length or pace depending on your dog’s age and energy level. In addition to walks, I incorporate outdoor time, playtime, and plenty of affection into the day. Because I’m already on a steady home schedule, it’s easy for me to maintain feeding times, medication schedules, and any specific routines your dog is used to. When pets stay in my home, they become part of our daily routine and are treated like family. Because I work from home full time, I’m able to provide constant supervision, regular potty breaks, and lots of attention throughout the day. Dogs have access to our large fenced backyard (always supervised) and enjoy at least one daily walk, along with playtime and snuggles. They’re welcome on the couch and even in bed if that’s what they’re used to. I stick closely to each dog’s normal feeding schedule, exercise routine, and any special instructions to help them feel comfortable and secure. My goal is always the same: to provide safe, loving, reliable care so both you and your pet feel completely at ease.
“Hihly recommend! Jennifer is a wonderful doggy daycare host. Our boys were excited to spend the day with her and her sweet dog "Sammy". Jennifer sent a few pics and a note to let me know how our dogs were doing.”

About: I grew up with 2 Labrador retrievers, who I grew a special bond with where I grew to love taking care of dogs! I now have a 3 year old German Shepherd pure bred, who I raised and helped to train. I just adopted a Hound, who is a 2 year old rescue. I love walking my dogs everyday, and also driving them to parks as well. I feed my dogs everyday, and have always been known to be taking care of dogs my whole life. I am 21 years old, and a student at East Carolina University. I come home very often, especially during breaks, and live here all summer! My pets are apart of my everyday life, and I am willing to take care and spend valuable time with pets whenever needed and necessary for you! I am willing to do just about anything with your pets, such as spending time playing with them, walking them, going to a park, feeding them, making sure they go to bed safe, whatever fits you and your pets needs!
“Very nice people who clearly enjoy furbabies. So glad we found them. Thanks Dale and Karen for taking good care of our pup 🐶 We look forward to many more visits.”

“My dogs had a great time with Rebecca! They had lots of outdoor time, safe in a fenced yard or out for walks. They napped in the sun, and made friends with Rebecca's big, calm, friendly dog, Boris. Rebecca was flexible and professional and quick to respond to communications. Thanks! We'll be back.”

About: Through my own dog owning I’ve learned how to keep the peace between many animals. My family loves to bring all our dogs together so my home facilitates pet care. I care for my pets daily and your pet will join our routine and receive care through their entire stay. Interactive activities provided. Sun-Thr available. Fri-Sun case by case basis. I have three dogs, one elderly small dog and two energetic very friendly medium sized dogs. The small one is kept separate and has scheduled potty times. The two others roam free and have scheduled feeding times and activities that your pet can join! My home has a doggy door so outside will be accessible at all times, I have a fenced in yard. If not potty trained, pet will follow my elderly dogs potty routine. Reactive dogs will be kept separate. Please inform of all your pets needs and habits.

“Charity was super responsive and sent pictures of Jax right away! My schedule was a bit in flux and Charity was very understanding and willing to work with me. Jax came home happy and tuckered out from a day of playing!”

“Overall, I am so happy I found Alex and Christina. They were very accommodating to our pup. He is a bit anxious but A&C we’re very understanding and knew how to manage his behavior and make him feel comfortable. Our dog is on the smaller side and he was in a house with bigger dogs, but they all took their time before I left him to make him feel acclimated with his new daycare mates. I would definitely recommend these folks, they have a great professional demeanor and are very communicative and welcoming. Their space was clean and their dogs seemed very happy and healthy! This place is a great alternative to big chain kennels, we thought about Dogtopia- but they seemed so overcrowded and the dogs just seemed stressed out. Six stars for Alex and Christina! Thank you!”

I’m especially patient with shy or skittish dogs and always help ensure they feel safe and loved. I'm also a distance runner with lots of experience running dogs, so if you have a high-energy pup that needs a good jog, I'd be more than happy to do that!! I'm entirely self-employed, so my schedule is quite flexible! I’m happy to adjust my schedule when needed to make sure your pets get the care and attention they deserve :) When I visit your home, I treat your pets and space with the same respect I’d want for my own. I make sure doors and gates are secure, follow all care instructions closely, and keep a careful eye on your fur baby during walks or visits. Their safety and comfort always come first, and I do my best to keep their routine familiar so they feel at ease while you’re away.

About: I’ve lived with dogs and cats my whole life. I currently have three Portuguese Water Dogs. I train and handle them in multiple dog sports such as agility and dock diving. I am semi retired after selling my business a year ago. Not one to sit still for too long, I think pet caregiving is a great avenue to channel my energy. About: I grew up on a small farm and currently live with one sweet cat and two fun pups! I’ve house sat and worked with a wide range of animals- from dogs and cats to fish and farm animals- often caring for multiple pets at once. I’m flexible, dependable, and always willing to adapt to each pet’s routine and personality. I’ve just finished a work contract and have a flexible schedule for the next few months. About: I currently work as a caretaker at a dog daycare center, where I care for dogs with a wide range of personalities, temperaments, and play styles every day. Whether your dog is super energetic, anxious, older, or just needs a little extra patience and attention, I’m more than comfortable adapting to their needs. I’ve also worked as a farmhand, helping feed and care for animals like chickens and other livestock. I’ve also been around animals my whole life and currently care for a cat, an elderly black lab, and a young hound puppy. I’m a college student hoping to earn extra cash doing something I genuinely love! I treat every animal like one of my best friends and always aim to make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Weekdays: Available after 1:30 PM for walks, drop-ins, and pet care. Weekends: Usually fully available for walks, house sitting, overnight stays, and extended care. I’m a Dog Daycare worker during the weekdays, so my services may be limited to the afternoon + evenings from Monday-Friday. With dogs, I’m very patient and comfortable with all personalities, including high-energy, excitable, or anxious dogs. I focus on calm and respectful handling and try to help very anxious dogs feel safe by giving them space, approaching slowly, and using gentle reassurance like calm voice and light petting on their side when appropriate. I pay attention to body language and always aim to build trust rather than pressure them into an interaction. If a dog is acting out, I redirect their attention and follow any training or behavior instructions provided by the owner. With cats, I’m used to reading their behavior and giving them the space or attention they want. I understand that many cats are super independent and are protective about their space, but I also enjoy working with affectionate, social cats. I have experience caring for kittens, including feeding and basic hands-on care, as well as senior cats who may need routine medication or any extra attention.

Thanks again, Kathryn & family!”

“Colleen did a great job taking care of my old dog, Bentley. She is very knowledgeable about dogs, and especially good with older dogs. This gave us peace of mind. I would definitely recommend her. Best experience I could’ve asked for!”

“We recently moved to NOVA from Midlothian and had to find a new Rover Ally to watch our 2 sweet Goldens- We used someone who lived in the same town and it did not go well at all so we were very nervous about leaving them again with anyone else. I can hands down say this was one of our best Rover experiences ever!! Joel and Janelle have a beautiful place with a large grassy fenced yard! They sent periodic incredible “action” pictures and our Goldens did not seemed stressed at all when we picked them up. We are looking forward to our stay with them early next month.”
