“Cassidy is such a wonderful dog lover. We felt very comfortable with her spending time at our home with Jax. She was communicative, and sent lots of pics. I can't wait to book her again!”

“Paulina helped us out in a pinch. We came in from our of town and needed some help with letting the dogs out. She was great with the pups and we appreciate her taking good care of them.”

“Alexandra made updates the best part of the day for me while I was away! She is so thorough with pictures and a write up of what happened while taking care of my two precious children: an English bulldog named Leo and Potcake named Sandor! I’ll def be contacting Alexandra again when I need in home drop in visits for the kiddos 🩵”

“Lucia did a wonderful job caring for our cat, Finny, during five days of drop-in visits. She followed all of our feeding instructions carefully, including giving him his wet food, dry food, and favorite treats. Finny is very shy and usually hides from strangers, but Lucia made an extra effort to spend time with him, talk to him, and tempt him with treats so he wouldn’t feel alone. We truly appreciated her kindness and attentiveness and would gladly book her again!”

“If you need someone who is reliable and dependable, Katherine is your Rover go to. She really helped me out in a pinch and on short notice. She took complete care of my girl Ruby while away with great communication and daily pics. I will definitely use her again. Thank you so much Katherine.”

“Nothing but good things to say about Charlie!! She took great care of my dogs while I was away. I will definitely ask her to do drop-in visits again when I leave town. Thank you, Charlie! I appreciate the care and attention that you gave my dogs. :)”
About: I was raised on a farm in the countryside. We had cats and dogs among other animals. Many of these I claimed as pets. I've owned several dogs in my lifetime and into their older years and currently have two cats which they think they're human. These little animals are part of our families. This makes them of great importance and priority. Their care should be taken just as seriously as each other. Listening to their needs and watching their habits they communicate. I take great care listening to the sounds and movement of a pet to discern what they are trying to communicate that they need. Flexibility is important when it comes to pet sitting. My children are almost adults now so I have more time to care for another family's pets. I do not have the room for a pet in my home but I have lots of room in my heart to take care of your pet in yours.
“Coming from a third-party perspective, everyone wants their fur babies to be cared for and not taken advantage of. I was skeptical at first about letting someone into my home, but Jennifer completely proved me wrong in the best way. She’s easily one of the best sitters I’ve had. Her communication is excellent, and she truly goes above and beyond to make sure your dog is well taken care of. Whether your dog needs constant attention or just a little, she adapts perfectly. She actively plays with them and meets all their needs. I felt completely at ease. She’s also very accountable and professional. If anything unexpected comes up, she handles it responsibly, and she’s very understanding if you ever need to cancel for an emergency. The level of care she provides is top-notch. I’m really glad I found her; it’s rare to come across someone this reliable.”

“Cheryl has been wonderful! She is attentive and organized and reliable! We have 4 dogs and 1 is about 90 lbs. She’s great with them! She comes to our house regularly for drop ins and 2 of our dogs have gone to her house for a short stay. Highly recommended!”
“Chris made daily drop ins on our cats. We have a cat that’s needed for attention and Chris spent time with it each day. Cats were happy when I came home and Chris was very punctual. I highly recommend using Chris for pet sitting services.”

“Best cat sitters ever. I have never had to use a service like this before. Beyond impress. I was completely at ease knowing that both of my cats were in such loving and caring hands. The photos and notifications were so helpful and kept my mind stress-free. Will absolutely book again.”

I have plenty of time attention, and love to give to your fur babies! I have one dog of my own and a great yard. I will always provide the care and love you want for your furry family member.
“I can’t say enough good things about Farrin! She has an obvious love for animals and such a sweet demeanor. She met me and Charlie before drop in visits for a week and he immediately loved her. She had great communication throughout, sent the cutest pictures, and I had such peace of mind leaving my little guy in her care. Don’t hesitate to use her for your pet. ?”

About: I own 4 Boston Terriers and love them like they are my children. I am big in rescuing dogs especially seniors. I participate in Alaqua. I love animals they are all treated like babies and are spoiled. I am currently working as a Realtor. So I have down time and I manage my own schedule.I am pretty flexible and able to work early hours if needed. I have a fenced yard. I have a doggy door for my dogs. Also we have a pool but have it fenced off so the dogs do not have access to the pool unless I am out there.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
