“Alexandra and crew (people, cats and a dog) were so welcoming that our two aussies were soon happy with their doggie vacation. They had very much built-in play time with the resident dog, and bonded with humans and animals alike in ways we'd not heard of from new contacts since Misty was a puppy (seriously, the pics and descriptions indicated a level of ease, happiness and playfulness we see with them at home). At pick-up time, they were glad to have us visit, but didn't seem completely ready to leave, We cannot imagine a better experience for our pups. If we manage to come to Miramar Beach again, we will definitely try Alexandra again.”

“As always they took excellent care of our fur babies, even our high strung Aussie. Super flexible when a tropical storm interfered with our vacation causing us to get home late. Highly recommend.”

“Our dog Lady had the time of her life with David, Krysta, their boys, and her new best friends, Archie & Flash. We were heading to the beach for a portion of our vacation, and our condo did not allow pets. We needed her to be nearby and found David and Krysta through Rover. We got great pictures and videos of her time with the family, and their nice backyard and house was perfect for her. She was treated like a member of their family. In fact, when we got there to pick her up, she was trying to go back in their house and keep playing. :) So thankful we found this nice family to take such wonderful care of Lady!”

“Lightning always enjoys his stay with Dakota and her family! Traveling back I was delayed and not able to pick him up at his scheduled time, but Dakota was very understanding! Would recommend her services to any pet owner.”

“Gabrielle was amazing!!! We were in Destin for a family trip and wanted to bring our dogs with us. The resort we were at doesn’t allow pets so we needed a sitter nearby. Our dogs were always safe in her care, and we received tons of updates and photos daily. We were even able to take our dogs for a couple of hours since she was so flexible:) I would definitely recommend Gabrielle for anyone wanting a sitter, and we’ll be booking with her again next time we’re in the area!!❤️”

About: All my life, I thought I was a cat person. Then Jameson and Christopher happened… and I got converted. 😂🐾 Now I research dog behavior, work on training and commands, and probably get way too excited when they listen and learn something new. I’m patient, very hands-on, and affectionate. I believe structure and consistency are the key to almost everything. I also have two tweens who help care for our dogs and absolutely love having another furry friend around to play with and give attention to. With me, your dog gets walks, playtime, attention, treats (with your permission!), belly rubs, and people who genuinely enjoy having dogs around. And because I speak English and Spanish, my dogs are bilingual. 😂 So there’s a small chance yours goes home knowing a little Spanish too. 😉🐾 I’m a full-time mom, and I homeschool my two boys, which means my schedule is flexible, intentional, and home-centered. Daily walks, playtime, feeding schedules, training, and supervision are part of my normal rhythm. Routine and reliability matter in my household. Pets are supervised, engaged, and treated like family, not left alone for long stretches. I care for pets the same way I care for my own kids: with routine, attention, and respect. I stick closely to feeding schedules, exercise needs, and home rules. While I don’t have a patio, we’re five minutes from the dog park and can take daily walks to nearby nature spots.
“Anna was so wonderful with my Max, I got pics and videos every day! She was a vet tech and I felt so comfortable with her knowledge of all his old man medications ? She was also very accommodating when I was going to be out of the country using a different app so we could communicate. Max is even going to be with her for the holidays as well when I’m out of town. I have no doubts he will have another wonderful mini vacation at Anna’s.”

“Ashlea took care of my dog Suki this past weekend after I contacted her on very short notice. We scheduled a meet-and-greet the same day I reached out. During our weekend vacation, she sent me several cute pictures of my dog with quick updates on how she's doing and settling in. I'm grateful I found her on Rover. We'll definitely be back for more mini-vacations. Thank you for taking care of our sweet dog, Ashlea & Family”

“Renee is nice, her house is nice (although I didn't see the backyard so I can't comment there). She has several small dogs who played with Walter. She was good about texting pictures and communication.”

“Jack and Jordan were extremely patient and loving towards our very energetic 8 month old Boston. Jack maintained regular contact during our trip away from home and sent plenty of pics. Thank you so much for treating our puppy like family!”

“We feel that Mia received the best of care from Rosemary & Matthew. I'm sure she was in good hands.....even tho she hid in the closet for most of her stay! We would use them again.”

“Eric is a great sitter. I never worry about Stella when she is in his care. Eric is flexible and easy to work with. He keeps me updated on her daily. Highly recommend!”

“Dana did a great job with Pancake! She was a great communicator and sent pictures daily. Pancake was well taken care of… and was sad to leave Dana’s house, dog and family!! We’ll definitely use Dana again!”

“We had a great experience! Ginny was very nice, kept us updated with pictures, and took great care of Cali and Diego. They’re both completely knocked out today, so I’m pretty sure they had a great time! 😂 We felt comfortable leaving them in her care and would definitely book with her again. Highly recommend!”

“I was new to the area and looking to find a sitter for my dog on short notice. I connected with Nicole and she took great care of my dog during my travels. Communications were easy and she worked with me on a few scheduling challenges. My dog was very happy in her care and Nicole sent a fun video during the stay. Highly recommend.”

“Lina was great with my toy Aussie who is a bit of a handful! He requires lots of kindness & understanding as he is scared of everything! Lina did a great job at making him feel comfortable. She sent lots of updates, pictures and even a fun video! Will definitely use Lina again in the future!”

“This was our first time using Rover and everything was so simple and fast. Schyrita was great and gave us updates on our fur baby. I will definitely use her again, next time we are in town.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Miramar Beach
Katherine was the best provider for my Woo. She was very communicative, friendly and very loving towards my pup. She sent pics without me asking. I received 2 to 3 pics every morning, afternoon and evening, along with a note about what he and her fur babies were doing. She was always quick to respond and she encouraged me to visit or take Woo on outings. She always made herself available. I will always call Katherine when I'm visiting Miramar Beach. Thank you so much, Katherine, for taking such good care of my baby.

Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
