“Karissa was an incredible pet sitter. Very responsive, sent lots of updates and cared well for my elderly dogs. I would highly recommend her. Very thankful we found her!”

“Charlie was amazing!! This was our first time using Rover, and she came to stay at our house while we were out of town for a work conference. Not only did she do a great job watching our dogs (a 2.5 year old and a 5 month old puppy), but she also took care of the house while we were out of town. She sent tons of pics everyday to show how the pups were doing, and sent regular updates as well. Can’t recommend Charlie enough!”

I can stop by throughout the day to check on, feed, play with, and care for your pets. If needed, I am also available for overnight stays and extended care. I truly enjoy spending time with animals and am happy to dedicate several hours to making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I am happy to stay in your home to provide comfort, companionship, and consistency for your pet while you’re away. I can follow your pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, playtime, walks, medications, and bedtime routines. I am committed to going the extra mile to give your pet the attention, care, and security they deserve, treating them as if they were my own.
“Stephanie was wonderful with our Pua. When we got home Pua was calm and eating her food, which is an amazing relief to us. Stephanie showed up early, was professional and sent a photo of Pua sleeping in her favorite spot. Thank you so much for taking such good care of our little Frenchie.”

“Thankful for Lucia’s care of my senior pup while I was away! She was communicative with updates & photos each day, which I appreciated so much. My pup had some digestive upset during the time she was looking after him and she was very helpful & understanding in dealing with it. I came home to a content pup asleep on the couch and my home was well kept! Thank you again, Lucia. Wouldn’t hesitate to reach out again for care if needed!”

About: Throughout my lifetime I have lived in a houseful of dogs and cats . My mom and I are dog rescue volunteers and most of them tended to end up in our loving home🩷 because of this I have a huge love for our furry friends and a great understanding of how to care for dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes and from all walks of life. There is no expense spared when it comes to comfort, love, and care for all animals I encounter. God gave us the mighty task of taking care of man’s best friend! I work from home so my animals and visiting animals get so much love and attention! I am always there when they need love, food, or potty breaks. The most time my animals go without these things is 2 to 4 hours on the weekends for errands and like. During the week and most of the weekend, my animals have free range of my home including my office, where I work. I supply my dog with plenty of toys and chew things so that he always has something to do but mostly he just wants my attention haha! My cats and dog typically free feed throughout the day. However, this does change if I have visiting animals. My animals are quite flexible and very chill, so any requirements for visiting fur babies can easily be accommodated.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! Elisabeth took such great care of our dog, Murphy, while we were away. She kept us updated with frequent messages and photos, which helped us relax and really enjoy our trip. Murphy looked so happy and comfortable the whole time! We came home to a calm, content pup and a tidy house. We’d absolutely trust her to watch him again!! Highly recommend!”

“Elizabeth did a fantastic job at watching and caring for both our dogs. She definitely went above and beyond in all areas. If we're ever back in the area again, we will definitely be looking her up for her pet sitting services. Thank you E!”

“Jennifer was incredibly caring, thoughtful and communicative while watching my pup. She didn't just walk her and feed her. She tried to bond with her which is incredible.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Miramar Beach
Hannah was awesome and friendly. She’s very experienced with pups and cared for Briley like she would her own! She kept us updated and kept our pup on her schedule and normal routine while we were away so we could enjoy a care free vacation. We so appreciate her and would definitely book again!

Megan is absolutely fantastic. She’s a wonderful, intelligent, caring person whose energy is unmatched. She fit right into our family for the 4 days she watched our dog and made our vacation easy and enjoyable. Our dog is hesitant with new people, however after 5 minutes of meeting each other her and Megan were friends like they’d known each other for years. Megan was diligent in ensuring all our dog’s needs were met and she went above and beyond to ensure Maggie was comfortable in her care. Megan also provided us periodic updates at our request which allowed us to focus on our family time together. We will be vacationing again in Miramar next year and absolutely will be having Megan for the entirety of our stay. Thank you Megan for making Maggie’s vacation and ours so enjoyable and memorable. We’ll see you next summer!

FAQs for House Sitting - Miramar Beach
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Miramar Beach on Rover is $44.94 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 408 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Miramar Beach. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Miramar Beach walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Miramar Beach maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Miramar Beach choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
