“Alexandra and crew (people, cats and a dog) were so welcoming that our two aussies were soon happy with their doggie vacation. They had very much built-in play time with the resident dog, and bonded with humans and animals alike in ways we'd not heard of from new contacts since Misty was a puppy (seriously, the pics and descriptions indicated a level of ease, happiness and playfulness we see with them at home). At pick-up time, they were glad to have us visit, but didn't seem completely ready to leave, We cannot imagine a better experience for our pups. If we manage to come to Miramar Beach again, we will definitely try Alexandra again.”

I have had and trained many puppies and I am aware of the importance of good crate training and schedules! I am also versed in special needs dogs that have limited mobility and medical needs. It has been many years since I have had cats (ex husband had allergies) but they are truly amazing creatures. You always feels so honored to be given their attention! I have also had guinea pigs, rabbits, goats, birds and a horse. I am currently working part time and have lots of flexibility in timing. I am usually an early bird and don't mind visits that are earlier in the day. I do normally turn in early but can make adjustments as needed with advance planning. My typical visit includes lots and lots of attention after meeting basic toileting needs. We go outside, sniff, play catch, get lots of pets. I will make sure that food and water is available unless otherwise directed. I clean up any accidents that may have occurred. I try to make sure the dog/cat has toys or enrichment available to entertain them until their parents come home. If needed, I can pick up mail or packages and bring them inside.

About: In 2005 I started Destin Pet Nanny in Destin FL. I ran this business for 2 years until I got in real estate (in hindsight, wish I had kept it going!!!) The business was dog walking, dog sitting and dog boarding/in home overnight stays. Since then I have had 2 dogs - a Jack Russell Terrier who lived to 17 1/2 and then my havanese mix rescue I've had for 6 years. She is very very sweet and good with all other dogs. I LOVE dogs and would rather spend my time with pups than most people! *smile* I work part time from home so I am available most of the time. I spend most of my time with Maggie and don't like to leave her for any length of time so your pup would get that same attention. I rarely leave home for longer than 2 hours. My home is tiles throughout and i have plenty of doggie stairs and dog mats for the pups I live in Grand Sandestin in a condo. There is a large deck where Maggie and I sit out and watch sunset or just hang out and watch the people walking by below. All Baytowne/Sandestin area is dog friendly and a great place to walk the pups. Maggie and I live alone and she is a very sweet, loving dog.

My apartment itself is a two bedroom with a living room, kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, balcony (which is safe for pets,) and 6 cameras installed to help with monitoring pets in-house. Pets visiting my home will be staying in my gated-off living room where they can play, free-roam, and lounge on my dog beds. I dedicate my whole living room for the animals I pet-sit so there is plenty of empty space for playing, running, and setting up crates or play pens, if needed. For the nighttime, pets (if they don’t sleep in a crate/pen) will also be sleeping in my living room or with me in my bedroom, if they need more company and or supervision. Pets will also be in my bedroom (which has a floor bed) when it’s cuddle time (which is something that happens a lot). In addition to this, for exercise and going potty, pets will be taken on walks and will have the ability to utilize my apartment complex’s dog-park (when there are no other dogs present besides my own.) Please also note that feedings will entirely depend on the instructions of the owner(s) and that for hydration, a water bowl will always be accessible to pets both in my home and on-the-go. Pet-care at your home: I will care for your pet in any way that is instructed of me in your home!

Luxury pet services such as beach walks, trail adventures, swimming (if allowed) in the pool, pup cup play dates, etc. etc. I offer care for pets of all sizes as i have experience training and caring for both small and large dogs. I am a certified trainer and have seven years of training and care experience.

About: In 2005 I started Destin Pet Nanny in Destin FL. I ran this business for 2 years until I got in real estate (in hindsight, wish I had kept it going!!!) The business was dog walking, dog sitting and dog boarding/in home overnight stays. Since then I have had 2 dogs - a Jack Russell Terrier who lived to 17 1/2 and then my havanese mix rescue I've had for 6 years. She is very very sweet and good with all other dogs. I LOVE dogs and would rather spend my time with pups than most people! *smile* I work part time from home so I am available most of the time. I spend most of my time with Maggie and don't like to leave her for any length of time so your pup would get that same attention. I rarely leave home for longer than 2 hours. My home is tiles throughout and i have plenty of doggie stairs and dog mats for the pups I live in Grand Sandestin in a condo. There is a large deck where Maggie and I sit out and watch sunset or just hang out and watch the people walking by below. All Baytowne/Sandestin area is dog friendly and a great place to walk the pups. Maggie and I live alone and she is a very sweet, loving dog.

They had very much built-in play time with the resident dog, and bonded with humans and animals alike in ways we'd not heard of from new contacts since Misty was a puppy (seriously, the pics and descriptions indicated a level of ease, happiness and playfulness we see with them at home). At pick-up time, they were glad to have us visit, but didn't seem completely ready to leave, We cannot imagine a better experience for our pups. If we manage to come to Miramar Beach again, we will definitely try Alexandra again.”
