“Absolutely amazing pet sitter. Princess demonstrated extremely good communication skills and treated my dog like he was one of her own. She sent me photos and lots of updates while he was in her care. I highly recommend you trust Princess with your pet!”

“Sebastian and his wife were absolutely amazing! I am a very Type A pet mom and they were patient and follow all of my directions. I got pictures and videos daily and they communicated quickly with me. This was the first time I left my baby with someone that’s not immediate family and I was put as ease for my whole trip! I 1000% recommend booking with him and I can’t wait until my next vacation, now I don’t have to worry where my baby will go.”

“William was a great sitter for my rottie. He communicated frequently and sent pictures , so i could see my pup was happy. I hope to use him again in the future, I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and kind dog sitter.”

“Yuleivys took care of my dog on a last minute notice and took great care of him while I was gone. She sent many pictures and text updates as well. Tony had a great time and I would really recommend Yuleivys as a dog sitter!”

“Nancy is very nice and genuine, and her husband is just as kind. Nancy kept me updated throughout the stay with plenty of photos, which I really appreciated. My flight had a bit of a delay and Nancy was understanding and flexible. We will absolutely be using her again!”

“Dicle always takes such incredible care of my pup Leila and loves her as one of her own. She's wonderful, compassionate, kind, and always considerate. Even when Leila wasn't eating very much (she has a sensitive tummy), Dicle sat with her until she finished her food or fed her boiled chicken to calm her belly. Other times, she offered to top her food with various treats to better entice her to eat, which was so sweet! She gives Leila all the pets and cuddles and they watch movies together. I trust Dicle and her husband for always going above and beyond to make sure pups feel at home, even when they're away from home. I know leaving Leila with Dicle means she will have exceptional care and love when I'm away. I can't recommend them enough!”

“We have used Carolina several times and she’s fantastic. I hate leaving my dog but I know she’s in great hands whenever I do. She’s our go-to when we can’t take Olive with us.”

“Laura and her family were amazing. This was my first time boarding my dog and I had many concerns but she was able to relieve them. I was going on a cruise where I would only have internet on port days. She remembered those port days and would send updates to our chat the morning of. When I got service on those days it was such a relief to see an update on Chewie. I was worry free by the second time and continued to enjoy my vacation. Truly awesome! I will definitely book again with Laura and her family when I go on vacation! Thank you so much again!!”

“Irina was absolutely amazing with Max. From the moment we met her, I felt comfortable leaving him in her care. She kept me updated the whole time with photos and messages about how he was doing, which really meant a lot to me. It gave me peace of mind knowing he was safe and happy. Max seemed to really enjoy being with her, and I could tell he was in a caring and positive environment. She was attentive. I would definitely ask her to dog sit Max again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable, kind, and communicative. can’t wait to book her again! 🩷”

About: Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with a golden retriever, and my Australian shepherd was my best friend from the time I was 21 until I recently lost him. I've spent a lot of time around high-energy dogs like Aussies and doodles, I helped raise and train a hyper little mini doodle for a friend, walking him, teaching him tricks, and potty training him every day. I've also watched my neighbors dogs for long hours while they were at work, so I'm used to dogs who need company through the day. And I know what it's like to care for a dog that's slowing down. My Aussie had Degenerative Myelopathy and dementia toward the end, so I have real patience and experience with senior dogs who need extra help getting around. Whether your dog wants a long walk or run or just gentle, patient attention, I'll take good care of them. I work from home, so I have plenty of time to give your dog attention throughout the day. I'm available daily or on weekends: morning, night, or anytime during the day. In my home: I live in a second-floor apartment with a quick, easy exit to outside. There's a huge lawn and walking area right nearby, so getting your dog out for potty breaks and walks is simple. Inside, I keep toys on hand, always have fresh water and food available, and the apartment stays cool and comfortable with AC. In your home: I'll respect your space and stick to your dog's normal routine feeding, walks, playtime, and potty breaks on their usual schedule. I'm happy to follow any house rules or instructions you leave, keep things tidy, and make sure your pet feels safe and comfortable in their own environment.
“Marielys was the most amazing dogs that I’ve ever had Yankee stay with. She sent me amazing pictures and videos of him every single day kept me updated on their daily plans and made sure he was comfortable and cozy in her home. Highly recommend.”

About: I'm a work from home mom with two children, ages 6 and 9. We've had dogs in our family since they were babies, so they're very comfortable and respectful around pets. Our home is active, loving, and full of attention for furry visitors. Because I work from home, I have a flexible schedule and can provide plenty of supervision, playtime, walks, and companionship throughout the day. We enjoy staying active and making sure every dog feels safe, happy, and part of the family while they're with us. I believe pet care should be fun, positive, and stress free for both pets and their owners. I'd love the opportunity to care for your dog and give them lots of attention, exercise, and affection while you're away! I work from home, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention and care throughout the day. My flexible schedule makes it easy for me to provide walks, playtime, and regular check ins to keep your pet happy and comfortable. I care for every pet as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I follow the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions from the owner. Whether in my home or a client’s home, I make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I also keep owners updated with messages and photos so they can feel confident their pet is happy and well cared for.
“I’ve been through a few sitters for my golden boy but Gaby has been by far the best and I’m not a review leaving type of person! She was so detailed in her updates, so loving and caring to my boy. So happy to have found someone i trust with my fur baby! Thank you Gaby! 🫶🏼”

“Erick was amazing. I’m so glad that I discovered him for so many reasons. Location is close to where we live, he resides in a home which gives my wife and I less stress about being secured while outside and not cooped up inside a small space. Erick sent daily updates about our little girl along with photos. He followed all of our daily routines for Paris which is important due to her health high demands. I was pleased that he allowed me to view his home before deciding to select his service. This gave me peace of mind and the ability to see that Erick kept a very clean house - unlike a previous experience I had that left our dog with an infection. I will definitely use Erick over and over when we leave town.”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a last minute trip, and Xavier G took amazing care of our three dogs; Sherlock, Benny, and Teddy. He made the whole experience stress-free, kept us updated, and treated our dogs like his own. They came home happy, healthy, and well cared for. We couldn’t have asked for better care and will definitely book with him again. Highly recommend!

Penelope was amazing with our Nala and we cant thank her enough! She was always very fast to respond with photos, videos and messages, putting us at ease and making it a bit easier to leave our pup with a sitter. It seemed like Nala loved every minute of being with Penelope and the pup crew that was there for the week. We would highly recommend Penelope and look forward to being able to use her services again.

Princess was an absolute gem!! She was available last minute & was flexible and kind enough to also extend my babies stay. She welcomed Brie with love & open arms as well as updates throughout her stay and was very communicative. Will absolutely book again in the future!

Veronica was a fantastic sitter for our dog during our 2 weeks out. She was very accommodating and kept us updated during the entire time with a very timely and fluid communication. During the stay our dog got sick and she promptly let us know and asked for permission to bring in a vet to check him up. We will definitely be using her again soon.

This was my first time using Rover and I can say that I was extremely nervous about how it would all work out. Magda and her daughters were nothing but amazing, responsive and diligent in caring for my cat. Magda made sure my cat had everything he needed, as well as sent pictures and videos every day so that I could see how he was doing. I’m very thankful that she was able to take care of my cat and I will definitely rebook for any trips in the future. 🫶🏾

Virgina is the best!! I can always enjoy my trip knowing my cat is well fed, cared for and loved. She sends me lots of updates without me having to ask. My cat means everything to me so I feel very comfortable enjoying my travels without worrying. Virgina has been watching my cat while I have traveled many times and I will always to continue to request working with her. Can’t recommend enough!

Andy and his family took exceptional care of our two miniature dachshunds, who definitely aren’t your average dogs when it comes to the attention and care they need. They’re very cuddly, a little needy, and thrive on lots of love and affection. We provided Andy with a detailed daily care routine, and he followed every instruction perfectly without any issues. He also sent us photos every day, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. On top of that, he was incredibly flexible and accommodating with both our drop-off and pickup times. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you so much to Andy and his family for taking such wonderful care of our pups! 🙏

Amanda was wonderful with Nitro! She was very welcoming from the start and took great care of him while we were away. We really appreciated all of the updates and photos she sent, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear that Nitro was well cared for and happy. We would absolutely recommend Amanda to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter. Thank you again!

They were great with Goose, sent us pictures and kept us updated on what he was doing. They came for Goose and dropped him off because of unseen circumstances. Will definitely use them again when we go on another cruise. Thank you so much for taking care of our boy.

Best pet sitter ever! This was my second time using the app, and the experience was perfect. She kept me updated every day with messages and photos, and she took the time to ask questions to really get to know my dog and his needs. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such caring and attentive hands. Thank you for everything—you went above and beyond, and I would absolutely book with you again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
