“Great job! I was in a pinch and Jack was able to come walk my little buddy. Gave him an extra long walk in the afternoon! A true animal lover. Would definitely recommend and use again!”

About: Hello! My name is Avery ..... I have had dogs all throughout my life and plan to keep it that way! As a kid I grew up with with two beagles, a chocolate lab, a pit bull, and most recently a rescue shar pei/ lab mix. I love seeing every animals personality shine through and spoiling them with love and attention. Each one of my dogs has loved the outdoors (almost as much as me) and had lives full of adventure and exercise. I have also lived with cats and love them (through my previous roommate). I love animals of all breeds and sizes and would love the chance to meet yours! I am a current student so my schedule is semi flexible at the moment. Currently unavailable/working Tuesday evenings (although i pick up other shifts when im able). I try my best to keep my calendar updated to reflect my availability, please reach out if you have any questions! I am super active and would love to spend time outside walking with your pet if you' like and the weather allows! If not we can spend time in-doors playing.

About: My name is Kate and my love for animals is what prompted me to enter the world of pet care. I grew up in a home with dogs and guniea pigs and learned early on how to be responsible in caring for a pet. The Humane Society was close to my childhood home, I would walk there weekly to go in and visit all the different animals and dreamed of owning a bunch one day myself. Later on in my twenties I learned what it was like to have a cat and now am a self proclaimed, obsessed with all the things cat. Currently I have two cats, a spunky Bengal named Benny and a sophisticated tuxedo baby named Olive. My hobbies include weightlifting, walking, yoga, ceramics, listening to podcasts, reading, baking and traveling. I currently work full time Mon-Thurs, 4 days a week which allows me to have, Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning or afternoons available for drop-in visits or walking your pet. I currently am not able to board any other animals in my home as I have two cats that prefer to be the only pets.

About: I’ve been a groomers assistant and bather at a grooming shop and doggie daycare for a few years in past and I have access to a dog bathing suite for $15 for the use and $25 per dog. Blow drying those furry friends coats out! :) I’ve been dog and house sitting for years and I have had a few dogs of my own. I get excited to see every dog and cat I meet, they really make my day. If you’re out of my walking radius and still would like me to care for your pets you can provide transportation fees then I’d be happy to accept the jobs if I’m available that are last minute when you can’t find someone else. This is my only job, caring for pets now. I have worked for over 30 years and I have found pet sitting to be the best retirement gig for my wellbeing. So I’m available quite a bit. I can walk dogs or do house visits for either cats or dogs. I can help with training if you have rules or something you’d like me to help with for your pets. I can also pick up an item you may need from premier pet shop.

About: I have taken care of various types of dog babies across many states. I learn quickly about what a dog needs especially when factoring in weather. I work from home most days and run in the evening. Usually long distance runs are in the morning so not inconvenient for night stays. For my home, I have a very spacious dog park and closed in balcony. Also live close to the riverwalk for night walks. There is space in home for medium sized crates if necessary.

“Marissa is amazing!! During our meet and greet, she was very attentive and asked thoughtful questions that showed me she is well-versed in dog behavior. Her communication is prompt and friendly, and I could tell my dogs adored her!!”

“Jeanette is the best. She is so thoughtful in how she takes care of our little monster. Details like throwing ice in his bowl and making sure he is safely taken care of on a hot day mean so much to us. 🐶❤️”

About: We took care of our beloved dog for all 12 years of her life. Our house is fully equipped to give your dog a comfortable stay, including a fenced in back yard. And our kids will make sure your dog is entertained and well-loved. I currently only work outside the home on Tuesdays and Thursdays. My husband is gone from 9-3, so the longest your dog would be alone is 6 hours on the days that I work. We have a large house, designated pet area within the home, and a fenced in backyard. We have all the basic amenities to make your dog stay easy on you and comfortable for your dog. We have no other pets currently in the home, but we do have three kids ranging from 2-10 who are comfortable around dogs and have learned how to appropriate play with them.

“tara is excellent - timely, reliable, and communicative. I had no worries leaving my dog with her for walks, and she's absolutely someone I would rely upon in the future. highly recommend!”

About: I've helped care for family pets in the past, am an attentive cat mama of my own 2 year old cat, and have also previously provided animal care as a personal assistant in Metro Detroit. I've had practice and done a lot of researching to make sure I am a knowledgeable and resourceful caretaker. I work hybrid! When working from home, I can keep my eye on them. And I prepare very well when I know I'm going to be away for a few hours. I understand wanting to make sure animals are tended to, so even if I do have to step out, I time it and try to make sure I'm not gone too long. We will be indoors! If you want your cat to get fresh air outside (aside from being at an open screened window), I have a backpack with a window bubble on it specifically made for small animals, it also opens out into a small structure that'll let them play and stretch their legs a lot more while still not able to roam without supervision! I also have a little tote bag for an animal where they can poke their cute head out. I keep an eye on what they're interacting with to make sure it's nothing that'll harm them as well.

About: I've taken care of dogs and cats since I was old enough for my parents and neighbors to trust me! Grew up with multiple of my both in the house and naturally my first job was dog walking and house sitting around the neighborhood. Have experience working with older pets, puppies / kittens, and large breeds. Currently, live in the Corktown neighborhood with my Australian Shepherd Mel. If you see us out on a walk, say hello! I'm currently working part-time, so my schedule is flexible to accommodate your ideal walking and / or care schedule. My Australian Shepard Mel and I walk around Corktown daily and am always up for spending more time outside! For Dog Walking: I follow your lead on your dog's tendencies / preferences. I adhere to your preferred routes and instructions regarding leash etiquette, avoiding off-leash situations unless explicitly discussed and approved. If your dog enjoys canine company, I'm happy to bring my Aussie Mel along, who loves walking with friends! If your dog likes playing ball / frisbee, happy to discuss how we can accommodate that as well. For In-Home Pet Check-ins: I pay close attention to your pet's behavior and appetite, reporting any concerns to you immediately. I ensure fresh water is always available and clean up any messes promptly. I prioritize respecting your space, leaving it just as I found it.

“Ashley was such a great sitter & walker for goose! Great at communicating and took time to come over and meet him prior to his visit. We definitely plan on using her again!”

About: I've been around dogs my whole life, my parents raised seeing eye dogs, and I helped with training and daily care from a young age. In my teens, I helped my mom run a small dog-boarding business out of our home, so I'm used to dogs with all kinds of temperaments and routines. Over the years, I've often been the go-to friend for dogs that need a little extra patience or understanding, whether that's a shy senior or a high-energy handful. I recently lost my own pup, and while l'm not ready for another full-time, I miss having a dog around and love being able to offer that care and attention to someone else's. I'm currently working on fixing up my very old duplex so I'm home, tinkering around most of the time, and my schedule is flexible. If you're worried about your pet being in a construction zone, not to worry! The living area is safe and segmented from anything that might be hazardous yet intriguing to your pet. I have a partially fenced yard, perfect for supervised play. Living in midtown means that there's plenty of interesting things to smell along walks. I can crate your dog if needed, and you're welcome to bring their own if that makes them most comfortable. I have quite a few house plants in my space, so please let me know if your pup is prone to chewing on them and I will move them out of the way for their visit.

“Jordan was wonderful with our 3 month old puppy! He responded within minutes, was very professional and came to meet our pup the day after we contacted him. Our pup took to him immediately, and Jordan came and walked him several days a week for three weeks. Each time, he was prompt, sent us pictures and a run down of how each walk went. Jordan was also very flexible with a few of our unexpected schedule changes. He is truly an ideal person to trust in caring for your dog, and we will absolutely be requesting his services again!”

Avery H.Star Sitter
“Avery has been an incredible pet owner and caretaker since we met in 6th grade. Her dedication and love for animals are unparalleled, making her the perfect person to entrust with your fur babies. Personal experiences have proven her reliability and responsibility. Avery graciously stayed at my house to watch my two cats for over 2 weeks while I was out of the country. She treated them with the same love and care as I do, ensuring they felt comfortable and secure. I knew she had all situations under control which was comforting with me being so far away. Now having her own dog, she loves taking her high energy companion on long walks, visits parks, farmers markets, and arranges puppy playdates, all to enrich Goose's life with joy and social interactions. Avery's hardworking nature and unwavering trustworthiness make her an ideal pet owner. She wholeheartedly cares for animals, and her dedication ensures that your beloved pets will receive the utmost attention, love, and care they deserve. Rest assured, your furry friends will be in excellent hands with Avery, and she will flawlessly fulfill their every need.”

Kate is not only kind and compassionate but she has the knowledge and work ethic that allows me to relax and trust her with my fur babies while I travel. “Raeshawn is amazing with my dog!”

Christian G.
“Christian has been absolutely wonderful with our 9-year-old Vizsla, Lily. She's a sweet, energetic dog who still loves her daily walks, and Christian has been the perfect match for her. He’s reliable, kind, and clearly loves dogs — Lily gets so excited every time she sees him! We really appreciate how attentive he is to her needs, especially considering her age. He gives her the right balance of exercise and care, and always makes sure she’s comfortable and happy. We’ve noticed Lily seems calmer and more content on the days she walks with Christian. Highly recommend Christian to anyone looking for a responsible, trustworthy, and genuinely caring dog walker. Lily gives him two paws up!”
