“Jieun was great with Jax- took it in stride when he was shaking when he arrived, and made him at ease quickly- sending us pics to reassure us all was well! Appreciated the contact throughout the day! Grateful for her!!”

About: I've owned large-breed dogs my whole life and have dog sitted for dogs of all sizes and ages, from Dachshund to Great Dane. I have experience caring for hospice pets, administering medication, and caring for pets post-surgery. I'm home full-time (I homeschool my 11-year-old son) and am able to provide your pet with loving care and attention throughout the day. I have a fully fenced-in back yard, providing a safe, secure and supervised environment for your pet. I look forward to caring for your fur baby! I'm home full-time to homeschool my 11-year-old son, which means I'm able to accommodate any scheduling your pet needs, and am available throughout the day to care for, love, and supervise your pet. I'm home all day able to provide direct supervision throughout the day to ensure your pet's safety and care. Additionally, I have a fully fenced-in back yard with direct access from the house. I have two adult dogs (Mica 7 years old and Garnet 5 years old) who are both ready to provide your dog with company throughout the day. My home has an open floor plan layout, which allows for continuous supervision of all dogs throughout the day. There are only 4 steps in/out of the house, allowing for easy access for senior dogs or any dogs who have trouble on stairs. The flooring is a mix of carpet and hard floor. My son is 11 years old and has had a dog sibling throughout his life. He is gentle with all the pets he meets.
About: Hi! Outside of work, I spend much of my time at home & really enjoy being around dogs! My Boxer Drayke always deserves my time & your dog does too! I grew up taking care of family dogs and that is where my love for them started. At home, we enjoy walks, playing at the park & catching some rays while soaking in all the outdoors has to offer. I'm excited to be at a place to where I have more flexibility and am able to commit to working with Rover again. We have plenty of safe, non-destructible toys to play with with lots of space to lounge around. I'm available weekdays and weekends for any service needed. Happy to help where I'm able to. We promote a 100% healthy, safe & happy environment of course. Hope to hear from you and your pet soon! Many thanks. My schedule is pretty flexible 7 days a week and if I know in advance of what's needed I can accommodate my schedule to yours. I pay attention closely to ensure pets are safe and having fun. Really laid back, quiet environment at home. Want you to know your pet is safe and cared for.
“Tina was wonderful! Great communication and flexible on timing with us. She was very kind to our Louie and sent us several photos and updates while we were away for the day. Will definitely have our guy stay with her again!”

About: Hello thank you for visiting my profile. I've cared for pets for as long as I can remember. As a kid I used to take in strays, give them water, feed them, and try to find their owner. My mom used to say I don't find dogs, dogs find me! This was the case when I was 15 living in Stamford. It was a cold snowy Christmas eve and I happened to look out my back window and noticed a shivering all bones scared Sheppard in the backyard. I immediately ran outside with a treat and gained her trust. It took weeks but with the help of a vet she was nursed back to health. I convinced my parents to take her in and I named her Founder (found her). Best dog ever! Today I continue to work with stray animals as the producer of “Perros de Colombia” (search IMDB) and was fortunate to care for my beloved Miniature Schnauzer Myles for 17 years so I do understand the time and energy to not only raise a dog, but to care for another person's pet as if they were my own. I'm an entrepreneur who works from home. My kids are now college graduates and my situation is ideal to dedicate my time and energy to care for your pet morning, day, nights, and weekends. I have a nice yard and my house is near Wooster Park with a large field. While inside your pet can roam about freely or hangout in the home office.
About: I've been a dog owner for the last 20 years. All my dogs have been rescues, several have been shy dogs that needed extra TLC. I have a special talent connecting with shy dogs and helping them come out of their shell. I also love working with extroverted dogs who love to play and interact. I have a full-time mostly WFH job. I'm available for after-hour drop ins and walks, weekend visits, overnights, and boarding. I know how hard it can be to find petcare (especially during off hours) and I'd like to help with that. My home is safe and secure with a small fenced in backyard away from the road. I have two dogs to keep your pets company. I can help with crating your dog as well. Our home is quiet, serene, and private.
“My dog Fox loved his time with Michael! Michael is communicative, attentive, and so accommodating. As nerve wracking as it is to leave your pet with someone new, Michael’s dedication and attention to his own dogs eased any nerves I had. My dog got to live his best life from morning to sundown, whether it be running with Michael’s dogs endlessly in the yard or going to the beach. He essentially had the best day at ‘summer camp’. If you need someone to care for your pet, don’t think twice and book with Mark!! So glad to have found our go to friends for Fox.”

“Gwynne is amazing! We just started using her a few weeks ago and every time my dog Lola goes to stay at Gwynne’s she is excited and has a great time. I definitely recommend Gwynne, she’s the only dog sitter we use ☺️”

“Laura & family were super responsive to messages, sent lots of photos and looked after our dog very well during her daycare session. Highly recommended!”

“Siqing is an absolute angel and took such good care of Mia. She was quick to respond, patient with our last minute request. She sent pictures and let us know how Mia was doing during her stay. So nice to get away for a little bit and know my dog will be well taken care of...Siqing is the best!!! :)”

“Ashley was very communicative and was a great sitter for our little guy. Our dog is normally very shy and doesn’t like new surroundings, but Ashley was able to make him feel right at home, sending me photos of my pup smiling.. actually smiling because he was having a grand ole time. 10/10 recommend!”

About: I used to have a dog when I was 4. I played with her, feed her, and gave her a bath 3 days and 2 times a week. I also took her for walk. When I was 8 my Dad decided to give it away to my other Uncle on his side. Because we were moving to an apartment and there wasn't any room. Because I was 4 my brother was born and it was too crowded. A year later my parents got a cat and I have her ever since. I love dogs and other animals I took good care of my Uncle's dogs in my early teens. Also loved taking care of my dad's dog. I am very in-tuned to animals and will be the same with yours.
About: I truly believe I was born to be a caretaker. I am kind, compassionate, nurturing, loving, and always attentive to and respectful of a pet's individual needs—whether it's playtime, downtime, or sticking to their routine/schedule. I see and treat pets as kids who view us as their whole world, so I love to care for and involve them in my day-to-day life in return! The past 4 years, I co-parented two amazing black cats, King (Bombay, 8) and Nylah (Burmese, 5). Their individual personalities and quirks always bring me so much joy as a cat mom. They love playing, cuddling, sunbathing, being involved, and even talk back! I treat every pet like family! My sister is a new mom to a pug rescue (Ozzy, 1) who is a cuddle bug and ball of fun. He loves his squeaky toys and going on walks or car rides. Ozzy and I quickly created the most special bond and it’s always so heart warming to be his auntie. My friends (near and far) often rely on me to watch their cats and dogs when they go away and love how I send tons of picture updates of their fur babies! I also have stopped by the local animal rescue to give extra love and attention to those that need it. Growing up, I helped care for our two family pets, Yukon (husky, 15) and Kieta (tabby cat, 18), who both lived long, happy lives. My childhood neighbors also owned a farm with tons of animals to hangout with. I have been around animals for as long as I remember and it always brings so much joy and purpose into my life! My WFH schedule is currently very flexible so I can easily be called on to come to your pets needs, whether it’s for a walk, playtime, mealtime, or a routine check in! I see pets as fur babies with individual personality types and needs. I carefully read and follow instructions and won’t do anything I’m not asked. I am attentive to their feeding/potty schedule and make sure the environment is pet friendly. I will happily send text, photo, or FaceTime updates and ask any questions as needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
