I’m also comfortable with senior pups and making sure they get extra patience, slower walks, or medications if needed but I will need to learn how to administer your pup’s medication. I usually plan my classes and responsibilities earlier in the day, so afternoons are open for walks, drop-ins, feedings, and playtime. It works out great because I can give pets my full attention without feeling rushed, and I’m able to stay consistent with their schedule. About: I grew up with dogs as a kid. As an adult I’ve owned 2 dogs for a total of 4 years. The first I had for 3 years and had gotten him from a friend due to PCS. My current is a GSD that I got as an 8 week puppy who is currently over a year old that I trained myself. I currently work about 6-8 hours a day but have a short commute to work so if needed, I am able to check in on pets on a more frequent basis. I take my dog outdoors pretty frequently since he’s high energy whether it be on walks or for play in the yard. At least once a week, I take him somewhere public to work on his socialization and training with distractions. We train pretty frequently as well and have to say he does pretty well so if you’d like, I can assist in anything you’re trying to train. Disclaimer though, I’m not a professional trainer, only dogs I’ve trained are the ones I’ve owned. I live in a house with a pretty large fenced yard. I’m a big advocate for dogs getting activity, whether that’s physical like a walk or play outside or if it’s any kind of mental stimulation. My dog is crate trained and stays in his crate while I am not at home. I would prefer the same of your pet to ensure safety of your fur baby while I am away. Once I’m home, I allow my dog to free roam the house and will do the same for yours. My dog has been around several dogs and cats and is very friendly, social and playful, however, if needed, I have the ability to separate animals that don’t get along to ensure their safety. I work part time at a grocery store. I mainly work nights so I get off anywhere between 9 and 11pm. So when trying to schedule check ins I would recommend scheduling the first check in later in the morning so there is less time in between each check in. Before services start I would ask for the basic run down on your home and where all of your pets belongings are stored and what I would need for them (food, toys, treats, leashes). I may also ask for current medications or allergies and their vet numbers just in case of emergency. I will make sure to follow their schedules as closely as possible to make sure your pet is as comfortable as they can be!
