“Brittany was awesome for us and our two pups (one of whom is a bit slow to warm up to new people). Brittany was able to take care of our dogs exactly how they’re used to and was very communicative with us while we were away with messages and pictures! She even toughed out a big snowfall and made sure our pups were all set throughout it. Brittany treated our home with great respect and left things very neat, clean, and tidy. We will definitely be calling her when we need a sitter next!”

“John is awesome! My dog Bruno bonded with him immediately and he took great care of him, sending pics and updates every day. And I have to add…when I returned home, my house looked like no one had been there! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!”

“We were super anxious about leaving our dog and home but Liz made the experience as stress free as possible. We felt comfortable with here the moment she met us and Gizmo! She kept us updated with pictures of our dog and how he was doing throughout the day. I would recommend Liz to any one needing a house/pet sitter. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Thank you Liz. You rock!”

“Sarah is so wonderful! She truly loves our pets and takes such great care of them! She is very responsive and super flexible. We will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Chloe did a great job watching my dog. He was fine at first but later got a little defensive and uneasy. She handled it really well, figured out how to work with him, and kept him comfortable. I really appreciated the frequent photo updates and check-ins they gave me peace of mind while I was away. I’d definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a patient and reliable sitter”

“Catherine was wonderful with our two dogs while we were away. They seemed warm right up to her and loved having her here in our home. She kept in touch and sent photos ( and videos)! for us to see. She also did a few other house sitting chores ( mail, trash cans etc) I asked her to do without any issues. I will definitely be calling on her again next time we are in need of someone to stay with our pups :)”

“Kenzie took good care of my dog and cat while I was out of town on a trip. There were a lot of trip ups - my dog got hospitalized before our trip and I had an awful flight delay at the end of the trip. Kenzie came back out to take care of my two when I wasn’t going to make it back for a while. I appreciated everything she did to help me!”

“Riley did a wonderful job! Dory loved her & she was so responsive to his needs. Dory is very scared of thunder storms and Riley helped him through it. She also sent pictures to keep us updated.”

“Jacob is the best dog sitter I have ever had. Bailey loved him and took to him right away. My boy is diabetic and has some health issues and I have a hard time leaving him with people, but not anymore. I will be planning my schedule around Jacob’s schedule from now on. He came on his own time to meet with us to observe our routine. He checked in with me regularly, sent me pictures, disrupted his own schedule to take extra care of Bailey. I trust him completely with my precious boy. On a personal note, Jacob is super friendly, gentle, kind, and a trustworthy soul, easy to talk to, so comfortable to be around. I can’t praise him enough. He is truly a blessing and a dog whisperer.”

“Chan was extremely communicative. My male husky loved him from the beginning. He was very gentle with my skittish female husky. He even tried helping her do things that she is afraid of doing. He sent me videos while I was gone. I was on my trip fully confident that my dogs were in good hands. He did an excellent job. Chan is also very friendly and extremely kind.”

“Lovely dog sitter! I just adopted a puppy (my first dog and pet) and she was there immediately to help. As I am sure many people around here are active duty, and she’s been very helpful and flexible checking in on my puppy throughout the day. She’s even helped out teach my puppy basic commands, would highly recommend.”

“We are very pleased with the care Alexis gave our dog and our home. We were away for two weeks and during that time she communicated with us several times (which we managed with a 6 hour time difference!) including photos of our dog. She followed our directions to a T regarding our pet and our house. We returned to a tidy home and happy dog. Knowing he was comfortable, cared for, and stress free in our home added that extra bit of ease to our vacation. We highly recommend Alexis for petsitting and hope to hire her again in the future.”

Kierstynn was nothing but amazing to our animals. She stayed in our home and everything was smooth from start to finish. She kept us updated throughout her stay and treated our home with respect. She gave us so much peace of mind knowing she was there caring for our animals and our home. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy pet sitter!

Sarah never disappoints, I feel comfortable traveling knowing that my fur baby is taken care of . The house is always pristine when i return, along with my boy happily cares for. Sarah is a life saver when my flight got delayed she was able to stay longer alleviating my stress. 💯 recommend

I can’t speak highly enough on how wonderful Payton is! She took such great care of our baby girl. She communicated the entire time, gave constant updates and lots of pics! I could see how comfortable, safe and loved our dog was. She is an amazing care giver and would definitely use her again!

Fabulous sitter for my four fur babies. She was keenly in tune with their stress levels, provided ample walks, and handled an unexpected encounter with two aggressive dogs with professionalism. She kept calm, de-escalated the incident, assessed all dogs for injuries (luckily, no one was injured), and provided care and comfort to help my two dogs de-stress. I highly recommend Andie to provide care to your fur babies. I will be using her services often.

Ceasar is fantastic! He is genuine and reliable and just a really great person. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him and will absolutely be having him stay with Furnando again. It’s great to feel free to travel and know that your pet and your home are well cared for. My dog doesn’t like just anyone but he really took to Ceasar, probably because of his calm and kind manner with him. Always a pleasure to rebooking with Ceasar.
I can’t say enough great things about Natasha and the care she provided for Ponyo and Tarot while I was away. She stayed in my home and treated it—and my pets—with the utmost respect and love. From the moment we met, I felt completely at ease leaving everything in their hands. Ponyo and Tarot were clearly well cared for, happy, and relaxed when I returned. Natasha followed all care instructions perfectly and took extra time to make sure both girls got plenty of attention, affection, and playtime. The regular updates and photos were such a thoughtful touch and made being away so much easier. On top of taking excellent care of my pets, she left my home spotless!! honestly, it may have been cleaner than when I left! It’s clear she takes a lot of pride in her work and genuinely cares about the animals (and homes) they look after. Highly, highly recommend—Ponyo, Tarot, and I are so lucky to have found Natasha and on such short notice!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Midway Park on Rover is $33.77 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Midway Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Midway Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Midway Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 93% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
