“I was hesitant about having someone sit with our dogs while we went out of town but decided to have Nahomy do 3x a day visits and we were very pleased with her services. We were able to relax and trust that our dogs were being well cared for. She came and met everyone beforehand which I found reassuring. She is reliable, fairly priced, and gave both of our dogs lots of love and attention. She also brought in packages and fed our fish! We will definitely utilize her services again.”

“Angel did a great job taking care of our 2 cats over 6 days during thanksgiving. She did everything we asked and more, she was communicative about the kitties, sending photos of them and updates, and was proactive in noticing if anything was off or needed to be cleaned up. 10/10 would recommend.”

“Sara did a great job on a drop in visit for my girl! She was very quick to respond and accommodating as my apartment is not the easiest to get into! I will absolutely be booking with Sara again!”

“I’m really glad I had Cutrina as my cat sitter while I was on my long trip. It was my first time leaving my two fluffy babies for more than a month, so I was super anxious, but she made everything so much easier. She followed all of my instructions, kept me updated, and even let me know about the tiniest behavior changes she noticed. My cats are not very social with strangers, but they slowly warmed up to her, and the cute photos she sent honestly helped me relax so much. Her communication was great, and she always let me know if anything was running late or needed attention. I’d definitely book with her again whenever I need someone to look after my babies in the future”

“Tara is great. She has taken care of our pets twice and we will always try to get her. She communicates very well and we know our pets are being taken care of. I highly recommend her.”

“Denyse did an amazing job taking care of my cat and home while I was away for just under 2 weeks. Went above and beyond with extra needs like coming back for a package that got delivered on a rainy day. This was also during the holidays and she is very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend her to anyone needing a sitter. Got pictures and updates with every visit of a happy fur baby”

“Kim asked the right questions to make sure she understood my dogs' needs. She sent photos when she went to my house and returned my house key promptly. A very pleasant first experience with Rover!”

“Second time havimg him take care of my furry friends. This time for drop in visits. They were super happy and well taken care of when I got home. Highly recommend and will use again.”

“Jesslyn took fantastic care of our pupper, kept us well updated, and is a pleasure to rely on for taking care of our dog! Highly recommend this young woman, and we’ve already booked her again for our next trip.”

Paige did a phenomenal job with my two dogs! She not only fed them and gave them food and water, but she spent time with them each time! She gave me updates when needed and always sent me pictures! Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
