“Tasha provided amazing care for my dog, Baby while I was away on business travel. She took note of all of my instructions and followed them. But most importantly, she bonded with Baby and he was comfortable with her. Also, Tasha made herself available for a very last minute unscheduled visit for me due to my flight being delayed. I will definitely have Tasha care for Baby again and I highly recommend her to others. She genuinely loves pets and she is trustworthy.”
“Very good and trustworthy took very good care of My estrella and communicated very well with me! Would definitely be booking again in the near future if needed! Super sweet and patient”

“Tara is absolutely wonderful. My kitty is a bit skiddish and he took to her on the 1st visit. She went above and beyond by helping me with trash I forgot to take out and handled it! I will definitely rebook her!”

“Angel took great care of our cats, was very communicative, and went above and beyond the care instructions we left! She was very kind throughout our messaging and did great loving our cats in our absence! We’d definitely recommend and would love to book her again!”

About: I grew up with all kinds of animals, from dogs, cats, rabbits, birds you name it we had them. Me having a strong love for animals was bound to happen. I have worked and volunteered at a animal rescue so I do have some experience working with animals professionally.😊 I work only 3 days a week taking care of people but I also lovee animals and I would love to take care of animals too on my off days or after work😊 I am an active person so going on a run or stroll with your fur baby would be great for me. If your fur baby is more on the snuggle and relax side I am also totally on board with that as well! I will always keep close eye on you dog/cat when they are in my care and make sure they feel comfortable in the environment they are in!
“So thankful to Jenn for watching our babies while we were out of town for the weekend. She gave me daily updates, full of details and pictures of how they were doing. Definitely recommend her, and look forward to having her watch our babies again! Thank you! ❤️”

Angel took great care of our cats, was very communicative, and went above and beyond the care instructions we left! She was very kind throughout our messaging and did great loving our cats in our absence! We’d definitely recommend and would love to book her again!

Miranda was prompt with communication and took care of our cat well after an initial delay from a conflict. Water bowl was dirty and litter box very full upon return but he was visited and fed well. Overall she helped Mike with his anxiety of the new person in the house and as a first time Rover user I was grateful.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
