“Nahomy was amazing! While we went out of town she dropped in 2 times a day to check in on my babies (3 yorkies) I had very specific instructions for each dog and she followed through with everything. I couldn’t be more pleased with the care she provided to my girls. And that’s saying a lot I don’t trust anyone with my fur babies not even my own children unsupervised lol I will for sure be using Nahomy in the future and recommend her to anyone needing an awesome pet sitter!”

“Tara was great with my two pups and kitty. You could tell right away that they were all going to like Tara. My dogs are not at all use to staying home when I go out of town, so I was a bit worried about how they would act, but Tara came by and loved on them twice a day and they survived my four days away (probably better than I did!). Highly recommend Tara to care for your pets.”

“Angel did a great job taking care of our 2 cats over 6 days during thanksgiving. She did everything we asked and more, she was communicative about the kitties, sending photos of them and updates, and was proactive in noticing if anything was off or needed to be cleaned up. 10/10 would recommend.”

“Tasha is absolutely amazing! This is the first time I have used Rover. She followed all of my directions in regards to caring for my kitty cat. She kept me in the loop the entire time I was out of town, she provided pictures and very detailed report each time she dropped in. My cat was very happy when I returned home. I will definitely book her again!”

“Sara was wonderful watching my cats while I was away. She was very attentive and detailed in her updates and my babies loved her!! Definitely book her if you want someone you know is gonna take good care of your pets while you are away”

“Kimberly was great with my cat. We had her coming in twice a day to do meds and feed our little diva and she was right on schedule everyday with pictures and check-ins. This is by FAR the better alternative to keeping my old lady locked up in a tiny cage for a week or two while we are gone. Never boarding our cat again! Thanks Kimberly!”

“Very friendly and leaves very detailed check in information and lots of photos. Responds quickly and also professional. I would highly recommend Laresa and will most definitely use her services again! Thanks again for taking care of my cats!”

“Diamond went above and beyond with our pup. She was able to teach him a few tricks that not even I was able to accomplish! And she did it in the first visit! She’s awesome. We will book her again and again.”

I make sure each pet gets the attention and care they need while keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their normal routine as closely as possible so their pets feel comfortable and secure. I also respect the owner’s home, keep everything clean, and send regular updates and photos so they know their pets are safe and happy while they’re away.
“So thankful to Jenn for watching our babies while we were out of town for the weekend. She gave me daily updates, full of details and pictures of how they were doing. Definitely recommend her, and look forward to having her watch our babies again! Thank you! ❤️”

Angel took great care of our cats, was very communicative, and went above and beyond the care instructions we left! She was very kind throughout our messaging and did great loving our cats in our absence! We’d definitely recommend and would love to book her again!

Miranda was prompt with communication and took care of our cat well after an initial delay from a conflict. Water bowl was dirty and litter box very full upon return but he was visited and fed well. Overall she helped Mike with his anxiety of the new person in the house and as a first time Rover user I was grateful.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
