About: I’m a special education teacher looking to earn extra money. I can help you on a busy day or while on vacation by taking great care of your fur baby. I have 3 cats and have been around animals my whole life. I can help with pets after 4pm, on weekends, and any time during school breaks. I’m close to most places in the tri-cities and have reliable transportation. I love going for walks with dogs, playing catch, snuggling cats, making sure they eat, and help them feel safe and happy while you are away. I’m great at communication and will keep you updated if you want reassurance things are going well while you are gone.

About: I have always been my family and friends go-to dog sitter. I have one family members who only trusts me with her dog. Our previous dog was a special needs senior dog who I had to administer medication to 3 times a day. We currently have a 2 yo puppy named Lana who is very playful and loving I am a Realtor so my schedule is very flexible. Leash & Walk Safety: On walks, I ensure pets do not pick up items from the ground. I also clean their paws after every outing, just as I do with my own pets. Hygiene & Health: If your pet gets dirty, I will provide a bath with your permission. Any medical concerns will be addressed immediately, and I am trained in emergency pet first aid, excluding surgical procedures. Home Security: I will ensure all doors and windows are securely locked when leaving your home. Privacy & Updates: I will only take photos of your pet for your updates and will never photograph your home without permission. Supervision & Outdoor Time: Pets in my care will never be left alone in a vehicle or outside unattended, even in my fenced yard. Cats will remain indoors unless they are harness-trained and you request outdoor time. Stranger Interaction: While on walks, your pet will not interact with strangers or other animals unless pre-approved for socialization. Pet Care in My Home Pets in my home receive dedicated supervision unless prior arrangements are made: Dogs: If a dog is staying with me and needs to be left alone for an extended period, I require a crate for their safety and comfort. However, my schedule is highly flexible, minimizing the time they are left alone. Cats: Cats may be left unsupervised in a designated, pet-safe room with regular check-ins. Handling Aggressive or Special Needs Pets I have extensive experience with fearful, reactive, and aggressive pets, but clear and honest communication is essential: Cats: I am comfortable handling feral or aggressive cats and will take the necessary time to build trust. I can administer medication as needed, but I require full transparency about their behavior to ensure safety for all. Dogs: I can accommodate dogs with minor behavioral challenges, such as leash reactivity or mild anxiety. However, for safety reasons, I cannot accept: Dogs over 50 lbs who are not at least moderately leash-trained. Dogs requiring a muzzle or choke collar in public settings. Dogs with severe aggression or unpredictable behavior. Double-Booking Policy For the safety and well-being of all pets, I do not double-book boarding, daycare, or walks unless all parties have given consent and a meet-and-greet has taken place. If multiple dogs are staying in my home at the same time, a meet-and-greet is required. Even if the dogs get along, they will not be left alone together unless securely crated. Cats and dogs boarding in my home simultaneously will be kept in separate areas with no contact.

I have lots of free time, and I like to stay active. I love animals and enjoy being able to stay active with them. I am passionate about animal safety and welfare. In Michigan's non-sub zero weather, I love walking my dog and cats - in their stroller - to ensure they all get daily exercise, fresh air, and stimulation. My pets are my family, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I have two cats, Ginger & Lucy, and a dog named Purdy. Ginger & Lucy are indoor cats, and I have a stroller that they love to ride in on walks. My dog loves her walks in the park, woods, and playing at the dog park (when there are very few to no other dogs there. My dog is dog & cat friendly, although she is young and sometimes likes to play too rough for the kitties. We handle this with baby gates and bridges so the cats can still move around the house with ease.
