“Jolynn was very accommodating when my regular kennel was full; and I had to go to the hospital. She took pictures of my dog and provided me with regular updates. He was happy and active at her house and got along well with her pets and family. I plan to use her again.”

About: I have been around animals my entire life. I grew up on a farm with two dogs as a child and have had many different-sized animals since. Im currently laid off work while recovering from a shoulder surgery so I have open availability and my shoulder is healed so I have no restrictions on walks or animal size I own a fenced-in lot next to my house for outside time. I have one super friendly dog who loves it out there and a room with a door so I don't have to use a crate inside.
“Jackie was amazing! She offered a meet and greet before hand which made me feel at ease the day I had to drop my 'puppies' off for a week. She sent me updates and made them feel right at home. I can not thank Jackie enough! I am so happy to have found my new dog sitter and a friend! :)”

“Brittany provided EXCELLENT care for my Chica! She sent plenty of updates and photos so that I was able to truly relax on my vacation. I would recommend her services to everyone and definitely would like to rebook with her. She is a gem!”

“Linda was wonderful with Jonas! I received daily updates and she spoiled him with homemade treats, cuddles, and lots of walks. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter!”
“Rachel did an amazing job with our dog. She kept us updated with how Louie was doing and sent us lots of pictures, which was great to see how he was doing. I really believe Louie enjoyed himself with Rachel and her family.”

“Haley hosted our 10yo golden retriever in her home for 5 days. They have an excellent fenced in backyard and two kiddos to keep pups busy! Haley also did home visits for our cat, who needs insulin shots with his food. She came over once before our vacation to see how to care for our cat and we returned to a healthy and happy feline! The daily photos we got were such a reassurance that our pets were in great hands. We definitely will use Haley again for our future trips. Easy to communicate and coordinate with!”

“6 stars would be an appropriate rating. Stephanie was flexible with my ever changing schedule. She kept me updated on my fur babies stay with daily picture. It was obvious dogs were expertly cared for and completely comfortable staying with Stephanie. Please don’t steal my dogs favorite sitter!”

“Brittany was super sweet to our doggy. Always communicating with us, sending us photos, and keeping us updated. We are so grateful that Luca could stay with her, happy and safe while we were a part of a wedding this weekend. We are so happy and highly recommend her to take care of your pups.”

“This is the second time Rachel has taken care of our two dogs. She and her girls love our dogs like they are their own. When we picked up Coco and Pebbles, they were happy and well taken care of. We will recommend and use Rachel’s services again.”

“Jessie and family are the best! Mya gets excited to be there before i can get her out of the car- Thank you so much for taking her- you know she will be back to play with you all!”

“I strongly recommend Alisha! She was always in touch and sending me updates of my pups. With her fenced yard my dogs were able to enjoy outdoor play and even made new friends with the neighbor's dogs. The onboarding went smooth and the pick up as well. I always felt my dogs were well taken care of, not with a stranger but with "grandma".”

“Taylor and family are always such a blessing for us! I know I can always leave our fur baby with them and feel 100% confident that she is in great hands! Taylor provides continuous updates and pictures throughout our pet’s stay giving us constant peace of mind :)”

About: I've had and helped care for many different animals since I was a child including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, chinchillas, and chickens. We have 2 little boys in our home as well as a laid back newfoundland dog and 2 cats. Can administer medicine if needed and will try every trick in the book if needed to make it happen. I work part time from home so I will be home almost 24/7 besides the occasional errands. Animals can be with me as much as they would like. Dogs can be taken out and walked as often as needed. Animals can be allowed the run of the house or we also have a seperate downstairs area when some alone time is preferred or needed. Cats can be enclosed in a large quiet room with a tall gate if they prefer with seperate litter box. Crates are available for use upon request.
“Teryn was absolutely wonderful! We were nervous having a stranger watch my pups, but Teryn put our fears to ease after meeting her. She also sent updates with pictures through out their stay, and my pups came home very happy. Teryn will be our first choice to pet sit in the future.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
