“If you want to treat your dog for the spa / vacation while you are gone , do not look any other place ! They are so amazing and lovely . Zoe is also a sweetheart 😍My dog fell in love with both of them instantly! I can not explain how wonderful and lovely they both are . Will definitely bring my dog back”

“Best decision I ever made to book not only through Rover but with Mayrannie. She was absolutely wonderful sent me pictures and updates on how he was adjusting everyday. She was so so sweet to my boy!! I know he had a great time there because when I picked him up he was so happy and he was so exhausted from playing with her dogs. He's been passed out since we brought him home. We will definitely bring him there again. Thank you so much for everything we were able to enjoy our vacation with no worries knowing he was happy and being taken good care of.”

About: I've had and helped care for many different animals since I was a child including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, chinchillas, and chickens. We have 2 little boys in our home as well as a laid back newfoundland dog and 2 cats. Can administer medicine if needed and will try every trick in the book if needed to make it happen. I work part time from home so I will be home almost 24/7 besides the occasional errands. Animals can be with me as much as they would like. Dogs can be taken out and walked as often as needed. Animals can be allowed the run of the house or we also have a seperate downstairs area when some alone time is preferred or needed. Cats can be enclosed in a large quiet room with a tall gate if they prefer with seperate litter box. Crates are available for use upon request.
“Holly is not only very nice but a very caring caretaker for your fur children! Excellent communication and wonderful picture follow up while you are away. Highly recommend Holly and she gives you peace that they are in excellent hands. Our dogs love her yard with plenty of nature to safely explore. Wonderful caretaker. Can’t say enough great things about her!”

“Brenda is awesome. We were hesitant to leave our Millie for so long but Brenda made us feel comfortable right away. She and her hubby took great care of her. Millie gets along well with her dog, too.”

“Amanda was great at taking care of Hope. Communication was awesome, keeping me updated with photos and videos and she always responded super quick. I would definitely recommend her!”

“Jenna did a wonderful job taking care of my Standard Poodle. After our meet and greet where I met Jenna, her husband and 2 dogs I felt they were an attentive and dog loving and dog centered family. I really appreciated their fenced yard and their flexibility and understanding that my dog was not perfectly trained, she still jumps and does not go for walks calmly. It was clear that Jenna's family was going to provide the same loving attention and lots of activity (playing with their dogs) my dog receives at home. Jenna was responsive when we communicated, she would answer within a few minutes. She sent pictures and updates. I could not have asked for a better sitter for my dog and I will definitely use them again in the future. My dog was happy and well cared for by Jenna!”

“Annmarie did a phenomenal job with my dog Xena! Her dogs were very friendly, and got along great. I came with very short notice, and she was very attentive, flexible and and communicative, and I'd 100% go back to her in the future. Extremely happy with my experience!”

“Anthony was absolutely incredible. He sent us 2-3 pictures everyday and videos - it really made us feel better than any other dog hotel service since Anthony would let us know how our husky Arya was doing. He is absolutely incredible with his communication and his big, open yard gave Arya the space she absolutely craves. Anthony also had a other dogs at his place while our Husky was there (for 11 days) and she loved it. Anthony sent us updates about which dogs Arya got along well with and even pictures of them playing together, if Anthony is available, I will be booking him for all of Aryan’s future stays when we’re not in town.”
“Karen was simply amazing. She took wonderful care of our dog, Daisy. And we would absolutely have her watch Daisy again. Karen offered Daisy healthy treats throughout her stay (after making sure it was okay with us). She sent pictures and updates everyday. Daisy was often cozy, comfortable, and snuggled up. Overall, it was obvious to us that Karen is a real animal lover. We are so grateful to have found her.”

“We would definitely recommend! I really appreciated the communication we received during booking and later the communication + photos we received during Charlie’s overnight stay. It helped us feel reassured he was in good hands. In all the pics he seemed like he was having a great time. Drop off and pick up was also very smooth. I’ll definitely book again in the future when we need help with dog sitting.”

“She was absolutely amazing! I’m so happy to have someone like her in the neighborhood. She sent me lots of photos and videos, which gave me such peace of mind while I was away. Seeing how relaxed and happy my dog looked, I could tell she treated her like family. I would definitely love to ask her again next time!”

“Marty and her family were wonderful ...so much so I was a little worried that Delaney wouldn't want to come home :) Marty sent pictures and videos during the 10 days we were out of town and I was able to enjoy our vacation knowing my fur baby was in such good hands! ”

“Jen was amazing!! I was super comfortable with leaving Charlie in her care. She sent pics and updates which is so comforting when you have to leave your fur baby in the care of someone else. I would 100% book her again!”

“We had a wonderful boarding experience with Lia and Jonathan when Orla stayed overnight at their home. From the moment we dropped her off, we felt completely comfortable leaving her in their care. They did an amazing job keeping us updated on how Orla was adjusting, sending photos and videos that really reassured us she was happy and settling in well. It was clear that they genuinely care about the dogs they host and treat them like part of the family. One thing that especially touched us was how gentle and sweet Orla was with their 18-month-old son. It was so heartwarming to see their son completely fall in love with her, and it showed how calm and well-handled the environment in their home is. We are very grateful for the care and attention they gave Orla and would absolutely trust them with her again. Highly recommend Lia and Jonathan to anyone looking for a loving, attentive place for their dog to stay.”

“Coryn was great! She went out of her way to meet with Milagro, and even do a group walk beforehand, to get her comfortable with the transition. She was very accommodating on drop off/pick up as well. Milagro enjoyed her stay very much (especially the trip to the park). Thanks Coryn.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
