“Krysia took really great care of our dog for a week during March Break! She sent us pictures and updates daily and treated her like one of her own. We will definitely call her again !”

“My dog had a wonderful time. LaTasha sent updates, was very communicative and professional during my dogs stay. If we ever need a sitter again and she's and available we will definitely book again.”

“Victoria was absolutely amazing with our big boy Cash. She kept us updated daily, introduced him to some new doggy friends and had plenty to keep him busy in her fenced in back yard. I would highly highly recommend Victoria to everyone ❤️”

“If I could give 10 STARS I would!!! Coryn and her husband went above and beyond when caring for my baby Georgie! Georgie was a rescue that we found in a dumpster, he was treated horribly, very emancipated with severe conjunctivitis that required surgery in both eyes! Therefore I am very selective with whom I l eave him with! Coryn was the PERFECT CHOICE! I cannot thank you enough, every picture she sent me. I could tell how comfortable he was, with zero anxiety. He had a wonderful time, which made my vacation stress free, knowing that my baby was being taking excellent care of! Thank you again! ❤️❤️❤️”

“Nicholas was so kind and patient with my 4 month old puppy. I was nervous leaving her for 5 days but Nicholas sent me pictures everyday and kept me updated. My pup bonded instantly with Nicholas’ dog, AJ, who was so careful and patient with her. Would 100% recommend.”

“My pups spent this past weekend with Annette and sweet Ethal. This was their 4th or 5th visit. They love it there as evidenced by them not following me to the door when I went to leave. Thanks Annette I really appreciate you.”
“Sarah was great with our goldendoodle while we went on vacation. She sent picture and video updates everyday. Will definitely be looking to have her watch our dog again.”

“Karen was a wonderful boarder for our 3 year old, high energy “puppy”! We got daily pictures and updates. Her home is clean and dog friendly! Henry had a wonderful time! She even got him to eat during the week which usually doesn’t happen in our absence. We appreciate her care so we could visit family! THANK YOU!”

“Anthony is now for sure one of Maya's favorite uncles. He kept sending us photos of Maya during the whole stay every day, and the more particular thing you can see that all the dogs are having a wonderful time there. He also help us with a skin rash that she had on her belly and making sure she got better. Definetly coming back even just for day care so she can continue to have all that fun with all her furry friends.”

“Very warm and caring sitter. She messaged me with picture, video's and text updates throughout her time with him. That made my family feel even more comfortable with leaving our Leo. Highly recommend!”

“I'm so happy to find you Diane. Diane followed my notes and suggestions to the letter. My Rocky was not stressed out, very calm, and relaxed this evening. I highly recommend Diane's services. Just praying she can always fit my boy into her scheduling. Thank you so much for taking such good care of my boy.”

“I am over the moon on how FANTASTIC my Rover choice of Ana was❣️She sent me daily photos of my Corgi while I was attending my daughter’s wedding in Colorado (I live in Highland, MI)❣️Ana, her mother & sister all took turns being in their home for my Greta Sue❣️Thus, there was ALWAYS someone there to comfort & care for my precious fur baby❣️This was the 1st time I’ve been separated from Greta since I got her 14 months ago! I was pretty worried about how she’d react with complete strangers but she IMMEDIATELY bonded with them❣️It was also a last minute booking (due to my in-laws backing out 🙄) and Thank God that Ana was willing and able to care for Greta for a full week❣️Ana always responded, answered & replied to any & all of my messages/questions super quick 👍🏼🥰❣️I totally recommend Rover.com and my favorite new dog-sitter Ana❣️”

“Wonderful experience with Alia & Ian. Nugget came back happy and relaxed. Great communication and genuine care. She’s already looking forward to her next visit!”

“I cannot thank Margaret and Tony enough for taking such wonderful care of our Kaia. Not only did Margaret help us last minute but she had the best time with them. She took her on a 4 miles walk every morning and she spent her days exploring their yard and hanging by the pool. We truly appreciate everything and hope that we can have Kaia come stay with you again. With our busy sports schedule it was so wonderful knowing Kaia was with a family who treated her like their own.”

“Always a wonderful experience for our Bailey! She always enjoys her time with Elaine, and we love the pictures she sends us so we have peace of mind being away from her.”

“We were so grateful to have found Andrew for my two girls. He & his wife took excellent care of them. Putting them on leashes when they went out. Walking them as well as following medication guide. We felt they were loved & well cared for.”

A+. As good as I could have asked for. Rachel was kind enough to see me and my 2-year-old German Shepherd for a quick meet and greet prior to her boarding for a long weekend. We played fetch for about 15 minutes and she was so sweet with my puppy. It was a huge relief feeling like I could trust her to take care of my girl. Each day I was gone, Rachel would send the cutest pics of my pup playing or out and about doing covering new smells in her large yard. While I never look forward to leaving my pup behind for a trip, in the future I’ll feel a little less guilty knowing she’s staying with someone who’s going to make sure she gets her belly rubs 🙂.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
