“Shannon and her husband were wonderful! From the meet and greet to pickup, they were personable, caring, and trusting. They sent several pictures throughout the day so I felt very confident my pup was well taken cared for. My dog acted like he was at home from the second he entered their house - great sign and good vibes! I would recommend and book their services again.”

“This was a perfect fit for our dog. She was so well cared for! They sent tons of pictures and are very responsive to messages. It's great to have the peace of mind that your dog is taken care of while you are away!”

“Brittany was wonderful! She kept me informed daily, took pictures of the puppy Buddy. He always looked happy. And we did a meet and greet and she was great. When we picked Buddy up everything went great. We will definitely be back and refer her to everyone!Exceptional service and kindness.”

About: I've taken care of pets of all kinds, and all ages since I was 5 years old. Neighbors, friends, family, have all paid me to watch their animals, all of my life! Guinea pigs, rabbits, dogs, cats, all sorts of animals! I'm currently not working, or working part-time sometimes. Therefore, I have all the time available to care for your furry loved one! I am available most weekends, and most eeek days for my home- or your home pet sitting and playing! I have a fenced in yard, on a quarter acre lot! I also have 2 friendly fur babies to play with yours. I can also crate your dog if you'd prefer.
About: I’ve had cats my whole life and have been taken care of dogs for 2. I have a husky at home and a yorkie. Also have a cat and bearded dragon! I’m currently a graduate student working from home. That means I have a lot of flexibility and time to fill! Taking care of your pet will mean the world to me! I have a fenced yard so they have plenty of space to run around. I have a husky that is about 6 years old, a 2 year old Yorkie, and a 3 year old cat that roam around the house. Although it will be very easy to keep them separate if needed!h
“Brittany was super sweet to our doggy. Always communicating with us, sending us photos, and keeping us updated. We are so grateful that Luca could stay with her, happy and safe while we were a part of a wedding this weekend. We are so happy and highly recommend her to take care of your pups.”

“Laura was the best sitter ever! She sent pictures along with daily updates every day. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Leaving my dog with Laura was the most comfortable I have ever felt with anyone ever. Thank you Laura!”

“Jackie was amazing! She offered a meet and greet before hand which made me feel at ease the day I had to drop my 'puppies' off for a week. She sent me updates and made them feel right at home. I can not thank Jackie enough! I am so happy to have found my new dog sitter and a friend! :)”

“First time we used Rover.com and first time we were away from our dog. I think he had some anxiety but Lyndsey and Justin were great with the whole process.”

“Joni is amazing! The first time I met her she told me she likes the dogs to feel like they’re on vacation too. My dogs had a wonderful time. Everyday I received a picture and video showing me what the dogs were up to. That was especially nice. She managed to get one of my dogs into the pool. And of course she has life jackets for my little dogs. Would highly recommend her.”

“Highly recommend! She took the stress of leaving your dog with strangers away right away. We did an initial meet and greet before confirming the booking. I didnt know what I was doing it was my first using the app and booking a service. She guided me on how to do it and honored the original price which was wrong. I dropped Davenchi off in the evening and I expected I wouldn't hear from Holly until the next day but she started updating me right away. I was able to rest easy the first night because she sent pics and let me know how he was adjusting. Everyday after that I got morning and evening updates with pics and sometimes midday updates if he made new friends or did something special. She even trained him a lil bit for me Hes a 4 month old puppy. Nothing but great things to say. The paw pedicures he received really won me over!”

“Rachel and her family did an amazing job watching Drake while I was out of town! He had a blast, they took the best care of him, she communicated great and sent plenty of pictures while I was away. Highly recommend and I will definitely be booking with her again next time I go out of town!”

“Martha was very personable in our arrangement. She sent several messages to let us know how our Gabbi was doing. We've got a real spoiled dog and she wasn't used to being away, but Martha allowed her to sleep with her to keep her calm. That was much appreciated.”

“Amazing, definitely highly recommend. Our dog and cat are very social and need a lot of attention and they were very happy and comfortable from the start. Very responsive, friendly, provided a lot of updates and pictures. We found our go to for any future need for watching our pets.”

“Winston came home a happy dog! He was well cared for. They loved all of his quirky habits. Having him stay at a place where he was comfortable allowed us to have more fun on our vacation.”

“Silver took amazing care of Buddy. You can tell she really cares about the dogs she boards. She's quick to respond and sent plenty of pictures. We found our new dog sitter ?”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
