Jessica is great with my Australian Shepherd, in the summer she’s taken him on walks in the park and in the winter she’s considerate of the conditions so he doesn’t get hurt! She also always checks his water and gives him some attention which I know my little guy loves! Thank you for taking care of my Aussie, I really appreciate it!

Brandi was fabulous! She knows so much about dogs and their body language. I love that she's taken the time to learn so much about them. I have a difficult deaf dog and Brandi was so patient with her! Definitely recommend her!

Elena S. is wonderful! We just started using Rover for the first time a few weeks ago and I was a little hesitant about hiring someone we didn't know to walk our dog, but we lucked out with Elena. She took time to come and meet us beforehand and was so nice! She walks our dog 3-5 times per week and always sends us photos from their walks. And, most importantly, our dog loves her! It brings a lot of peace of mind to know our dog is in good hands while we're at work.

About: I have been trusted with pet care for friends and family many times over the last few years which have included daily walks, regular feeding, potty breaks, play time, and company! While I'm new to professional pet care, I am familiar with providing reliable care to furry friends. I am currently a full-time student taking online classes this summer, meaning I have plenty of time to hang out with pets! When in-person classes start again in the fall, I am local, so pet care still will not be a problem. I've cared for dogs for family and friends over the years and understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. My experience includes feeding, providing fresh water, letting dogs outside for potty breaks, spending quality time with them, and making sure they get plenty of attention and companionship. I've helped care for my grandpa's two dogs, regularly looked after my boyfriend's family dog, and cared for my aunt and uncle's dog while they traveled by handling the daily routine before and after work. I know every pet has a unique personality and routine, and I'm happy to follow your instructions to help keep them happy and comfortable. I'll treat your pet with the same care and attention I'd give my own.

About: I have had dogs since being a child (grandma had cats) and we consider them family. We love going on walks, playing at the park and being very active!!! Playing frisbee, ball or whatever your pets favorite is. I have experience with big and little dogs as I have a lab and a jack Russell. I have watched a few dogs in the past and would love to get to know you and yours. Please chose me to care for your "child", your family family member, your friendly doggy love! Can't wait to make some new canine friends and their owner! Get in touch soon! I am avaible upon request. I do work part time during the summer making my schedule open up. During the school year, I work full time but have any breaks. I make sure that your pet is comfortable. I ask if your pet can have treats, if so are there specific one? Its important to make everyone comfortable.

About: From a young age, I've had a special bond with dogs. My parents took in neighborhood samoyeds and newfoundlands that had been abandoned by their owners. I grew up with them, trained them, did my best to make sure their home was loving. Since my neighbors knew I was good with large dogs, I frequently dog sat for them. I quickly became an expert in leash technique, engaging play, making sure they were fed right, and just plain being there for them. I don't have any dogs right now (my apartment is way too small) but I know I'll meet that special fluffy guy when I get a bigger place. I'm available nearly all the time, as I'm not currently working and am only doing occasional volunteering in the Bitter Lake/Greenwood/Shoreline area. I have the availability of a tireless assistant! I believe in respecting a dog's boundries while also being very mindful of their needs. From years of experience I've learned to find the proper balance and give the dog the best experience possible.

Kyla came and walked one of our two dogs with me for the last 3 days since I needed a hand wrangling dogs and a toddler for walks. She was a fantastic help and we had great conversation during our walks. Prior to this Kyla did some pet sitting for our cat and was wonderful. We’ll definitely be reaching out again in the future.

About: I have been around animals my entire life. I grew up on a farm with two dogs as a child and have had many different-sized animals since. Im currently laid off work while recovering from a shoulder surgery so I have open availability and my shoulder is healed so I have no restrictions on walks or animal size I own a fenced-in lot next to my house for outside time. I have one super friendly dog who loves it out there and a room with a door so I don't have to use a crate inside.

Daisy suggested to me the other day that Harley is not a huge fan of walking in the dark so I got her a glow-in-the-dark collar and it was a huge success for my dog. It alleviated her anxiety during their walk. So thank you Daisy for being such an amazing dog walker, that you made an observation that helped make my dog more comfortable on her walks. We appreciate it! We also appreciate the detailed reports on her adventures and the cute pictures you take ☺️

About: What sets me apart is my hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I have my own puppy, Mika, and I’ve helped care for her dog parents and their litter of nine puppies, which gave me valuable experience with young dogs and the extra attention they require. I’ve also cared for a doodle named Libby, as well as my foster parents’ dogs, Bella and Brutus. Through these experiences, I’ve become comfortable managing multiple dogs, maintaining routines, providing exercise and enrichment, and making sure each dog receives individual attention and care. As a nanny, I’m naturally patient, attentive, and dependable. I understand that every dog is different, and I take the time to learn their personality, routines, and needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether your dog is energetic and playful or prefers a quieter environment, I’ll care for them as if they were my own. I am on summer break from graduate school until I go back the last week of August. I currently have Tuesdays-Thursdays free and Saturdays and Sundays free! I will follow any sort of special feeding schedule, and I am able to crate dogs of they need to be! I have a dog who likes to try and run out the front door so I have lots of experience making sure dogs like her stay inside and safe! I also have 10+ years of cat experience and stick to strict feeding times and cleaning litter boxes!

  • 91% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
