Loved that she provides a photo of my girl, Hope, and also informed me of her going the bathroom. I will definitely be asking Elena to dog walk again.

Daisy is always flexible and so sweet. She is hilarious with her stories of their adventures on her Rover report. And the pictures she gets to go along with her stories are the best! She’s so good with Harley, especially since she’s a large Great Dane that can be a little reactive to her environment. But Daisy is so amazing and patient with her. They always have fun together!

About: I have been around pets my whole life. I had a beagle that was 2 when I was born so I grew up helping care for her. I have cared for turtles, fish, and a chameleon. Currently, I have a cat that I have raised from birth. I have helped my aunt with her two golden retrievers when she needed someone to take them out during the day and feed them while she was at work or away on vacation. For the past two summers, I have cared for my uncle's 12 year-old chocolate lab when their family is on vacation. She is a senior dog that needs a little more care and consideration. I am a recent high school graduate and my summer is open. I am attending Mott Community College in the fall, so I am also not going away to school. I plan to provide service to the client at their home. I currently live at home, so I can't care for animals at my house.

About: Hi, I'm Camilla, the heart behind Wags and Joy Pet Care.Over the years, I've spent my life surrounded by animals, and turning that love into a profession has been the most natural step in the world. I've been a pet mom to a German Shepherd Dog, two Australian Cattle Dogs and four cats. I loved them all very much, and took very good care of them. I welcome the opportunity to get to know your dog, and shower them with love and affection. I like to walk, to play, and to cuddle. I have experience with senior dogs, and can administer injections and oral treatments. I have passed a Background Check and an Identity Verification. I am certified by the American Red Cross in Cat and Dog First Aid, and carry a pet first aid kit while I care for your dog. I am insured. I'm committed to treating your pup the way I treat my own, like family - from energetic adventurers to gentle seniors, I tailor every visit to who your dog actually is. I'm a full-time pet care provider, which means I'm available 7 days a week, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.. I'm available with one day's notice for established customers for a walk or drop-in visit. For new families, we need to allow a day or two for a complementary "meet and greet," and then if I'm a good fit for your pet, we can schedule walks and visits. I will settle in with your fur baby, and learn the lay of the land in the house and yard if we are at your house. We'll have some treats (if appropriate) and go out for potty, walk, and play. Then we'll rest and cuddle. Then we'll play some more!

About: My name is Ashley. I am a Mother of 2 teenage boys, the wife of a US Soldier, a USMC veteran, and a long time pet mom. I know how difficult it is to leave your pets with a sitter or boarding. It’s hard to tell who will be kind and good with them, while you are away. I have sit for friends and family. I have taken care of dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, reptiles, sheep, goats and horses. I am comfortable with administering medications. I can come meet you and your pets ahead of time. I will send updates and photos throughout your time away. I hope you will allow me to help with your animals! I teach most of the year but I am off work for the Summer. I have an open schedule throughout the day. I can not sleep overnight, but I am ok with early morning care. I make sure to have a fun and playful environment with my pets. They also get a lot of cuddle time with our family. My animals spend a lot of time outside and at the dog park. If your pets need extra attention, extra playtime and extra cuddles, I can handle that too.

About: Charlie sounds like an absolute legend 🐶 He is a 70-pound goldendoodle who is basically the perfect combo of big, goofy, and lovable. Charlie has that shaggy, teddy-bear look that makes people smile before he even does anything. At that size, he’s big enough to think he’s a guard dog… but let’s be honest—he’s more likely guarding snacks and personal space on the couch. Charlie’s the kind of dog who: • Leans his full 70 pounds into you like he’s “just saying hi” • Acts shocked every single time he sees his reflection • Knows exactly when food is involved, even if it’s three rooms away • Somehow takes up the entire couch while still insisting he’s a lap dog Charlie usually has that perfect mix of friendly, smart, and slightly dramatic. He’s great with kids, loves attention from literally everyone, and has mastered the art of looking deeply offended when it’s time for a bath or grooming. Charlie is not just a dog—he’s a full-time family member, part-time comedian, and professional heart-stealer. • I treat every dog like my own. Your dog isn’t just a booking on my calendar—they get genuine care, attention, and affection. • Clear, consistent communication. I send regular updates, photos, and notes so you always know how your dog is doing. • Reliability you can trust. I show up on time, follow instructions closely, and keep routines consistent. • Patient and attentive. I take the time to understand each dog’s personality, energy level, and needs. • Safe, calm environment. Your dog will be cared for in a clean, secure, and stress-free space. • Experience with different personalities. From energetic pups to laid-back seniors, I adjust my care to fit the dog. Teaching gives me a consistent schedule, which allows me to provide reliable, well-timed care for pets. With flexibility in the afternoons, evenings, weekends, and school breaks, I’m able to give pets focused attention and stick closely to their routines. I provide attentive, routine-based care tailored to each pet’s needs. I take time to learn their feeding schedule, walking routine, energy level, and any special instructions so they feel comfortable and secure. In my home: Pets are welcomed into a calm, clean, and safe environment. I maintain their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, playtime, and rest. Dogs receive plenty of exercise, attention, and affection throughout the day—not just quick check-ins. I supervise interactions closely and make sure pets always feel safe and relaxed. In a client’s home: I respect your space and follow your pet’s established routine exactly. I provide walks, feeding, playtime, medication (if needed), and bathroom breaks as instructed. I also make sure your home is left tidy and secure. Regular updates, photos, and notes are sent so you always know how your pet is doing. My goal is always the same—keep pets happy, comfortable, and stress-free while giving owners complete peace of mind.

About: What sets me apart is my hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I have my own puppy, Mika, and I’ve helped care for her dog parents and their litter of nine puppies, which gave me valuable experience with young dogs and the extra attention they require. I’ve also cared for a doodle named Libby, as well as my foster parents’ dogs, Bella and Brutus. Through these experiences, I’ve become comfortable managing multiple dogs, maintaining routines, providing exercise and enrichment, and making sure each dog receives individual attention and care. As a nanny, I’m naturally patient, attentive, and dependable. I understand that every dog is different, and I take the time to learn their personality, routines, and needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether your dog is energetic and playful or prefers a quieter environment, I’ll care for them as if they were my own. I am on summer break from graduate school until I go back the last week of August. I currently have Tuesdays-Thursdays free and Saturdays and Sundays free! I will follow any sort of special feeding schedule, and I am able to crate dogs of they need to be! I have a dog who likes to try and run out the front door so I have lots of experience making sure dogs like her stay inside and safe! I also have 10+ years of cat experience and stick to strict feeding times and cleaning litter boxes!

About: I have over two years of hands-on experience caring for dogs through both a professional doggy daycare setting and pet sitting for families. At the daycare, I work with dogs of all sizes and temperaments in group play, making sure they stayed safe, social, and well cared for. I also have experience working one-on-one with more aggressive or reactive dogs in private play settings, so I understand how to read behavior and handle different personalities with patience and care. I’m not currently working this summer, so I have plenty of flexibility for drop-ins and let-outs throughout the day. I’m currently looking for a part-time job, but i’ll still have consistent availability for pet care. I’m reliable, communicative, and always make sure pets get the attention, potty breaks, and routine they’re used to! I provide care in your home so your pet can stay comfortable in their own space. I follow all instructions you leave for feeding, potty breaks, crates, and routines. I take safety seriously doors locked, leashes secured, and pets supervised during let‑outs. I treat every animal with patience, kindness, and respect, and I always make sure they feel safe and cared for while you’re away.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 1,449 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Atlas. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Atlas. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Atlas.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Atlas. On Rover:

  • 91% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
