“We are repeat customers because I know she makes my dog feel at home when he is there! She updates you with pictures throughout the stay and always seems to give extra attention to each dog somehow. We will continue to use Megan in the future whenever I need to board my dog. She is great!”

“Sarah is great and very knowledgeable. I asked questions and she relieved any concerns I had regarding my pup and him staying with her for the night. My pup did very well, and I plan on having him stay with her whenever I need boarding services.”

About: I am excited to care for your furry companions! One thing that can set me apart from other sitters is I am willing to help you train your dog. I’m not a certified dog trainer but I have worked on place training, crate training with my oldest dog and am now working with my Shiba Inu! I am dedicated to making sure your pet is cared for and has a great stay with me whether it be for a few hours or a whole weekend! I currently work full time so I can only care for your pets on Friday night and on the weekends! I can play, potty train and give your furry friend as much love as possible during Saturday and Sunday. I have a fenced in back yard, two dogs that can help keep your pet occupied. I have some puzzle games and games I’ve made myself like “go find it” where I hide treats and have them dog use their sniffing scents to find little treats. I let my dogs have their very own room to play and have fun in! And when the weather is nice, we call all go to the park and play!
About: Hi! I am new to Rover, but caring for dogs is something my family truly loves. I have a friendly golden retriever named Stanley who absolutely thrives when he has other dogs to play with—so hosting furry friends is a joy for all of us! I work from home most days, which means your pup will get plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. My young kids also love having dogs around and are gentle, playful, and used to being around animals. I also have a cat in our home who is very comfortable around dogs—she and Stanley are great friends—so your pup should be cat-friendly or at least respectful of cats. I have a fully fenced-in yard for safe outdoor playtime, and I treat every dog that stays with us like part of the family. Whether your dog loves to play or just relax, I will make sure they feel comfortable, loved, and right at home. Since I’m just getting started on Rover, I’m excited to build relationships with both pets and their owners and provide a safe, trustworthy environment you can feel confident in. I currently work a hybrid schedule. I am home 2-3 days a week. We do have a fenced in yard and a doggy door. I have a fenced in yard and my animals are our family. They are welcome to lay where they are comfortable and shares the bed with me if needed.

“Left my two dogs with Michelle for a trial overnight prior to a two week trip. They did great! Came home happy and healthy! I have no reservations leaving them with her for two weeks. I know they will be well cared for!”

“Nikki took great care of our two family dogs. She kept us well informed and was supportive of our changing plans. We highly recommend her and will plan to contact her if we return to the area.”

About: I'm 26, work from home, and have a very flexible schedule, so your pet will get lots of attention and care throughout the day. I live alone and genuinely love having animals around. Whether your pet loves long walks at the park, playtime, or just relaxing at home, I'll make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. I work from home, so pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. My flexible schedule allows me to take frequent breaks for walks, playtime, feeding, potty breaks, and lots of attention throughout the day. Whether your pet needs an active day or just someone to keep them company, I'm able to be there for them. I always treat my clients' homes with the same respect I would want for my own. I have experience cleaning homes and caring for the elderly, so I'm comfortable following routines, respecting personal space, and cleaning up any pet messes along the way. In my home, I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment where pets can feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you're away.

About: I am singing up for this mostly to enjoy meeting new dogs! I don't have one of my own because I understand the responsibility. But, I love to help out where I can and I have means to. I understand the importance of stern but loving care, as well as proactive safety measures (always on the look out for unleashed dogs). I grew up with large dogs (and one toy poodle named bear) so I'm comfortable with any breed. I currently have one cat (his name is Cash money) he is a sweetheart, he is mostly inside with the exception of supervised outside time in my fenced in backyard. I work third shift with every other week being a "short week", meaning I'm free during the day time and every other week I only work 20hrs. This gives me a lot of free time! I only plan to take sitting/ caring jobs on my short weeks. I have a fenced in spacious back yard on a quiet street. In the backyard I have a dog house that I currently don't use, and will only be used as a space to be out of the sun. Outside time is supervised. My cat has free roam of my house and I will only accept boarding safe for my cat. I walk/run every morning and would love a buddy! Physical activity and Play are super important and I would like to help where I can.
“Janis did a great job with Remi! I was a bit apprehensive about her two larger dogs with my 27 lb. boy, but she kept things in order and even sent me a video of him hanging out with another dog she was watching. It was comforting to know he was in good hands for the day.”

About: Experience in Shelters, Boarding Kennels, Training Facilities, Grooming Salons and Pet Stores. Certified from Animal Behavior College and took more Animal Behavior classes at Karen Pryor Academy and Unity College. I’m currently working part time while trying to build my business, Moffit Menagerie Pet Services. Please message me for availability and I’ll see what I can do! I care for every pet in a way that suits their individual needs and keeps them safe and happy! Some want to play the whole time, some want to sniff around, and some want snuggles, and I’m prepared to spend our time in whatever way they prefer. At my home, I have a setup that allows me to keep dogs separated as needed.
“Brittany was wonderful! She kept me informed daily, took pictures of the puppy Buddy. He always looked happy. And we did a meet and greet and she was great. When we picked Buddy up everything went great. We will definitely be back and refer her to everyone!Exceptional service and kindness.”

“From the moment we arrived at Jacklyn's place my fur baby was relaxed and happy. Jacklyn is a good communicator. I texted her that we were running a 15 minutes behind to pick Baddoo up and she got back to me right away. I received updates and pictures. It's nice to know that if I want another Frankenmuth getaway that there is a great sitter available!”

Kim was absolutely wonderful with our beagle. She went above & beyond to make him feel at home. He is naturally nervous & anxious but had zero problems staying at her home. He even got along nicely with her dog. I would definitely recommend Kim as a sitter for your fur baby. We’ll be using her again! A+++ 🌟🌟🌟

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
