About: Hi! I’m Rachel, and animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. These days, my family includes my partner, four kids, and what we lovingly call our “mini zoo”: dogs, cats, a bunny, ball pythons, a bearded dragon, mourning geckos, and multiple aquariums full of fish, shrimp, snails, and dwarf crayfish. Caring for such a variety of animals has made me comfortable with everything from energetic puppies to reptiles and aquatic pets. Since joining Rover, I’ve had the opportunity to care for pets with all kinds of unique needs. I’ve worked with raw-fed dogs and cats, chickens, senior pets, anxious pets, and plenty of quirky personalities. Along the way I’ve even found myself handling unexpected adventures like moving fallen tree branches after storms, making small home fixes, collecting fresh raspberries from clients’ gardens, and convincing stubborn geese to cooperate. Every home and every pet has its own story, and I love being someone families can depend on. My experience goes beyond pet sitting. In high school I volunteered regularly at a local animal shelter, gaining hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. I later worked as an assistant dog trainer, where I learned to read canine body language, encourage healthy play, and build trust through calm, confident handling. Whether I’m caring for one pet or an entire household, I believe great pet care is about more than feeding and potty breaks. I pay attention to routines, behavior, enrichment, and the little details that help pets feel safe while you’re away. I also keep an eye on your home, bring in packages, water plants if requested, and communicate with plenty of updates so you can truly relax while you’re gone. For families who enjoy it, my animal-loving family is often part of the fun as long as the pets are okay with their presence. If your pets love people, they’ll have no shortage of affection and enrichment while they’re with us. My goal is simple: to care for your pets the same way I’d want someone to care for mine, with patience, respect, and lots of love. Both my wife and I have worked in food prep and have experience with food allergies in our family so if you have any food allergies in your home, please let us know! We will do our best to make sure we do not add any cross contamination risks to your home. I work as a school bus driver primarily so it leaves my summer & most major holidays pretty open! Between my wife and I, we are almost always available and we can usually fit last minute requests or oddly times requests into our day. I am pretty flexible but my main priority is making sure I am respectful of your space as much as I would want someone to be respectful of mine. Taking photos and communicating heavily with pet parents is top priority for me. If you wish to have less communication, just let me know so I don’t send too many cute pictures of your pets! I know what a big deal it is to leave my pets in the care of someone else and as a result, I take the responsibility very seriously myself. Both my wife and I have worked in food prep and have experience with food allergies in our family so if you have any food allergies in your home, please let us know! We will do our best to make sure we do not add any cross contamination risks to your home. This includes pet allergies (one of ours is allergic to chicken). We have a very large unfenced yard. We do not use any pesticides on our yard to protect the environment and animals of all kinds. 🌎🐝🦋 In the warm months, you’ll see lots of native plants, wildflowers and butterflies in our yard as a result. About: Caring for people and pets comes naturally to me. I worked in nursing for several years before leaving to care for my father full time. Between that and being a mom giving love and care comes easy. Sadly, now my father is no longer in my home. His care was too much for an in home setting, but we still visit and he shows my dogs off to everyone in his building. I find myself with time to spare and I know it's hard to get the minutes is for our 4 legged friends during busy weeks so why not let me take some of the burden from your schedule ? I have 2 dogs of my own, both of which are friendly and love a bit of play time. I am a big believer in fresh air and exercise. Let's get those steps in for your 4 legged family member. Cats are welcome too, we have plenty of treats and love to share. I don't work a regular job, I have recently moved my elderly father to a care facility, and I am taking classes to become a certified dog trainer in the hopes of making this my fulltime gig. I am available for walking and/or drop in visits at a moments notice a lot of the time. So let's get this thing started! For walking: usually I do a meet and greet with pet parents before we actually book services. Just to make sure your furry family member and I are fast friends, and also so you can show me how you care for your pet. I like to keep with the same que words and knowing where the leash and stuff is makes getting out of the house so much easier! I do keep a few different leashes and simple harnesses in my vehicle as well just in case it is ever needed. For drop in visits: I like to pop in with big excitement and spend a few minutes with your pet just simply petting and being social. After all drop ins are usually because a pet is in the home alone for an extended period, so we meet the social need first. Then I like to tackle the need to stuff, like feeding, or medication, or whatever the tasks may be, I finish out the visit with cleaning up any supplies, or food dishes, and a quick bit of play just for fun. Ending with a double check of the pet, the tasks, and bid goodbye, check that I leave the home secure and let you know how things went, then I'm off. For Stays: combination of both those with a rinse and repeat action and some added lounging and cuddle time if applicable. With stays I do walk (assuming it's a dog or more) at least once a day but usually more.

About: I have well over 24 years caring for dogs. I believe a house isn't a home without a dog. We (me and my family) lost our dog, Teddy, about 11/2 years ago. It has been very hard living without him. I still look for him at the door whenever I come home. We are still heartbroken from his passing. Someday we hope to find the courage to love again. Until then we want to love on all the doggies that come to stay and play with us. When your dog is here he/she is part of our family. About: I grew up with several cats and dogs as pets. At one point my parents had three dogs and a cat so I'm definitely used to taking care of several animals at a time. I now have a dog of my own that I absolutely love. I enjoy taking her on walks, chasing her around and playing tug with her. I have done Rover pet sitting for about 5 years now and I will treat your pets like family and care for them as if they were my own. Right now, I can take on drop-ins and walks throughout the day at any time. I can handle boarding at my place as long as your dog is good with other dogs, okay in a duplex setting, and good on walks. I have a fenced backyard to let them out to go potty and play, but will also take them on walks. I only accept one dog at a time since I have a dog of my own. My dog is reactive so we will have to meet to make sure they do okay together for boarding stays. I currently work full time 7:30-4:30 M-F but work remotely so have a flexible schedule. Let me know what you’re needing and I can see if it’ll work in my schedule. I will handle your pets with love and care. When I'm with them, I will give them all of my attention whether that be playing with toys, going on walks, giving them all the pets and belly rubs, or just making sure they eat and go potty. I do have a dog of my own so if you are booking a house sitting service, I will have to do some back and forth to take care of my dog as well or I can bring her along if your pets are good with other dogs. I can generally give potty breaks every 2-4 hours during the work week with my WFH schedule.

About: Born and raised a dog lover! I’ve have 5 dogs throughout my life that I have loved so dearly. I’ve grown up taking care of my friend’s dogs in HS and college. I love to go on walks, so why not bring your pup with me! I unfortunately do not have my own dog at this time with my significant other, but I hope to get one soon!
