About: I've owned and cared for pets for my whole life. As a sitter I emphasize communication with you and cater and adjust my care for each individual pet! I love getting to know your pets so they can get the type of care that they deserve! I'm currently working this fall as a substitute teacher, I'll likely be free most weekdays and can work some weekends if given sufficient notice. Irregular schedule but happy to work with you to find times that work! I believe that the right environment plays a huge role in the happiness and well being of any pet, I strive to maintain a calm, fun, and safe environment for all the pets I care for and will work with each individual person/pet to ensure that is the case!

About: Do you have a pet with special medical needs? I am a veterinary technician that does pet sitting for animals that require more in-depth medical care. I am dependable, knowledgeable, and professional with 25 years of experience in veterinary medicine. I went to school and became a Veterinary Technician at Cosumnes River College. I have worked in hospitals in both Alaska and California. I have also worked in animal shelter, boarding kennels, and pet stores. . I have raised orphaned litters of wild babies such as opossums, and racoons for wildlife rescue centers to be released back into the wild. I have also bottle-raised orphaned litters of puppies and kittens and found them homes for animal rescues. I have 40 years of experience owning many different species including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles (especially bearded dragons, tortoises, turtles and snakes), rats, guinea pigs, mice, ferrets, hermit crabs, fish, tarantulas, horses, goats, chickens and lots of different exotic pets. I will also take care of babies being bottle-fed. I have owned horses for 35 years and can bring experienced, knowledgeable care to your barn while you are away. This includes feeding, exercising, cleaning, and medical care. I work entirely out of my home now, so I am able to devote the full-time care your pet deserves and may medically require. I strive to provide you with the peace of mind that your pet is receiving diligent care and loving attention. I have a cozy, quiet home for a safe, fun, stress-free environment for your pet where they will be treated like one of the family. While staying with me your dog will enjoy daily trips to the beach and for some dogs, the stables. I can also drop by your house and care for your pets and take them on fieldtrips. I provide meticulous attention to diet, medical treatments, exercise, playtime, and your pets comfort, and cleanliness. It is also important to me to spend time together with your pet earning their trust and friendship. I provide you with detailed updates and pictures while you’re away. Whether I am watching your pet at your home or mine your pets will be loved and pampered!

“So happy to have had Drea check in on our kitty while we were away! She was super patient and sweet with our very shy cat, left detailed rover cards and sent wonderful pictures. It was a relief to know our cat was in good hands! We definitely hope to call on her again in the future and would highly recommend her to anyone needing a companion for their furry friend.”

About: I have always had animals as pets in my life. I care for your babies as if they were mine. I am gentle and very caring person. I take pride in my work and would love to meet your pets. I’m retired and have plenty of time available. I recently moved to McKinleyville from Sonoma County, looking to establish myself with new clients in this area. I take care of your pet in your home as you would. I will respect your home and follow care instructions carefully. I look forward to meeting potential clients and I have many personal references from pet sitting clients

About: I have been watching other people’s dogs since I was 10 years old. I grew up in a household that always had a dog, too! I have cared for dogs as big as Bernese mountain dogs and as small as chihuahuas. I have taken all sorts of dogs on walks and am diligent about making sure they get adequate potty breaks and food. I am comfortable with bathing dogs, as well. Playtime is a priority, too (: I am currently working part-time so I am able to work your pet into my schedule quite easily! My schedule does vary day by day, but that is something we can chat more about if you’d like to book me to care for your pet! Generally speaking, I am most available in the afternoons and evenings but can be somewhat flexible. I believe your pets’ safety is of the utmost importance. To maintain their safety I will keep your dog securely on a leash when we go on a walk. I will ensure that your cat or dog does not get out of the house when it is not supposed to be outside. Finally, I will build a good rapport with your beloved pets so that they will trust me, and so you can trust me, too!

About: I'm Lianna and am a lifetime dog owner. I'm a reliable walker/sitter/volunteer who adores animals and can accept jobs at the last minute. I work P/T, which allows for flexibility with your pet's needs. I'm very fit and will leave your pooch pooped and happy :) Living in Mckinleyville, it is easy to service this area and Arcata with my vehicle, even at the last minute. I work part time, so I have flexibility to play with, walk and check in on your creatures. I have accepted very last minute jobs. I have a yard that my two dogs romp around in. There are plenty of toys and walks per day, which keep them happy. Woof!

“I felt very confident leaving my 3 cats with Anne for the weekend. One of my cats is diabetic and requires shots twice a day, and it is nice to find someone who is experienced with injections. I like that she and her son played with my cats and gave them love while I was gone. Would definitely call upon her again!”

“I recommend Debra to you as the very best!! She has been a friend to me, but more importantly, she has been a house-sitter and true pal to my pup, Remy, for several years. She is both responsible and compassionate . Debra is a gem!”
