I’ve raised and trained puppies, cared for elderly pets and everything in between. Large or small, I love them all I am retired so my time is very flexible. About: I am a grounded and compassionate person, who absolutely loves animals! Dogs and cats are my specialty, but have cared for goats , chickens and bunnies! Ive been filling my free time dog/cat walking and house sitting for the last 6 years, and have thoroughly enjoyed each visit. I connect right away with my fury customers and they are always excited to see me. I provided daily walks, plenty of play time, treats for tricks and lots of love . My schedule is usually open and I am able to overnight house sit if needed. I think your furrbaby would be overjoyed to have me as there care giver and friend! My schedule is open at the moment, and im always looking for any chance i can get to play with animals. My calendar is always up to date and my response time is within a couple hours. Animals have special kind of souls, they speak to us without words and unconditionally love us. I try to read what your animal needs and comfort them while you are away. Every animal is different and comes with their own personality, i like to nurture that part of them while helping them feel safe and loved.

About: I have experience with dogs and cats, young and old, easy and "difficult". I am very adept at walking and caring for reactive dogs who can have a hard time with other dogs and/or humans, and do my best to avoid any situations that can trigger reactive behaviors. I'm also happy to help keep up any training routines, I'm pretty proficient in general dog training, but I know it always comes down to the individual dogs for what works best. I often have people remark about their pets who usually don't warm up to new people immediately taking a liking to me! I'm also totally respectful of animals who do need time to get to know new people and always meet them where they're at, so more than welcome to accommodate those who need more introduction time. I've had dogs in the family my whole life, and have lived with many cats as roommates, and I've loved them all. I've done extensive house sitting everywhere from big cities to rural areas, for periods of time as long as two months, caring for animals as well as the house and surrounding property. My schedule is very flexible so I can make sure I have plenty of time to give my full attention to your animal friends, I live in a sweet quiet neighborhood in Arcata near the bottoms that's great for regular walks, and I have a car and am happy to take pups out on more special adventures too! I always check in about what's best for each dog, and can tailor care around what their usual schedule is with walks and feeding, what kinds of play they like best, and any training routines I can help reinforce during our time together. I make sure to take extra care with reactive dogs and avoid any situations that may trigger them as best as possible.

About: I've been raising service dogs for Canine Companions since 2016! I have experience with puppies aged 2 months and up. I've been best friends with a GSD for the past almost 5 years! I'm very patient and understanding with anxious and stressed dogs due to my experience with my pup. I'm currently full availble for the summer, but will be a full time student starting in early August. I've got classes all day Mondays and Wednesdays, and I host studio hours on Saturdays. I'm very comfortable with crating dogs and walking high energy dogs. My dog is a runner and tries to escape, so I'm very familiar with keeping a close eye on dogs that are a little too excited!

“Bailey is truly a gem! She cared for our two reactive, mostly untrained dogs and our cat over a weekend away, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience—especially as first-time Rover users. She walked the dogs daily, sent us regular photo updates, and made us feel so at ease while we were gone. On her second stay, we had some unexpected behavior issues with one of our rescue dogs, who managed to dart out the door (not her fault at all—he’s a handful!). Bailey stayed longer than expected to make sure everything was under control before she left. Her calm, caring presence and quick communication gave us so much peace of mind. About: I've had animals all of my life. My parents kept getting me more animals because they said as long I was taking good care of them, then I could get more. I would keep journals about their well being( Funny, I know) The point is, I love animals. I have had dogs,puppies, cats, lizards, hamsters, chickens, horses, ferrets, and chameleons, I have 2 dogs of my own and they are my children. It's of the utmost importance to me that any animal under my care feels very loved, and taken care of. I know it can be traumatic being away from your animal, and it can create anxiety. I will do my best to make sure your baby is feeling good and happy! I currently make my own schedule and own my own massage therapy business. The further in advance I know about the sitting job, the more of a chance I will have of being able to clear my schedule for it. My schedule is pretty flexible! I will follow the directions you give me to a T. I know our animals get used to routine, so I will do my best not to disrupt that routine. I am hands on, and want to make sure any animal I care for feels loved and paid attention to.

About: I’ve had a few pets throughout my life including dogs, cats, and even a bird at one point! I’ve also watched and looked after my friend’s pets over the years while they were away! I’m currently in my last semester of college and i’m only taking 4 classes! Every day except for Wednesday's i’m done with school at 2pm so I have the whole afternoon to walk, play, and check on your pet! I also have availability on Sundays as well which is a whole day of being able to look after your and care for your pet! I care for pets by making sure they’ve had time to play, make sure they are well fed and stocked up on water, and they have the opportunity to go to the bathroom. On walks I always make sure to be extra careful while walking near busy streets, i’m cautious of other animals and pets and read their body language as well as my clients to ensure everyones safety, and ensure that your pet isn’t getting into anything they aren’t supposed to while on a walk or in the home!
