About: I grew up with and have taken care of dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, birds, horses, reptiles, and amphibians, so I am well acquainted with many types of creatures! I was also a veterinary technician and wildlife caretaker, so am familiar with giving medications, shots, cleaning and grooming, and overall behavior indicators of wellbeing. I have cared for newborn kittens, and senior dogs and cats. Animals have always brought me a lot of joy and I hope to meet your fur baby soon! I currently have a cat and three chickens who I love a lot. So unfortunately, I cannot board any pets at my home. I have a remote job, so am flexible with home stays, walks, feeding schedules, and anything else to keep your friend happy. I always first consider the pets' and my safety. In my own home, I have spent the last 4 years helping my cat overcome her traumatic past through patience and routine. I give her lots of treats and mental stimulation, such as finding new items for her to bat around and sit on. We also have chickens, which have a fully fenced backyard so they can roam. I also love spoiling them with watermelon, apples, and mealworms!

About: I have worked and volunteered in animal care my entire life! I was a Senior Animal Care Lead at an animal rescue where my duties were to be directly in charge of 30+ dogs and cats. I have worked with every kind of pet scenario in many different environments, including: Senior animals, Special-needs pets, Behavioral cases, Medical Emergencies, and many more! If you need a reliable and experienced pet sitter, I am the guy for the job! I currently have a completely open schedule! I've just moved to Arcata from central California and I'm looking to work with pets on the side for some extra money. Making sure your pets are comfortable and safe is my number one priority. I can work with whatever your pet's routine may be whether that is play time, walks, potty breaks, feeding, crate time, etc.

About: I have always loved working around pets. I used to work at the pets hotel doggie day camp in Pet Smart. Having a dog of my own, I know what it takes to properly care for them , clean up after them, and take them outside when needed. What sets me apart is I would go the extra mile if needed of course to really ensure that the dogs I am taking care feel comfortable around me and they are excited when I come to the door to take them out for a walk. I am completely available during the week and weekend, full unbridled availability. walking pets would be great for my exercise along with the physical health of the dog of course (or cat). I had a cat and a dog that I regularly care for daily, I have a set time for feeding the dog and cat at 5PM every day, and of course breakfast at 8 AM before that, and I would make sure to have my dog go out back when needed and to clean up after him, and we also have his usually vet appointments as well. For my cat, we fed him three times a day like my dog and clean his litter box and refill it twice a day.

About: I’ve had a few pets throughout my life including dogs, cats, and even a bird at one point! I’ve also watched and looked after my friend’s pets over the years while they were away! I’m currently in my last semester of college and i’m only taking 4 classes! Every day except for Wednesday's i’m done with school at 2pm so I have the whole afternoon to walk, play, and check on your pet! I also have availability on Sundays as well which is a whole day of being able to look after your and care for your pet! I care for pets by making sure they’ve had time to play, make sure they are well fed and stocked up on water, and they have the opportunity to go to the bathroom. On walks I always make sure to be extra careful while walking near busy streets, i’m cautious of other animals and pets and read their body language as well as my clients to ensure everyones safety, and ensure that your pet isn’t getting into anything they aren’t supposed to while on a walk or in the home!

About: I have been taking care of dogs and cats for the past 15 years and professionally taking care of animals since 2014 in the Sacramento area. I am a full time student with only online classes for the foreseeable future, so my availability is pretty flexible. My other job is where I help students write & edit papers but it is all done virtually. I would be conducting care at your home or neighborhood if walking, since my rental does not allow animals. About: I have experience with dogs and cats, young and old, easy and "difficult". I am very adept at walking and caring for reactive dogs who can have a hard time with other dogs and/or humans, and do my best to avoid any situations that can trigger reactive behaviors. I'm also happy to help keep up any training routines, I'm pretty proficient in general dog training, but I know it always comes down to the individual dogs for what works best. I often have people remark about their pets who usually don't warm up to new people immediately taking a liking to me! I'm also totally respectful of animals who do need time to get to know new people and always meet them where they're at, so more than welcome to accommodate those who need more introduction time. I've had dogs in the family my whole life, and have lived with many cats as roommates, and I've loved them all. I've done extensive house sitting everywhere from big cities to rural areas, for periods of time as long as two months, caring for animals as well as the house and surrounding property. My schedule is very flexible so I can make sure I have plenty of time to give my full attention to your animal friends, I live in a sweet quiet neighborhood in Arcata near the bottoms that's great for regular walks, and I have a car and am happy to take pups out on more special adventures too! I always check in about what's best for each dog, and can tailor care around what their usual schedule is with walks and feeding, what kinds of play they like best, and any training routines I can help reinforce during our time together. I make sure to take extra care with reactive dogs and avoid any situations that may trigger them as best as possible.

About: I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes and ages, as well as animals that take daily medication. I’m very good when it comes to applying the owners needs with consistency and lots of attention for their pets. I babysit part time and I have dog sitting clients outside of Rover as well. My schedule is very flexible and so it’s easier for me to meet new clients and their pets! I always make sure to ask my clients if there’s any additional info that I need to know. I’m a very aware and attentive person, that’s why I keep a good eye on the pets body language and everyday needs. Keeping up with their schedule is another important detail to me.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life. Ever since I was a kid, I was jumping up to wash the dogs, train the dogs, walk the dogs- everything! I’m a full time college student. During the day, I will need to attend class. I also attend Natural Resources club on Saturday mornings. However, I am fully available during the rest of the week! I treat all pets with respect and kindness. I’ve had reactive dogs and extremely friendly dogs, so I’m well versed in any reactions pets may have to me. I can crate dogs, feed dogs, play with dogs, walk them, and even bathe them if needed!

About: I took care of 'Beau', a very large white American Retriever. He is the sweetest! I was temporary mom to Elsie, a huuuuuge Great Dane lady. You can see images of me and Elsie in my profile. I took care of a home and Chester (Tabby Male Kitty), Luna (Black Female Kitty) and their dog sister SnoBella. I watched these 3 for several months while their mama was recovering from illness. You can see images of SnoBella, Chester, Luna and I walking. The kitties loved to walk with SnoBella and me. I am also a plant mom. My own home — which is cared for by my daughter when I'm gone — contains 3 indoor trees and over 10 live plants, as well as a Gardyn indoor garden. I consider my plants also sort of my babies and will take care of yours as well. I work remotely, which allows me to spend much of the day with the pets in my care. Because I'm home throughout the day, I can provide companionship, maintain their normal routine, and keep a close eye on their well-being. Many pets enjoy relaxing nearby while I work, whether that's a cat curled up in my lap or a dog snoozing by my desk. If your pet is allowed outside I sometimes enjoy sitting on the patio and letting them roam the yard while I work. I keep pets on their normal routine as much as possible. My day includes feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning or potty breaks, playtime, walks, and plenty of affection. Since I work remotely, pets often keep me company throughout the day, whether that's a cat in my lap or a dog at my feet. If approved by the pet parent, I'm also happy to let pets sleep with me so they feel safe and comfortable while you're away.
