About: I grew up showing chickens through 4H and riding horses. I have fostered kittens and trained my dog to do agility. i absolutely love bonding with animals and they’ve always been such an important part of who I am. I promise you I will take the best care of your sweet pets! I am in California temporarily for winter time as I am a College student from another state. I am looking to work whenever/as needed! ! When I have pet sit/house sit in the past, I spend a lot of time bonding with the pets and making them feel safe and not alone. I am flexible when it comes to stopping by to check on them or living in to take care of them. I love giving out treats and playing but of course it’s up to you as to what I’d be allowed to do!

About: I have experience with dogs and cats, young and old, easy and "difficult". I am very adept at walking and caring for reactive dogs who can have a hard time with other dogs and/or humans, and do my best to avoid any situations that can trigger reactive behaviors. I'm also happy to help keep up any training routines, I'm pretty proficient in general dog training, but I know it always comes down to the individual dogs for what works best. I often have people remark about their pets who usually don't warm up to new people immediately taking a liking to me! I'm also totally respectful of animals who do need time to get to know new people and always meet them where they're at, so more than welcome to accommodate those who need more introduction time. I've had dogs in the family my whole life, and have lived with many cats as roommates, and I've loved them all. I've done extensive house sitting everywhere from big cities to rural areas, for periods of time as long as two months, caring for animals as well as the house and surrounding property. My schedule is very flexible so I can make sure I have plenty of time to give my full attention to your animal friends, I live in a sweet quiet neighborhood in Arcata near the bottoms that's great for regular walks, and I have a car and am happy to take pups out on more special adventures too! I always check in about what's best for each dog, and can tailor care around what their usual schedule is with walks and feeding, what kinds of play they like best, and any training routines I can help reinforce during our time together. I make sure to take extra care with reactive dogs and avoid any situations that may trigger them as best as possible.

No matter the size your pet is a wolf inside. Excercise, specifically running in formation, and playful socializing helps their mental well being. Dogs experience anxiety and boredom just like we do. Behaviors like excessive licking and barking could be signs that something's up. I grew up taking care of a number of pets, including many dogs and have been employed as a veterinary technician in the past. I foster dogs on and off from our local shelters. I am knowledgeable and compassionate in the care of pets and look forward to meeting yours! I am currently working part time and am available weekends and some weekdays for potty breaks, dog walking, or house sitting! I am active and would love to have some furry company on my walks.
