“Julia is awesome! She cared for our 3 cats, plants, mail, etc. while we were out of town. She sent loads of pics and texts from each visit. Such a pleasure to have her help us out, especially since we recently moved to Angier and didn’t know anyone to care for them. She is completely honest, reliable and has a very warm personality. We will be calling her again.”

“Piper is on time and does a great job making sure my two pups get their mid-day potty break and some sun and some exercise. It’s nice knowing I don’t have to rush home right after work to let them out because they’ve had that time with her.”
“Teresa was very nice, kind, playful, and attentive to our two toy poodles, she even came on a short-notice. She followed every instruction that was given to the very end, and took a lot of photos, and reassured us along the way. An overall great experience, definitely will be using in the future! ♥️”

“Michelle came at the last minute when we had care for our puppy cancel during the workday. She was flexible, kind and did a wonderful job with Finn. Would absolutely have her help again!”

“Kaelyn was AMAZING!! She was flexible to our schedule, was so loving and kind to our two cats, and gave us amazing updates on how they were doing. She made us feel so comfortable knowing our girls were in good hands!”

About: I have experience with dogs of all sizes and am comfortable with all breeds.I work from home full time and have the flexibility for frequent bathroom breaks as needed. I have a small fenced area for ouside time and enjoy walks through the neighborhood when the weather allows. I work from home so I am able to provide care throughout the day without the worry of your pet being left alone for an extended period. On the occasions where I have to leave, pets are free to roam the house or can be crated at the owners request based off the pets comfort level and behavior when left alone. My work schedule allows for flexible breaks for pet care. I have a large back yard and live on a quiet street perfect for walks. I am also able to provide drop in visits throughout the day if caring for the animals in your home.
“Sasha was a great sitter. The photos showing that the cats gave her pets on the first meet tells it all! She was respectful of our home and left everything in order while we were gone. We will book again!”

“Brooke was great. Very punctual and took great care of Oreo. He even came out from under the bed to see her and he doesn’t usually come out for people he hasn’t seen numerous times. Was very happy for that. Would recommend her to others and will def be using her again. Thank you Brooke”

“Samantha did a wonderful job of taking care of James and Sunshine. This was the first time we had left them with a sitter since we adopted them four years ago and I was anxious about leaving them with a sitter. When Samantha came by for the meet and greet, they went right to her and they felt relaxed being around her which relieved my anxiety. I felt comfortable leaving her in charge. Samantha sent pictures to us while we were away. She was on time for each visit. I will definitely call her when we need a sitter in the future.”
“Loren was an amazing pet sitter. She was incredibly communicative, loving, and caring with my dogs. Always punctual, attentive, and truly impossible to improve on. She was consistently willing to help, very service-oriented, and made us feel completely at ease. I highly recommend her and would absolutely trust her again with my pets.”

“Courtney was absolutely amazing. Very professional and sent us pictures and check ins. She made us feel at ease every time she went. We still def use her again and again.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
