“Nikki is amazing! She gave our dog such care, love, and attention! We had such confidence that he was being well cared for. Nikki was always on time, and gave us wonderful pictures of our little boy. We will be using Nikki again whenever we need to! 5 stars+”

“We felt incredibly comfortable with Brooke after the meet and greet. We knew she would treat our pups like her own! Would recommend 10/10 - will absolutely be using her again”

“Elissa is a true professional! She’s organized, has attention to detail, and most importantly reliable. She sent us thorough updates after each drop in visit with pictures that put our minds at ease knowing our babies were in good hands. She went above and beyond by doing stimulation activities with the pups at each visit, brought our mail in, and was willing to adjust our finicky AC throughout the day to meet the dogs needs. Dax and Riley will definitely request her services again!”

“Kayla did a wonderful job taking care of our 5 cats! Her calm demeanor put them at ease and allowed them to approach her feeling comfortable and safe. We could tell from the texts she sent that they were treating her as a new part of their family. She managed the different supplements added to their diets as well as the one who is on daily meds. Kayla's daily photos and texts were reassuring and we knew the cats were being well cared for. I can honestly say that this is the first vacation in several years that we were able to enjoy ourselves and not worry. We could tell when we got home that all 5 had been comfortable in their routine as if we had never left. Thank you, Kayla!!!”
“Loved Carol! She stopped by to take care of our two kitties while we were out of town. She was very helpful and communicative, and we would love to have her watch them next time we’re gone too. Thank you, Carol!”

“Super kind, personable, and responsible young lady. I hired her to do drop-ins while I was out of town for two days. She was FANTASTIC. Always checked in on time, and my dogs LOVE her. She was house and pet sitting next door, and our neighbors are also very happy with her. Highly recommend.”

“Anastasiya took wonderful care of our senior cat. She was responsive to all of my questions. She took care of our. Home as it were hers while we were away. I highly recommend her.”

“Kristina is an angel in disguise. I went into labor and needed someone to watch my little guy at the last minute. She did not hesitate to swoop in and come to my rescue. She provided regular updates on my dogs well being as well as pics of him to reassure me of his health during my hospital stay. When i needed to extend her services, she was able to work with me and was beyond helpful with helping me reintegrate my dog back into my home. I would recommend Kris to any dog lover who appreciates a care giver who treats your 4-legged friend JUST AS if not BETTER than you do. Thanks again Kris. Youre one in a million.”

“Grace was great!! She came by as scheduled and communicated with us daily with pictures and messages! I think by the end of the week she had a couple of new kitty BFFs! We will definitely use her again!!”

About: I’ve grown up my entire life with dogs and have taken care of them for as long as I can remember, they are a blessing! I currently intern twice a week, so other than that I a more than happy to help your furry friends! I take care of my dogs when I am home, so it is nothing new! I have a fenced in yard with plenty of room as well as a safe neighborhood to bring and walk the dogs in, as this is the priority!
“Samantha was great with my fur-family, took time to get to know each one individually and noting their differences in personality and prefs. Clearly an animal lover who treats these gigs as her calling, not just pocket change. As a newbie here, she gave me a great intro to Rover app and the “perks” for communication too. Really looking fwd to utilizing her services!”

About: Our puppy is with us whether we're mountain biking, hiking, camping, hitting softballs for her to fetch, playing ping pong, or doing projects around the house. She's our shadow and we love her. We currently live with four cats and a medium sized mutt and we love them all! We went to get a kitten 2 months ago which would have given us 3 pets, but we ended up with three inseparable siblings. I've personally only trained one puppy but I have a husband at my side that's trained many (many)-a-dog; so I have his experience up my sleeve for training. I'll keep your baby/babies happy until you come home if they require walking, playing, or staying overnight with them. I'm home full-time and we do have a large fenced back yard so staying here IS an option, but if you would like for your baby to stay with us during the day, we'd have to make sure our K-9 kids like each other first. I'm happy and friendly and you should pick me to care for your pup (and, or course, any other animals)!

“Alexis did a great job of caring for our kitties, Nala and Adelaide, while we were away for a week. Although Alexis had never been to our home, she easily followed the provided directions to ensure that our girls had clean litter and fresh water, and that our home was secure. She was very professional in communications as well. We will look forward to hiring her for future trips.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
