About: Hello! My name is Avery ..... I have had dogs all throughout my life and plan to keep it that way! As a kid I grew up with with two beagles, a chocolate lab, a pit bull, and most recently a rescue shar pei/ lab mix. I love seeing every animals personality shine through and spoiling them with love and attention. Each one of my dogs has loved the outdoors (almost as much as me) and had lives full of adventure and exercise. I have also lived with cats and love them (through my previous roommate). I love animals of all breeds and sizes and would love the chance to meet yours! I am a current student so my schedule is semi flexible at the moment. About: I’ve been a groomers assistant and bather at a grooming shop and doggie daycare for a few years in past and I have access to a dog bathing suite for $15 for the use and $25 per dog. Blow drying those furry friends coats out! :) I’ve been dog and house sitting for years and I have had a few dogs of my own. I get excited to see every dog and cat I meet, they really make my day. If you’re out of my walking radius and still would like me to care for your pets you can provide transportation fees then I’d be happy to accept the jobs if I’m available that are last minute when you can’t find someone else. This is my only job, caring for pets now. I have worked for over 30 years and I have found pet sitting to be the best retirement gig for my wellbeing. So I’m available quite a bit. I can walk dogs or do house visits for either cats or dogs. I can help with training if you have rules or something you’d like me to help with for your pets. I can also pick up an item you may need from premier pet shop.

About: I've helped care for family pets in the past, am an attentive cat mama of my own 2 year old cat, and have also previously provided animal care as a personal assistant in Metro Detroit. I've had practice and done a lot of researching to make sure I am a knowledgeable and resourceful caretaker. I work hybrid! When working from home, I can keep my eye on them. And I prepare very well when I know I'm going to be away for a few hours. I understand wanting to make sure animals are tended to, so even if I do have to step out, I time it and try to make sure I'm not gone too long. We will be indoors! If you want your cat to get fresh air outside (aside from being at an open screened window), I have a backpack with a window bubble on it specifically made for small animals, it also opens out into a small structure that'll let them play and stretch their legs a lot more while still not able to roam without supervision! I also have a little tote bag for an animal where they can poke their cute head out. I keep an eye on what they're interacting with to make sure it's nothing that'll harm them as well.

“Joe was great! I booked him to walk Graé several times while I flew to Detroit for an interview. Unfortunately, Graé suffered a dog attack the day before I was set to leave so that added a little more burden on Joe than anticipated. Joe walked, fed and administered Graé's meds in the evening and the morning. To make sure they got along Joe stopped by my place the night before for a meet and greet with my pup. While gone, Joes sent photos and updates to his time with him; I great help! I will definitely be using joe again if the need arises and he's available.”

About: *It’s kitten season! We might have a foster litter in our back room, completely separate hallway with a closed door. If this concerns you, we can adapt and move them* Hello there, My name is Karen / but not 'a Karen,' I swear. I volunteer walking dogs at the local shelter so am comfortable with pretty much all pets (but we do live in an apartment so please see bottom section for ones we cannot care for). We have fostered everything from energetic puppies to FIV+ cats, couch potatoes to zoomie kings-and-queens. Seniors and animals who need lots of affection are our specialties! We have no resident pets. Fosters come and go and will be noted on the top line if current residing. I am not regularly working because of some health issues, so there is a ton of flexibility in my schedule and in our home. If I'm not around, my boyfriend Dave usually is: sometimes he might be the one caring for and walking your pet, or meeting up with you for pick up/drop off. Once in a while, I work 8 hour shifts on weekends, but he is home during that. After doing Rover for a few months, we realized that Dave ends up doing quite a bit! Please know that even though you'll mostly be messaging me through the app, he will play a very big part in the pet-sitting. Between the two of us, your pet will not be alone much at all while boarding. We also have lots of toys, beds, a crate, and snacks, so all you’ll have to bring is food. To me, there is no point in having a pet unless you're going to spoil them. I will do everything possible to make sure your loved one isn't missing you too much. There are a few pets we’re unable to take. Our apartment can be noisy with people outside, neighbors coming in and out, etc…If your dog is nervous and fearful, those noises can exacerbate that in an already strange situation/new place for them. We also want to be respectful of our neighbors so cannot take loud, constant barking. A normal amount is expected : ) I typically do photos and updates once in the evening around 7:00 or 8:00 but can do more or less if you’d like! I tend to be a yapper so try to limit myself to just once haha Generally, I just am very loving to all creatures. I volunteer a lot and am used to many, many kinds of animals. I live in a loft, so that can be confusing sometimes for dogs who are used to going potty in a yard (leashed potty break on a city street and puppy pads are what typically do here), but there is plenty of space to run around in the loft because it is one open space, so playtime is not an issue.
