About: Hi there! I’m Anna, a lifelong animal lover and experienced sitter who knows how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family member. Whether your pup loves long walks, belly rubs, or just cozy naps, I make sure they get all the care, play, and affection they deserve. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities—from energetic puppies to senior sweethearts—and I always tailor my care to each dog’s unique needs. Safety, consistency, and communication are my top priorities, so you’ll always know how your pup is doing with plenty of photo updates and messages. Let’s make sure your dog feels right at home while you’re away! I do currently work full time but spend evenings and weekends at home. They will get plenty of love and affection while in our home. We have two huge dog toy bins for those who love toys! All animals will be treated like they are my own! We have a 6 foot wooden privacy fence with an huge back yard and an extra kennel if needed.
“Maggie is amazing. Super attentive and careful with the animals. I traveled for 4 days and she took care of everything to ensure my cats were well cared for during those days. I will definitely book with her again.”

“After my "meet & greet" w/Amy, I felt comfortable with leaving Gray Kitty in her care. When I got back home, everything was in good order & Gray Kitty seemed very happy and well taken care of. Amy did a great job, thank you!!!”

About: Hello! I worked with animals for as long as I could remember! I use to dog sit for my neighbors since I was 10 years old until I was 17! I currently still work at a dog daycare and have been working there for about three years now! I also work for wag as well so I take care of animals on there as well! I also have dogs of my own and two cats! I’m very fortunate to be able to take care of animals and have always loved and appreciated that owners would allow me to care for there pets while they are away! I would love to help you take care of your fur babies as well! :) I work full time at a dog daycare but I mostly spend my days at home with my own dogs! I besides working 2:30 to 10:00 pm I’m always at home! I will be with your babies when I am not a work and make sure they are getting the proper potty breaks as needed! I can also come home during my break which is usually the half way mark to come and give them attention and potty breaks! I only work Tuesday-Saturday! So I’m free Sunday and Monday which I will be home the whole time! At my home I usually let dogs free roam when they come to my house but I’m perfectly fine with crating your pups if needed I do have an in home crate! I mostly spend my time going on walks and something lazing around on the couch! I always give a good amount of outside time so they can have some fun playing and enjoying the weather! I always have safety in my mind especially when it comes to being outside and other dogs to make sure they are always safe! I would love to be able to help take care of your babies while you’re away!
“Second time booking with Jenna and she did great with Louie! Will continue to use her when I need someone to check on my Louie, as she keeps me updated and lets me know how her overall visit with Louie was :)”

About: I have the most experience caring for dogs and cats. Growing up, I always had pet dogs. Once I was finally on my own, I got my first cat and fully embraced the “cat lady” stereotype. I now have two other cats and one of them I raised from 4 weeks old. I therefore feel very experienced with bottle baby kittens. I am a full-time teacher so unless we are on a break, I am available during the week after 3pm. I don’t have any work commitments on weekends. I would follow whatever instructions you left for me regarding your pet. If I were to have any questions, I wouldn’t hesitate to reach out to you.
“Kristen was wonderful with my indoor kitty and the two outdoor stray kitties I have been taking care of. All three cats took to Kristen immediately and loved her! Kristen sent me all kinds of pictures and updates also. I couldn't recommend her more. We will 100% book with with Kristen in the future!”

“Connie was the best. At our first meeting, my cat Smokey came right up to her like they were old friends. He is reserved with some. My independent Oreo accepted her in her own way and both happily greeted her every day. To maintain his routine, Connie spent time with Smokey playing catch the Greenies which he is used to playing every day. She brought in my mail and watered some of my outdoor plants to keep them from getting crispy during the heat and drought.”

“Mya was fantastic. She stepped in at the drop of a hat to help us out after our previous sitter had gone MIA while we were out of town. Her communication was FANTASTIC - she was prompt, attentive, left detailed notes of her visits and sent so many photos! We were so grateful to her for not only her great care of our two pups, but also the level of responsiveness and care that we received from her. If we ever go out of town again, I will certainly contact Mya and would recommend her to anyone!!”

“Tiffany is amazing! When we got our puppy we were worried what we would do when we were both working. Tiffany took all that worry and threw it out the door. She is flexible, trustworthy, and takes great care of our puppy while we’re gone. I would highly recommend her!”

“Jessica is very nice and knowledgeable about dog behavior so I knew my boys were in good hands. It's freezing cold at home, but I knew I could still rely on her. The pictures at every visit kept my mind at ease. This was my first experience with Rover and Jessica was outstanding! So glad they got to stay home rather than some dumb kennel.”

My background includes rescue work, complex medical management, and specialized nutrition. Pet care is a lifelong passion and a core priority for me. I treat every animal in my care as a cherished family member, ensuring they receive the highest level of attention, safety, and affection. Pet care is my primary focus, allowing me to build my daily and weekly schedules entirely around the needs of the animals in my care. Because I manage a diverse range of species, my routine is structured to provide both consistent companion animal attention and precise habitat monitoring. When visiting your home, my focus is on maintaining absolute security, cleanliness, and the comfort of your pets in their familiar surroundings. Standard Companion Care: I handle feeding, fresh water replacement, litter box scooping, and dog walking. I follow your home security protocols precisely and provide regular photo updates. About: My love for animals started growing up with an English Cream Golden Retriever, where I learned the responsibility and joy of caring for a family pet. Over the past 20+ years, friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, and care for their pets. I have experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds, and I treat every animal with the same patience, attention, and care I would give my own. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they're in my care. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home and have a flexible schedule. Caring for animals gives me the opportunity to get outside, stay active, and do something I genuinely love. Since I spend much of my workday behind a computer, walking and spending time with animals is a refreshing and rewarding part of my day. I treat every pet with patience, attention, and care, and I truly enjoy building trust with both pets and their owners. When caring for a pet in a client’s home, I always follow the owner’s instructions closely and respect their routine. I make sure pets have fresh water, exercise, attention, and a safe environment at all times. I treat every home with professionalism and care, keeping it clean and secure while providing updates so owners can feel confident and comfortable knowing their pet is in good hands.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
