I was a little nervous dropping off our 8 month old Siberian Husky because it was our first time sending him off for boarding while we went away on vacation. Heck, it was our first time separated from him for any amount of time lol. Kristina had excellent communication from the first time I reached out and really put my mind at ease while we chatted as I dropped off our pup. She sent daily updates, either texts or pics, or both, and was quick to respond anytime I reached out. Our pup loved it there and even be-friended her German Shepherd. I can tell he misses his new buddy too by his body language after picking him up lol. He's happy to be home, but definitely bummed to part ways with his new BFF. About: I have, alongside owning pets, cared for many within and outside of my family for 6 years now. I know to care for dogs, cats, big and small. I can only do it mostly on weekends or early mornings on any other day. My days off from my regular job are Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday so if you need anything on those days then I am your gal! We take care of many pets in our home. I have a loving a cuddly home and treat all my fur guests as family. As someone with a senior dog, I am very patient and know how to accommate the additional needs some pets may have. With my flexible work from home schedule, I am able to be home during the week, to take your dog out for walks, potty breaks, cuddle, and to play. I am also available on weekends. With the exclusion of running errands, while your dog is with me, they will never be left alone for more than a few hours extended amount of time. I have a fenced in back yard for your dog to run free in. I also have a senior chihuahua who is very chill and unbothered, so as long as your dog likes other dogs, they will get along just fine. I do let dogs sit on the couch and get on the bed, however, I will respect that boundary if you do not allow that for your pets. I know all families have different schedules for potty and feeding times, and my schedule is flexible so I can keep your dog on track even while you are gone.

About: I have been caring for dogs and cats since I was 12 years old. One of my hobbies is German Shepard rescue. I have experience in training puppies and working with senior dogs. About: I've been fostering and taking care of others' dogs as long as I can remember. I have a huge home with a lot of open area to run and play. It has a fenced back yard. The fur babies sleep in my bed and yours will be welcome as well or they can sleep in other rooms. I work during the day but I get home around 530 pm. In the evenings, I'm home with the dogs. If its nice weather, we can go to the off leash parks and run around or go on the trails. I've owned, babysat, nursed back to health beagles, dachshunds, mastiffs, pit bulls, dalmatians, cocker spaniels, border collies, mixx breeds...they are all special to me. I don't give injected meds because I am TERRIFIED of needles! I am willing to travel to the dog's home if they are more comfortable there then outside of their own home. I will have to go home and check on my own dogs but I'll spend as much time as possible. I'll also bring treats from Treats Unleashed. I work 85% at home during the week but I can stop by for morning visits and evening visits. on the weekends I can be there as much or as little as possible At my house I have a husky who's pretty big and when he 1st meets a dog he barks a lot but then they become friends. At your house If you have a skittish dog or cat I know how to be present without being in their face or in their space. And if you have a loving dog I love to cuddle too. If you're going on a trip I don't mind getting your mail or packages and putting them in the house or whatever else you need done I am 85% working from home so I would be available more often. On the days that I am at the office, it will be about 4-6 hours between checkins during the day I will treat your fur babies as if they were my own. They have so much room to run and play inside and outside. We have great treats and toys. They will have a lot of fun.

“Excellent experience from start to finish! I was a little nervous dropping off our 8 month old Siberian Husky because it was our first time sending him off for boarding while we went away on vacation. Heck, it was our first time separated from him for any amount of time lol. Kristina had excellent communication from the first time I reached out and really put my mind at ease while we chatted as I dropped off our pup. She sent daily updates, either texts or pics, or both, and was quick to respond anytime I reached out. Our pup loved it there and even be-friended her German Shepherd. I can tell he misses his new buddy too by his body language after picking him up lol. He's happy to be home, but definitely bummed to part ways with his new BFF. Will absolutely make plans for Odin to stay with Kristina anytime we need boarding in the future.”

“I can't thank Gail and Dog Vacay enough!! Right from the meet and greet I knew I had picked the best. Our 12 year old Aussie/Collie mix Sydney felt so at home immediately. Gail's comfortable home let Sydney keep up with her daily pastimes: sleeping on the sofa and looking out the window! :) Sydney takes daily meds which were administered with no problem. Gail sent updates and even pictures to us that made my vacation more relaxed too. Gail's other little border gave Sydney a fun friend. I'm not sure Sydney wanted us to come home! “Great experience. We left two dogs overnight. We had an emergency out of state and needed to leave our two dog overnight and most of the next day. Nathen was very accommodating with the last minute request. Our girls had never been left before, but Nathen provided updates and picture to help ease my anxiety, in an already stressful situation. The girls were happy and taken care of. Will recommend Nathen to friends. If needed will use him again.”
About: I have been raising and training puppies and dogs my entire life, starting from the time I could walk. I also have extensive experience working with horses and dairy cows. I have structured my life in such a way that I am home 90% of the time, so it makes pet care very easy for me to do. I care for pets in my home and/or my client’s home by being intentional with the time I spend with them (they have my full attention), providing a loving & playful presence.
