About: New to Rover but not new to caring for animals. I pride myself on being reliable, communicative, and attentive to each pet’s routine. I’m a dependable, structured sitter who understands that pets do best when they feel safe, calm, and cared for—just like at home. As a busy mom managing a full household, I naturally bring consistency, patience, and attention to detail into everything I do—including pet care. I’m especially great with dogs who: • prefer routine • have a little anxiety • need calm, steady energy You can expect: ✔ timely communication ✔ daily photo + message updates ✔ a clean, safe, low-stress environment ✔ someone who treats your pet like family—but with structure I know how important it is to trust the person watching your pet, and I take that seriously. My goal is for you to feel completely at ease while you’re away. I’m currently working remotely so I’ll have plenty of companionship for your pet. I walk often myself so I’d be happy to exercise with your pet as well. I have a large yard that is unfenced. I’m open to coming to your home as well. I also have two daughters that are dog lovers that can’t wait to play with and love on your pets!
“Helen has walked our two pups a couple times now and has taken great care of them, making sure they are safe and get plenty of exercise. We know they are in good hands . We will definitely keep booking her for the future”
About: I have offered animal care services for 15 years. My experience includes daycare, medication administration, drop in visits, dog walks, and care for other animals such as cats, chickens, and other farm animals! I have little kids so services I offer require your dog be comfortable around kids, although their direct interaction will be limited. I have 2 dogs at my home. I currently work from home and have open availability. I am typically awake early, and can adjust my schedule around your needs with the exception of my kids bedtime routine :) I have a fenced in yard. I offer a crate if needed for eating or breaks. I offer baby gates if needed. I have many years experience and both of my parents have worked in the animal field for all my life.
“Kind... thoughtfu...l patient... very accommodating... walks in safe sidewalks or paths, etc. Would totally trust her with any animal whether it's just for an hour walk or a whole week weather at owner's house or hers. Rock on Gina! 🐕🦺🐶🐾🐾”

About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember! I've owned and cared for a variety of pets over the years and have experience with animals of different ages, personalities, and care needs. One of the most rewarding parts of my pet-care journey has been fostering. I'm currently a pet care specialist and foster with Capital Area Humane Society (CAHS) and have also fostered for other shelters in the past. Through fostering, I've cared for pets who were shy, energetic, recovering from medical procedures, learning social skills, or simply looking for a safe place to land before finding their forever homes. I also have two dogs who don't currently live with me, but I absolutely love spending time with them whenever I can. Whether it's long walks, outdoor adventures, or hiking local trails, I'm happiest when I have a furry companion by my side. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, loved, and cared for while their owners are away. I work shorter shifts at Capital Area Humane Society, so my schedule allows me the flexibility to provide reliable and attentive care for pets throughout the week. I make it a priority to plan my day around the pets I'm caring for so they receive the attention, exercise, potty breaks, meals, and companionship they need. Whether your pet thrives on a structured routine or is more laid-back, I'm happy to work with their individual schedule and needs. Communication is important to me, so you can also expect regular updates, photos, and check-ins while you're away. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I take that responsibility seriously. My approach is centered on safety, patience, and positive interactions. As a foster caregiver, I've worked with animals from many different backgrounds, which has taught me how to read body language, respect boundaries, and help pets feel comfortable in new situations. I carefully follow all owner instructions regarding feeding, medications, exercise, routines, and household rules. I believe every pet deserves individualized care and attention. My goal is to provide a safe, stress-free experience where both pets and owners feel confident and comfortable. You can count on me to treat your pets with the same love and care I would give my own.
About: I have had dogs in my life since I was born. I currently am living with my mother and we have two dogs. One is a senior lab, Rosco, with two torn ACLs who requires love and extra care when we are home. The other is a husky mix, who has a very bad skin allergy that requires daily oral medication and baths twice a week. I have dog sat for small dogs and big dogs. My services involves walks, playing, and lots of love. I enjoy being a dog sitter because well, I just love dogs and giving them time attention and time they need while there owner is away. I have watched dogs as little as a Yorkie terrier and as big as a St. Bernard. Size is not an issue for me at all. Please message me if you have any questions.
About: I've taken care of both dogs and cats for as long as I can remember. Ever since I was a kid I would help out friend, family members, and neighbors with their pets. I've had a lot of experience caring for all sorts of animals through means of daily check-in's, going on walks, and overnight stays! I am currently a student at MSU with a somewhat flexible schedule during the week and I am available in mornings on saturday and sundays, I am also available sunday nights. I live with two dogs who would definitely keep your dog some very friendly company, they also love cats as well! I love taking my own dog on walks and there is a nice little park very close to my house that I love to walk my dog to.
“This was the first walk with Jessa. She was on time. She’s quite pleasant. Rhys seemed to take to her right off and some initial tugging I think they established the rhythm intend to set up another next week. I have every reason to believe this is a great beginning.”

“Beanie loves Kenzie! She is super reliable and on time even when it’s been days with crappy weather. Plus, she always gets the cutest, derpiest photo of Beanie for the walk card which makes me smile when I see it after their walk!”
“She has been amazing with Charlie! There was one day Charlie was choking a bit, and she reached out to let me know right away. She shows up every scheduled day on time! I know Charlie loves his walks with her.”

About: I’m a mom to 3 kiddos and 2 big fur babies. I work from home as an insurance agent and love snuggling and playing with my pups. I have always had an animal in my home and am very patient with animals. Prior to becoming an insurance agent I worked in direct care for 15+ years. I am compassionate and loving and truly care about all living creatures. I work from home, and have the flexibility to clock in and out as needed. I can be available anytime and work within your pups schedule. I have a fence in backyard and two loving babies who will keep your pup company. I can also keep my dogs in a separate area of the home and allow your dog to run freely if they don’t do as well with others. About: I have been taking care of dogs in 2017, when I was in fifth grade! Since then, I've become the trustworthy dog and house-sitter for my neighborhood, and have taken care of multiple households of pets at the same time! I also love to be active, and would love to take your pup on long (or short!) walks! I am home for summer for college, and have plenty of time to love on some dogs! I can walk dogs for ranging periods of time at any point during the day, and drop in at any time during the day! In clients home, I will make sure to keep pups in the approved areas, and give them lots of care during drop ins. I prefer to spend more time with the animals than less, and make sure they are loved on during the long days!!
About: I have been pet sitting since I was 15 for family and friends. I have watched all types of dogs, large, small, young, and old as well as some cats. I am an active person that enjoys exercise but I also love nature so I can go at whatever speed your dog prefers. I am a graduate student at MSU so I keep a busy schedule, but I will always find time for your pets and treat them as my own! Although I am not certified I have trained my own dogs and can adjust to whatever level of obedience you are looking to attain. I also volunteer at an animal sanctuary so I have experience with all kinds of animals besides just cats and dogs. I would love to be able to assist you with any of the services I can provide for your furry friends! I am a graduate student so I do have classes during the fall and spring term and MSU employs me part-time as a teaching assistant. I do have availability inside and outside the working hours of the day depending on the day of the week during classes. In the summers, I currently work on research for MSU but have flexible scheduling to fit your pet care needs. I am a detail-oriented person and will care for your pets exactly the way you would in your own home. I also will treat your home as if it was my own and clean up after myself and your pets, and make sure your house is safe and secure while you are gone. I will be happy to take care of your pets and make sure they are well-taken care of until you return!

About: Hi! I’m Mariah, a lifelong animal lover and proud pet parent to a big, goofy dog and two sweet cats. While I’m new to professional pet care, I’ve spent years caring for my own animals and know firsthand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family. I offer drop-in visits, dog walking, and house sitting—and I bring a calm, playful, and structured approach to every visit. Whether it’s a quick check-in, a good walk, or keeping your pets company while you’re away, I treat every animal like one of my own: with love, patience, and attention to their unique needs. I know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your pets in someone else’s care, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. My goal is to give you peace of mind—and your pets a new friend they can feel safe and happy with. I currently am a Preschool Teacher so I work Monday-Friday 8am-4:30. So I’m available on weekends. Summers I’m off so I will adjust my days and times when summer draws nearer. Whether I’m visiting your home for a walk, drop-in, or overnight stay, I do everything I can to keep your pet’s routine consistent and stress-free. I follow your instructions closely—mealtimes, meds, playtime, litter boxes, the works—and always give your pet the attention, affection, and patience they deserve. For dogs, I bring a calm, structured energy to walks and make sure they get both exercise and fun. For cats, I understand that comfort and familiarity are everything—I move at their pace and respect their boundaries while still making time for play or snuggles if they’re into it. Every visit is about making your pet feel safe, seen, and loved—just like they would with you

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
