“Kimberly was amazing. She did drop in visits for a week for my two dogs and took excellent care of them. She is professional, courteous and communicative. I highly recommend her!”

About: One of my greatest joys in life is meeting new Dogs. There isn’t a dog that I won’t stop to greet and I’ve never turned down a chance to puppy-sit for a friend. In fact my experience outside of my own pets probably starts around 8-9 years old, I used to help my grandma feed her two large huskies, kennel them and clean their dog run. I’ve cared for everything from large German shepherds to small chihuahuas and a lot of in between which has given me years of experience caring for every different type of personality and energy level. I’ve cared for foster dogs from bad situations, high energy dogs with special care needs and even senior dogs who may need a little help now and then. A lot of people can walk a dog but only a few special people can care for your dog as much as you would. I believe I’m a person who would care and protect your dog as much as I would my own. I work full time Mon-Fri til 230 with my free time running til 7 pm everyday but Wednesdays. I’m available all day on Saturdays and Sundays with exceptions. I will always try my best to care for your dogs exactly as you need or specify. I’ll spend as much time as I can with them and put off crating til necessary. I want your dogs to get the most out of this experience seeing as they’re the ones being cared for, so I will always treat them as you would.
“Amy is fantastic! Very friendly and really bonded with our two crazy cats. Lots of pictures which we appreciate being away. Felt very confident my kitties and plants were in good hands.”

“Such great care and consideration was taken with Mollie. She's n old GL who requires a little extra love and patience and they brought it in abundance. They were so accommodating with an evolving family situation and so kind in turn. Highly recommend Anja and Josh. They are my go to and preference for any of our critters now and in the future.”
“Kellie was wonderful! Great communication and took amazing care of my cat Cleo. Very thankful for her help, especially with additional check-ins scheduled. I highly recommend Kellie!”

About: I have been raised with a pet by side. When I have born we had two brittany spaniels that have since passed on. In 8th grade, after they passed, we adopted another puppy brittany. A year later, we adopted another, to have our current pair of brittanys. So I have experience raising puppies as well. I play with them outdoors and indoors, brush them, clean up their poop, bath them, feed them, and train them. They also get taken on walks at the local forest preserve for stimulation. I have experience in caring for fish and snakes. Between dogs, I had my cat to keep me company. She is solely my cat, so she got the same attention as the dogs, plus I bought her toys, treats, litter, and food. Outside of my dogs I have pet sit goldens labs, goldendoodles, springer spaniels, and many other breeds. As in my headline, I don't think any animal is low maintenance. That just means the pet isn't getting the care it deserves. I had my cat at my dorm first semester, and I fed her breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I made sure to play with twice a day and we played birds on the tv for stimulation as well. I had a weekly schedule to brush her twice a week, and clean the litter box every Sunday and Wednesday. At home I would alternate playing with my dogs, training, and brushing them whenever possible. I can play indoors and outdoors. I can take the animal for walks. Clean up any potential messes, such as muddy dogs or if a cat has a hairball. I can accompany senior pets that need help eating. I can brush the animal. And feed them, and do basic training.
About: I've been caring for cats and dogs for over 12 years and have experience with pets of different ages, personalities, and energy levels. As a lifelong animal lover and cat owner myself, I understand how important it is to have someone dependable caring for your pet. Friends, family, and neighbors regularly trust me with their pets because I provide attentive care, follow instructions carefully, and treat every animal like they're my own. I am available Saturdays through Mondays and have a flexible schedule that allows me to accommodate drop-ins, walks, and pet sitting visits throughout the day. I am based in Chicago's South Loop and generally prefer bookings nearby so I can provide reliable and timely care. I welcome both recurring clients and new pets. I pride myself on being dependable, communicative, and respectful of both pets and owners' homes I currently provide care in clients' homes rather than my own. I understand that every pet has unique routines, preferences, and needs, and I take the time to follow each owner's instructions closely. My goal is to help pets feel comfortable and safe while maintaining the routines they're familiar with.
About: I’ve done dog walking and drop in visits in the past working with dogs, small critters, and cats. I have about 2 years of experience with dog walking and drop in visits and haven’t had any complaints that I know of from the pet owners that I was working with. I understand the body language of both dogs and cats and I’m able to respect the pets boundaries and know how to access a situation. I also used to work at the animal shelter for a bit! Currently I don’t have a job other than Rover so I have the time to take care of your pets and my schedule is pretty open. I have 2 cats and I take care of them by feeding them wet food 2 times a day and dry food throughout the day and I also scoop their litter boxes and play with them. I’m very respectful of clients homes and respect the rules they have in place for their home because everyone’s care for their pets and homes are different.
About: I’ve had cats my entire life, I’ve also had several rodents, mice and rats, and I’ve looked after friends dogs. I have fostered many cats and I’m also very experienced with giving animals medicine. I work remote and will have plenty of time to spend with your fur baby! I just graduated college, I’m looking for an additional source of income to add to my part time job. I’m pretty open week days and may be able to make different times work on Fridays and Sundays. My schedule can be flexible, so feel free to reach out 🙂 I will follow all of the owners instructions, send pictures and text message updates. I can have cats and cat friendly dogs spend the night. I have two cats but they will be kept seperately. Let me know if you have any special requests :)

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 1,200 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Maple Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Maple Park. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
