About: I’ve worked in animal care for years now and have taken care of my own pets for years before that. I have experience with a huge variety of sizes and breeds! I’m well versed in animal behavior and temperaments. I’ve worked with puppies all the way up to senior pets who may need a little extra care or attention. I have my own pets as well and have a deep understanding how much they can mean to us. I’m currently working on my certificate for dog grooming! I have yet to start school but this is a dream I’ve had for a while now. At the moment, I’m almost completely open for sitting. I think enrichment is very important for pets. For dogs, getting outside is a must. Many breeds require a lot of stimulation throughout the day in order to stay healthy in mind and body alike. For cats, some are independent players and toys are a must. Others may like to play with a person and that’s an activity that’s very important for them. I personally feed my animals once in the morning, once at night. My dog typically gets at least one walk a day and I make sure to take him out 2-3 times a day for potty breaks. Or even more if he lets me know he has to go. My one cat is an independent player so I leave her toys in her favorite places.

I grew up on a farm, caring for dogs, cats, goats, sheep, and chickens, so reading animal behavior, staying calm under pressure and knowing when somethings off comes naturally to me. Over the years, I’ve trained my own dogs, worked with rescue animals, and volunteered with KARE, where I help rehabilitate, both wild and domestic animals. That experience has taught me how to handle pets of all temperament and backgrounds, including those who were shy, anxious, or still learning the ropes. I personally cared for dogs, cats, ferrets, chinchillas, sugar, gliders, hedgehogs, snakes, fish, turtles, parrots, and a wide variety of reptiles, so chances are, I’ve worked with a pet like yours before! Your pet isn’t just a booking to me, they’re a living creature who deserves calm, attentive care from someone who genuinely knows what they’re doing. i’m generally available weekday mornings, weekday evenings, and weekends. My schedule varies week to week, so I keep my calendar updated in real time. If you don’t see any availability that works, feel free to reach out as my schedule sometimes opens up with short notice! when I’m in your home, my priority is keeping your pet safe and as close to their normal routine as possible. I follow your KARE instructions closely, do a quick safety check on arrival, and reach out immediately if anything seems off. You’ll get photo updates every visit so you can see your pet is happy and well cared for.

I learned how to care for them when I was a teenager; a neighbor gave us kids free riding lessons in exchange for chores around the farm which included caring for the horses. I am a fully remote college student. I’m easily able to bring my schoolwork with me on my laptop to sit your pets in your home where they feel most comfortable and safe. I’m available to give meals, administer medication and walk your dog(s), have playtime etc.. on your chosen schedule. Feeding, walking, medication schedule as per owner instructions. Plenty of play and snuggle time. I can also bathe, dry and brush dogs. I can brush cats.

About: I know how important my dog's well-being and daily routine is to me, and I would love to help keep your dog in their routine! I have experience caring for and training dogs of all types, and will cater to senior dogs, medical needs, or special needs such as sensitive, selective, or reactive dogs. In my spare time I volunteer with my therapy dog Reese, and have experience fostering and training dogs using positive reinforcement. I know how hard it is to be away from your pet but I can assure a safe and successful walk, sit, or stay! I am a teacher, and currently available full time for animal care! Available on weekdays, for stop-ins during the work day, or over holiday weekends. In your home, I can offer lots of your dog's favorite exercise for every season. Depending on their activity level, we can take walks, runs, or just breaks/sniffs. I always clean up after dogs and demonstrate responsible dog ownership in your neighborhood! For stays at my house: the yard is huge, and backs to forest preserve property and pond, but the yard is unfenced so I am diligent about leashes.
