“Our dogs, having never been boarded before, did well with James and family. My GSD is "fear aggressive" and James took right over when we got there. I knew she was going to be in good hands. And our new 5 month old poodle fit right in with the family. Our GSD loves kids and loved being with their daughters. They took the time to bathe and trim our poodle. They fixed the bad job I did on her! We will use James and family again. Glad we found James.”

“High praise for availability, punctuality, care, activities, plus tons of photos during his stay. Kaitlyn receives my highest recommendation. Max just made some “BFF - best friends forever. He will be back. Again and again.. TF”

“This was my pup Luna’s first time being boarded and Nancy went above and beyond all my expectations of what I thought pet boarding can be. She was able to accommodate Lunas specific needs, and put my mind at ease by keeping me present throughout her stay with pictures and updates on how Luna was adjusting without me. Nancy’s patience, care and love she provided to Luna was very evident when I picked her up. I would trust Nancy to take care of Luna again in a heartbeat. If you’re ever considering boarding your baby, I couldn’t recommend Nancy enough! 10/10”

“Amy was awesome. She was great from the first message. She communicated every step of the way and kept us updated every day we were away. The main thing though was our doggie was a happy doggie when we picked her up.”

“Oh my gosh, Shaky had the most wonderful time with Katie and her family. She came back in perfect condition and she is a dog with a delicate Gastro track. They even took her hiking with permission. Would recommend them highly as pet sitters! !”

“Erin took great care of our sweet dog, Lily. She was easy to communicate with, replied quickly, and sent pictures to let us know how much fun Lily was having playing in the river with Erin. I will be using her again, soon, and would highly recommend her to anyone!”
About: I have taken care of dogs my whole life. I am a trustworthy retired RN who is looking to spoil your dogs while you are away. I am a non-smoker and very active with walking/hikes and pickleball. I am retired now for 5 years and spend my day actively with hike/bikes/pickleball to name a few activities. I am available most days with proper notice. I do not have a fenced yard but do have a 7-year-old dog named Dori who gets her exercise walking daily. If you pup likes fenced in yards caring for your dog would be better at your home.
“Maria and Jose took great care of our girl. They instantly made us feel comfortable and asked great questions to understand all her needs. They sent us tons of videos/pics throughout her stay which put us at ease knowing she was having a blast playing with their dogs and going on walks. I highly recommend them as they were great with our puppy.”

“I cannot recommend Kali for you enough! SHE IS A GEM! My first time sitting my dog was a terrible experience and I was terrified to sit him again but a family emergency popped up and I came across her profile. Her house is clean and she was so nice during the meet and greet, my dog Smokie adores her. Not only did she go over plans on what to do with Smokie while we were away but wrote down a detailed list of everything we told her which sits out in her home in case an emergency happened on her end that anyone coming to watch her own dogs and our dog would know exactly what he needed. She also provided us with all of her emergency contacts so we knew anyone who may be in her home. She also has close contact with the vets in the area if something should happen with our pet. She is amazingly organized and prepared. The dogs have plenty of space to roam and she even had a quiet room for the dogs that can’t roam if she had to pop out of the house and can’t bring the dogs. I will never even consider another sitter after booking with her because they all pale in comparison!”

“Maria was so sweet and made me feel so comfortable leaving my sweet Joey overnight. Great communication and updates with photos throughout his stay. I would recommend Maria to care for your best friends and will definitely be back! Joey can be a handful and Maria made me feel that he was so welcome! Thank you!!”

“Sharon was amazing to help us when we were in need of someone to board our dog. She took him in last minute, loved on him, and went above and beyond for our boy! We are so thankful for her attentiveness and care. We will be booking with Sharon again!”

Maggie Valley dog parents share their Rover experiences
My fur babies absolutely loved Holly and Ciara! They stayed in touch with me while I was away for the weekend and sent the cutest pictures! I was nervous because it was their first time going to a new home especially for multiple days/nights + Knox just having surgery so he had some medication instructions but they did great and loved every minute of it! If ever they need to get a sitter again, I will definitely try for Holly and Ciara before anyone!! I can’t thank them enough!!
