“James is great!, quick response, friendly. He has a large yard for all our sweet furries 🐕🐾🦴 companions to enjoy. Lola said she'd be thrilled to go back spend time there again. Thanks you.”

“Emily and her family took great care of D-Rex and were very flexible. They sent us a lot of pictures and kept us updated. So glad we found them in such short notice and they were able to accommodate us.”

“Kali was so wonderful. My mollie enjoyed her time with her and her pups! She kept me posted on mollies needs and I am grateful she worked with me on my hectic schedule.”

“Sharon is a loving and considerate companion that kept our elderly dog Kuma happy and healthy while we were away. Her wonderful attention to his daily needs was outstanding. Kuma enjoyed every minute of the warm and loving care Sharon gave to him everyday. The pictures and videos showed how he loved Sharon and how happy he was. Sharon would be an excellent pet sitter for your pets and we would highly recommend her services.”

“Liz and Logan were such amazing pet sitters! We booked with them a couple weeks before our trip and quickly arranged a meet up to ensure everyone got along. I was thrilled to find a sitter nearby that would take our pup for 12 days with such short notice. Our dog was so well taken care of and we got updates the entire time. I love how they work from home and have a fenced in yard, it was nice to know they were spending lots of time together. They even allowed him on furniture and to sleep in bed with them. I would highly recommend them for any of your pet needs!”

“I can’t say enough good about Melody. We would leave Gaia in her care any time. If she lived close to us and we were going away for a month, we would leave Gaia in her care and feel 100% secure. She has a lovely environment for a dog ( or a human), made our dog feel instantly comfortable, and showed her a really good time.”

“Tia is awesome! My pup’s first overnight and day camp went great. She sent lots of cute pics and the sweetest little write-up of how his stay went. I felt so comfortable leaving my little guy with her, especially after getting to meet the other dogs and seeing how calm and loving she was in her interactions with all of them. We are so grateful that our dog has a safe and nurturing place to socialize, play, and tire himself out! We will definitely be back and he can’t wait 😊”

About: I’ve loved animals my entire life and have experience caring for dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and other pets. Growing up around animals has taught me how important patience, responsibility, and kindness are when caring for someone’s pet. I enjoy feeding, walking, playing with, and spending quality time with animals, as well as keeping their spaces clean and comfortable. I’m dependable, gentle, and attentive to each pet’s individual needs. I understand that every animal has its own personality and routine, and I want to make sure every pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for while their owners are away. I would love the opportunity to provide your pets with the same care and attention I give my own. I’m a university student working toward my bachelor’s degrees and I also work as a caregiver for older adults. My schedule can be busy, but I’m good at planning ahead and making time for pet care. I’m generally available around my school and work schedule, especially for walks, drop-ins, and spending time with pets. I’m also active and enjoy hiking and being outdoors, so I’d be happy to give dogs some extra exercise and playtime! I’m very respectful of people’s homes and always make sure pets are safe, comfortable, and cared for. I follow their normal routines as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, medications if needed, and playtime. I’m attentive to each pet’s personality and needs and will keep owners updated so they know how their pets are doing. I treat every home and pet with the same care and respect I would want for my own.

“Savanah took incredible care of our old lab while we were on vacation. She made the whole process for us very simple and gave daily photo updates. Will definitely be booking with her again in the future.”

“Megan is such a wonderful dog sitter. Her love for dogs shines through and when we picked up Penny, Megan gave us feedback on the stay and how everything went. Penny was obviously comfortable with her and now I know we have a knowledgeable, trustworthy person we can count on to care for our dog when we are out of town.”

“They did great with my 10 month old puppy! They kept her for 1 week and Kristin sent me several updates with pictures. Their dog, Tonks, was a great with my dog, too.”

“We truly can’t say enough wonderful things about Toni! She watched my mother-in-law’s sweet dog, Marigold, for about a month while my mother-in-law traveled to stay with us and help welcome our second baby. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to care for Marigold while she was away! Toni is such a genuinely kind and caring person, and it’s so clear how much she truly loves animals. She took Marigold on multiple walks every day, kept us updated with daily messages and photos, and was incredibly communicative throughout the entire stay. It gave our whole family so much peace of mind knowing Marigold was in such loving hands during such a special and busy time. Toni truly went above and beyond, and we are so grateful to have found her! We would absolutely love to use her again in the future and cannot recommend her highly enough! ❤️”

“Jennie and Craig watched our Aussie for 5 nights while we went on a family trip and they were just amazing from the moment of our meet and greet. I really appreciate how they introduce dogs to their home and other dogs as our dog can sometimes be anxious. They let him sniff around the backyard on his own before bringing out her dog and eased into it. He loved being in their care and with few other furry friends to run around and play ball with in their backyard. We look forward to having them watch Theo again soon!”

“I am Very happy with my experience with Jamie. I knew from her bio and after meeting I’d made a good choice. Calm easy going, with a low key older dog. I knew that my fearful dog would be ok. During the time that she was caring for my pup she shared pictures and reassurance that all was well. I highly recommend her services.”

“I would definitely leave my pup with Ashley again, in fact, I'm so glad I have someone I can count on to take care of my dog when needed. Asha was a bit reluctant to be in a new space with new people (as she always is), but Ashley went above and beyond to help Asha feel safe and comfortable. Thank you, Ashley!”

About: Howdy! My love for animals is ever growing! I have a few fur babies of my own, but I’m so excited to get to hang with the pets within my community! I’ve cared for a large range of animals- from brand new babes to old farts- cats, dogs, lizards, snakes, chickens, ducks, horses, goats, pigs, fish, etc! I currently have open availability! I’m in a transition period for my seasonal jobs, which means more time for adventures and cuddles with your pets! Regarding pups- I have one sweetie ole girl at home. If caring for the pets in my space, I like to do a pre-sit meeting to make sure they get along beforehand. (If that doesn’t work I can always keep them separated during the stay). We have a fenced in back yard with lots of room for the zoomies! & a few acres around us to roam if they have good recall. Regarding most other animals- would be happy to come to your place and follow your routine!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
