“James family was a great dog sitter for our 2 dogs over Thanksgiving. He texted us during our trip and the dogs were very happy and well cared for when we picked them up. They have several dogs of the same breed, and our dogs loved playing with them!”

“Nancy and Jay were very accommodating, quick to respond to all my questions and made me feel comfortable with a new unfamiliar place. Coolie loved playing with her new friends. They were sensitive to her individual needs and were sure to give lots ofbelly rubs as if she were at home! Much better than a boarding kennel.. Almost like home! Thank you!”

“Great Experience! While watching my puppy over the weekend they provided consistent updates the entire time. I really appreciated the regular photos and messages that gave a peace of mind knowing my puppy was doing well while I was away. My puppy also got a ton of playtime and attention!”

“Sophie had a great time with Alexis and Addy! I got pictures and updates from Alexis daily on how Sophie was doing which was such a relief for me. Sophie seemed very relaxed and at home during her stay and I will definitely book her again! Wag on?”

“Katie & Jeremy were great at communicating and sending pictures of our dogs stay with them. Creature seemed to have a great time and fit in well with them. Def would use them again!”

“Emily and her husband did a great job. We take our lab with us almost all the time so it wasn't easy to leave her somewhere for multiple days. Emily was great with accommodating a pre-stay meeting, always really good with communication and coordination, kept us regularly updated and assured that Parker was comfortable, happy, getting plenty of attention and activity, etc.. She was flexible with our pick up and always positive. We would definitely recommend and would definitely have Parker stay again.”

“Erin took great care of our sweet dog, Lily. She was easy to communicate with, replied quickly, and sent pictures to let us know how much fun Lily was having playing in the river with Erin. I will be using her again, soon, and would highly recommend her to anyone!”

“When I say this is the best sitter I’ve had my doodle comes back hydrated looking and smelling fresh and clean and most of all happy I appreciate the offer and beyond you are very kind and we are thankful Kay & Koko”

“I and our dogs experience with Bradly and his wife Naomi was great! They kept us informed daily of the conditions and whereabouts of our dog Onyx! We were very pleased with how they tended to him! We most definitely will be using them again! We highly recommend them!”

“My little morkie had another wonderful stay with Maria and Jose! It is so comforting to go on a trip and not worry about my pup. They are excellent at communicating daily and treat her as one of the family. I highly recommend!!”

“I cannot recommend Kali for you enough! SHE IS A GEM! My first time sitting my dog was a terrible experience and I was terrified to sit him again but a family emergency popped up and I came across her profile. Her house is clean and she was so nice during the meet and greet, my dog Smokie adores her. Not only did she go over plans on what to do with Smokie while we were away but wrote down a detailed list of everything we told her which sits out in her home in case an emergency happened on her end that anyone coming to watch her own dogs and our dog would know exactly what he needed. She also provided us with all of her emergency contacts so we knew anyone who may be in her home. She also has close contact with the vets in the area if something should happen with our pet. She is amazingly organized and prepared. The dogs have plenty of space to roam and she even had a quiet room for the dogs that can’t roam if she had to pop out of the house and can’t bring the dogs. I will never even consider another sitter after booking with her because they all pale in comparison!”

“Sarah was extremely easy to work with and Jasper had a great time with her dog Jimmy and her family. Communication was excellent and Jasper loved his time at her home!”

“Autumn took great care of our two dogs while we were away! She sent us regular updates that showed how well much fun they were having. Lenny and Roger will definitely be back in the future!”

“Maria was so sweet and made me feel so comfortable leaving my sweet Joey overnight. Great communication and updates with photos throughout his stay. I would recommend Maria to care for your best friends and will definitely be back! Joey can be a handful and Maria made me feel that he was so welcome! Thank you!!”

“Kristin is the best rover sitter I’ve found in Asheville. She is very communicative, kind and organized. I appreciate her attentiveness to my big boy and I can see is so happy and tired from all the fun he has had. I highly recommend!”

“I can't say enough about Lacie!!! She is absolutely excellent. We use her whenever we go out of town and never worry about our Emma. We know she is treated as well or even better than at home. Lacie is amazing.”

David was absolutely amazing with Nala! My German Shepherd can be a little anxious at first, but she warmed up right away. I got regular updates & photos that kept me completely at ease. Nala came home happy, tired, and clearly well-loved. Couldn’t ask for a better sitter—highly recommend!

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
