“Saving Grace for my cats. During the snow storm she made sure the cats were fed and comfortable and safe. I can't express how grateful I was and am for Jesse. I knew what was happening at all times which eased my worry so much. She always communicates fully. Even my cautious cat loves her. You can tell without a doubt she operates with care and love. She is an absolute gem.”

“Wow! Heather is an absolute gem who exceeded our expectations and put our anxieties to rest! I truly can't recommend Heather enough. She is competent, friendly, ready to help, and most importantly, was really sweet and patient with our cats--one of whom is extremely shy of strangers. By the end of our vacation Heather had won over and made friends with our scaredy boy kitty. Heather kept us apprised of each visit with photos as well as detailed and humorous updates that really set our minds and hearts at ease. She was also more than willing to water a few of our plants and tend to a few things around our house. Please book Heather if you are looking for the very best pet sitter!”

“Lauren did an amazing job with our 3 cats! She came for a meet and greet beforehand and took time to meet each one individually. She followed all our instructions and provided prompt communication and updates regarding our kids. We would definitely hire her again!”

“Autumn is great! Whether she is stopping by to let my dog out or boarding him for the weekend, I always feel confident that he is getting the utmost love and care. She is reliable, communicative and dependable and my dog and I highly recommend her!”

About: I have a passion for animals. I worked in a pet store for over year, enjoying being able to help pet owners find what their pets need. It’s rewarding to be able to help pet parents and pets get relief. Animals are giving and loving and I enjoy them so much. I have nine guinea pigs myself (which won’t effect my availability:)) and they are the absolute light of my life. Your pets will get so much love and care with me as your sitter. I love all animals, and I am comfortable with most dog sizes. I grew up with small dogs, rodents, and lizards. I understand that dogs need time outside for relieving themselves as well as exercise and fresh air. Every other kind of pet is also just as amazing, and I’d love to love and care for them too! I will be spending all the time I have with your pet. I wake up early to take care of them and I come home immediately after work to spend the evening with your pet. My job starts early, so I will have most of the afternoon and all evening to spend with them. I spend as much time as possible with your pet. I work full time, but make it a priority to be consistent so your pet knows what to expect from me and feels safe.
“Karmyn was absolutely wonderful for our drop-in visit! She was so thorough and attentive — sent great updates and pictures of all the dogs, made sure everyone was happy, and even left everything spotless. It’s such a relief knowing our pups (and our home!) were in such caring hands. We’ll definitely be booking with her again! 💜🐾”

“This was our first experience using Rover and it was perfect. Morgan was so nice and stopped by the day before our trip to meet the fluffs and learn their routine. We got photos and videos when she stopped by and was flexible with our schedule which we really appreciated. Thank you for picking up our last minute request on a holiday no less! We highly recommend Morgan.”

“Through the snow storm! Noone else could make it. Not sure how she made that happen, I think she put the truck in 4wd and went 5mph. The roads werent plowed. She saved the day for those cats. They had no other meal that day. They had food in their belly because she made sure of it. I am so grateful for her.”

About: I've been taking care of dogs since I was 12, when I finally talked my parents into adopting a sweet baby from a local pet rescue. Since then, I've helped countless neighbors and friends watch their dogs and cats. I love all cats and my late baby Luna was a member of my family for 12 years. She had diabetes for the last two years of her life and I became quite familiar with administering insulin. Following her passing, I adopted three kittens, who have brought so much joy to my house. I adopted a puppy in 2021 and have enjoyed learning how to train him on basic commands. I understand that each animal is unique and tailor my visits/check-ins to fit each individual furbaby. I would love to help you with your pet care needs! I currently work from home and my hours are somewhat flexible. I could help with your pet care needs prior to 9am, or after 5pm. If you need help during my WFH hours, that could be arranged with a bit of advanced notice. I have a fenced in area in my back yard and my dog has yet to meet another pup he didn't love. If you are at all familiar with the hierarchy of wolf packs, I'd park my baby Archie in the Omega category. He is just a big lover and loves to meet new friends and play!
“Allison, we can't thank you enough for taking care of "Kat" during our two week cruise to Alaska. We were initially hesitant in booking through Rover not knowing what to expect or how the pet sitters were screened to begin with. We're so glad we did and even more thankful that Kat had you to check in on her daily while we were gone. The love you have for animals is evident and again, we are extremely grateful that we could enjoy our vacation without having to worry about Kat. Oh, and anytime we got Internet service while in port, first thing we did was check out the "Rover Report." We got a kick out of them! For anyone reading this review, if you're looking for a pet caregiver that is reliable, caring and will love and spend time with your fur baby like her own, look no further and book with Allison. We will definitely be using her again! Erman & Roberta D.”

About: With a lifetime of experience in caring for and fostering pets and 6 years of professional experience in pet care, I can be there to love your furry family whenever you can’t. I am highly experienced with taking care of senior dogs and cats, very patient with puppies and kittens, and highly attentive to any needs your pet may have. I currently run an apothecary and crafts business from home with my girlfriend, and spend 1-2 nights a week playing music with friends. I am home most of the time and can spend most of the day caring for animals, I currently have a senior cat who requires lots of attention so cuddles are always available. I prioritize safety and trust in any environment I’m in for taking care of your pets. In clients houses, I stick to the pets schedule best I can to keep them stress free. I keep my own home pet proofed and always prioritize a clean and calming environment. I am always available to supervise your pets and love to nourish them with as much play time and walks as they need. I have a local dog park in the community, as well as a dog park with a lake nearby that dogs may swim in during the summer, which I love to bring them to. I also have a secure cat stroller for any adventurous cats who can easily be scared outdoors by dogs or other animals, which I love to take them for short walks in as long as they are comfortable.

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Clyde. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
