“Keegan is exceptionally gifted with animals. She bonded immediately with our Sheltie Dani, whom she walked all summer. In fact he looked for her first thing when he got out of his crate. Having grown up on a ranch, she has a wealth of information about animals. This proved extremely helpful because at just over a year old, Dani is still a puppy. She conscientiously told us anything unusual that he did, e.g. yesterday he surreptitiously ate a small rock, typical puppy behavior. She came back everyday with stories of Dani’s antics (he loves to chase dragon flies!), showing how she lets animals into her heart. Keegan is extraordinary. We hate to see her go back to college in OK. We and Dani look forward to more walks when she comes home from school at the holidays!”

“Mackenzie loves her walks with Amanda and has learned to wait at the door when it’s time for her to come. It’s really fun to see how excited she gets when Amanda arrives.”

“Shelby was incredibly thorough and professional while booking and during the walk. She sent a few photos and made sure that we knew that Nikita was well cared for. 100% would contact her again!”

About: Hello! My name is Jess! All of my life I have had dogs. They have always been a part of me. I started working with animals when I was very young, volunteering for fostering, working at shelters, and working for rescue groups. I grew up in the country where we used to have a ton of animals! Dogs, cats, (even chickens and gunnies). I now live in a spacious house in nashville with my hisband, daughter, 2 rescue dogs and rescue cat. The past year, I have been fostering for a local rescue. I’m so fortunate my two dogs get along well with others. My house is a dogs dream, as we have a huge fenced in back yard and I work from home! So they run until their heart is content. We welcome all breeds here and would love to meet you and your furry companion. I work from home so my schedule is very flexible! I let my dogs in and out many times a day - our house is equipped with all the toys and beds a dog could want I take safety very seriously. Especially when it’s a life I’m responsible for. Ensuring all locks are locked and precautions are in place before walking or letting out a dog is my number one focus. Then we can have all the fun!
About: I've grown up around cats and dogs all of my life. I pet sit often for my grandparents and other family members. I would love to be considered. Having a pet is super special, they are family. I've had dogs and cats all my life. My boyfriend has a dog that I help take care of. I also have a cat at my grandparents that 19 years old. He is my immortal cat. I will be taking care of your baby in your home. I promise to be respectful of your home and treat your baby as if it was my baby too!
About: Animals and humans were made for each other. I’m a lifelong dog lover with several years of pet sitting and dog walking experience. I’d love to help your pets get the care and exercise they need! I currently work a part-time, remote job which gives me great flexibility for working around most schedules! I am able to do ample walks throughout the day. Unfortunately I am not able to provide any services in my home at this time. As for working in the home of clients, I am careful to only spend time in parts of the home that are required for the job in order to respect your space and your privacy. Ultimately I want to spend time doing what your pets want to do!
“Big thanks to Dale for walking our senior dog on short notice! Great communication from start to finish — we knew our dog was in excellent hands and we would definitely book with Dale again!”

“Lily has been a very reliable and trustworthy dog walker! She has accommodated my varied work schedule and has been super easy to communicate with. She sends pictures of my pup every time she walks him, which I always appreciate. I will continue to book with her and recommend her to others!”

About: I’ve had cats and dogs for most of my life and now have a beautiful pit mix who I wish I could bring everywhere. (But when I visit your pets, mine will stay at home!) I’m happy to treat your crew with the love I wish my dog always received and the responsible care all pets need. I’m a freelancer, so I often have the flexibility to meet your schedule needs and maintain that schedule week after week so your pets are greeted by a consistent visitor and friend. I’m happy to visit your pets, let them out as needed, go for walks, administer meds, feed them, and if needed crate them so they’re cozy and safe before I leave.
“Rae was super communicative and flexible when our plans changed last minute. She gave Copper a great workout on his walks and that really helped us out. She was on time for every walk, will definitely book again!”

About: I’ve been caring for pets for several years and truly enjoy getting to know each animal’s unique personality. What sets me apart is my experience with both puppies and senior pets, and my ability to adapt to different needs and energy levels. With puppies, I’ve helped with everything from crate training and leash walking to basic obedience and building good habits early on. For senior pets, I’m comfortable administering medication, assisting with mobility, and providing a calm, comforting presence. I’m attentive, reliable, and always focused on making pets feel safe, happy, and loved while their people are away. I treat every pet like they’re my own—and I always make sure we have a little fun, too! (Plus, I’m pretty good at snapping cute photos of your pets!) I’m available for early morning, lunchtime, and evening visits during the week, which works great for pets who thrive on a consistent routine. I also have full availability on weekends, so I can be more flexible for longer visits, walks, or extra playtime when needed. I’m happy to work around your pet’s schedule to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away! When caring for your pet in their own home, I do everything I can to maintain their usual schedule—whether that’s feeding times, walk routes, or playtime routines! I take the time to get to know each pet’s personality, energy level, and comfort zones, and I will always respect your home and any specific instructions. Ultimately, my goal is to make your pet feel safe, relaxed, and cared for—just like you never left!

About: My family has had dogs since I was very young, and I have had my own dog for 3 years now. She is a rescue, and I have had her since she was 6 months old. I work full-time in a bakery and am off most days around 1-3pm. I do have some free mornings as well and would be able to drop by with notice. I live close to East Nashville with my dog, Millie, and cat, Spoon! I live by all the good walking trails. I would love to schedule some dog-walking nearby so that i can take full advantage of all the great weather we are having.
About: My name is Holly and I’m a nashville native! I am home this summer and would love to care for your babies while you’re away. I have been doing professional pet sitting for over 20 years I began pet sitting when I worked in an animal hospital for two years. I started doing this just for the extra income and found that I love it. One of my passions in life are animals. I feel they bring so much unconditional love to our lives. I work as a retreat host at a retreat center during the winter and I am home in nashville for the summer/fall. I don’t have any pets of my own right now which makes it easy to be mobile and love on your babies. I miss having my own pets so this makes it easier. I have had many dogs and cats in my lifetime all bringing such joy My goal is to treat your pet the way I would want others to treat mine (The Golden Rule). I will pamper, play and love your pets as if they were my own. Like I said before this is more than a job to me. Call me today with any questions or concerns you may have. I look forward to providing your pet with the best care possible. Im not currently working so I will be home with them most of the time. I feel like this is a great way to bring less stress to you and your pets while you’re away The safety of your pets and home are my top priority the compliment I get all the time is that they didn’t have to worry since the pets were with me

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Madison
It’s truly a joy to have Astrid watch over our pup. She provides detailed reviews and photos, and you can see how much our baby adores her. Astrid is always attentive and insightful, noticing any subtle changes in our dog or the weather, which we really appreciate. It means so much to have someone who genuinely cares about pets as much as we do. We couldn’t be luckier to have her 🫶🏼

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
