“Tracie is always fantastic with our dog! She has the perfect combination of letting his sniff and potty, while still getting some distance in. Plus, she takes cute pictures! We will use her again in the future!”

About: I have taking care of dogs and cats since I have been able to walk. I have worked at numerous vet’s offices as Kennel Assistants and have always had a cat or dog myself that I have taken care of and consider them my “fur-children”. I love all cats and dogs and would love to take care of you baby and treat them as my own! I’m available most mornings and evenings to take care of your fur-baby! I can help with walks during the day sometimes as well. I have a small backyard (not fenced) but am willing to take your animals around for a good long walk in the morning and the evenings as well. I have dog crates available for the dogs to be crated during the day. I also have a spare room that could be used for the cat or dog to have their own closed in space if needed! I also have plenty of dog beds, blankets, dog toys, and cat toys for them to play with! I also keep an extra couple of litter boxes handy, in addition to my LitterRobot for cats!
About: I have grown up with dogs, cats, and birds. I began dog sitting in my neighborhood (under my parents supervision) when I was 10. I am now 28 and have gained a wealth of knowledge in caring for dogs of all breeds (big and small) and ages. I personally have a terrier and an American shorthair cat. I have cared for them since they were very young as well as into old age. I absolutely love all animals. They are purest of heart and I just want to give them all the love and attention they deserve. I work an hybrid schedule with flexible in office days Mon. and Tues. I look forward to serving your pet with love and care. I’m a very laid back person who enjoys a lot of home activities like knitting and reading. I am able to provide the same comforts you provide your own pet when you are home! Running outside, play time, and cuddles! I will respect your home as my own and will leave it in the same condition I found it.
“Tara is amazing! I recently had shoulder surgery and needed a quick, responsive, kind, and frequent sitter for my two boys (2 y/o pittie and 13 y/o chihuahua-pug). Tara was not only on time and so sweet, but she really gave me the peace of mind with my boys when I needed it the most. We will definitely be recommending her!”

About: I’ve had two dogs of my own and have been taking care of them for almost 10 years, so I’m very comfortable around animals and their needs. I genuinely love animals and they hold a special place in my heart. I’m patient, attentive, and make sure pets feel safe, cared for, and loved whether it’s walking, feeding, or just spending time with them. I just graduated with my associate degree soon, so I have open availability with no school in session. This means I can be very flexible and reliable for pet care. I have plenty of time to give pets the attention they need, whether that’s walks, playtime, or check-ins throughout the day. When I’m in your home, I stick to your pet’s normal routine so they feel comfortable. I’ll make sure they’re well cared for and safe at all times. I’m very attentive and treat every pet like my own, making sure they’re happy and taken care of while you’re away.

In the summer, we put up our temporary fence to allow for outdoor pool time!
“Janey was great with our senior boxer, Ember. Ember has lost mobility in her hind legs and Janey was able to handle the challenge of her disability with ease. Ember looks forward to seeing Janey and I always know she is well taken care of in Janey’s hands.”
About: I have 2 big dogs of my own as well as a cat. I’ve taken care of all of them since they were little puppies and kitties. One of my dogs is medicated and I’m happy to assist you with medications if needed. I have past experience walking/ looking after my neighbors, family’s and friends dogs and cats. I try to keep my eye on them as much as possible to avoid anything that could go wrong/ prevent harm to your home.

About: After a decade of begging, my dad finally gave in to getting a dog on the basis that it would require no work from him. I took this to heart and my passion for animals has only grown caring for my fur baby every day of the week. I have rescued and fostered a dumped dog off the street and found her a loving home. I have done drop ins for some friends’ cats and dogs a couple times before with no problems as well. I am a student currently working as an EMT and I am looking to fill in the gaps doing what I love most while mutually helping out others. I have experience with a dog and cat of my own. I will love on every animal big and small, they are my world and what keeps me going. I don’t mind doing dirty work, and your furbaby will get all the attention they need! I can dog walk, cat-sit, and do drop-ins with the occasional home stay, with additional services conditionally.

About: I have years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, including puppies and senior pets. I’m patient, reliable, and detail-oriented, and I carefully follow each pet’s routine, feeding schedule, and care instructions. I’m comfortable with daily walks, playtime, medication administration, and providing extra support for older pets who need a slower pace or more attention. I treat every pet like my own and focus on keeping them safe, happy, and comfortable while their owners are away. I’m a college student and work part-time, which gives me a very flexible schedule. I only have about one hour of class Monday through Thursday and work one to two days per week for several hours at a time. This allows me plenty of availability for walks, feedings, playtime, and check-ins throughout the day, including mornings, evenings, and weekends. I plan my schedule carefully to make sure pets receive consistent, attentive care and plenty of attention. I prioritize safety, trust, and a calm environment in both my home and my client’s home. I carefully follow all care instructions, routines, and house rules, including feeding schedules, medications, and any special needs. I keep pets supervised, ensure doors and gates are secure, and provide a clean, comfortable space. In a client’s home, I respect their space, maintain their pet’s normal routine, and provide updates so owners feel confident their pets are safe and well cared for.

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Gallatin. On Rover:
- 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
