Tracie was amazing! She was super sweet with Thor and Freya right away and asked really good questions during the meet and greet that I did not even think of. I get super nervous leaving my babies with anyone who is not family or has watched them before and was especially nervous because one of them had been having hairballs pretty much daily. Tracie let me know when they did, cleaned them all up, and took great care of them. She followed the instructions very well and they were quite confusing at first because we use the Pet Libro wet feeders. I highly recommend Tracie and will definitely work with her again.

About: Hi! My name is Caitlyn. I am a lifelong animal lover and have had pets my whole life. I am a vet tech, so I have plenty experience with animals with medical or special needs. I am comfortable giving meds in whatever way works for your pet, from pill pockets to syringes to injections to pilling. I currently work at a vet so I can get your babies immediate help if needed. I work at a vet Monday-Thursday, so I am available all day Friday-Sunday to care for your critters. I would love to take some furry friends for a walk or sit on the couch with them while their family is on a trip. I will respect your pets space first and foremost. Even if I am staying overnight and your pet is scared to be near a stranger, I will not force them. If they’re more comfortable hiding in the closet, that if more than okay, as long as everyone is safe and healthy. If your pet is a snugglebug and wants to touch me 24/7, that’s great too! It’s all about making your pet feel comfortable while you are gone. I am also experienced in different ways to administer medication. If I have any issues, I will immediately let you know.

About: I have taking care of dogs and cats since I have been able to walk. I have worked at numerous vet’s offices as Kennel Assistants and have always had a cat or dog myself that I have taken care of and consider them my “fur-children”. I love all cats and dogs and would love to take care of you baby and treat them as my own! I’m available most mornings and evenings to take care of your fur-baby! I can help with walks during the day if planned in advance as well. I have a small backyard (not fenced) but am willing to take your animals around for a good long walk in the morning and the evenings as well. I have dog crates available for the dogs to be crated during the day (to board at my house they must be crate trained and be willing to stay in the crate when I am not home). I work only 10 minutes away from my house so I can make as many trips home to give them time out of the crate during the day as needed! I also have a spare room that could be used for the cat or dog to have their own closed in space if needed! I also have plenty of dog beds, blankets, dog toys, cat beds, a cat tower looking outside at a bird feeder for activity, and cat toys for them to play with! I also keep an extra couple of litter boxes handy, in addition to my LitterRobot for cats!

Erin was amazing to hire for our two cats. I know they were happy and well cared for! As for going the extra mile; there was a wind storm while we were gone, some things blew all over the yard. Erin was kind enough to pick up, so we didn't lose our kid's toys. Will definitely use her again when needed!

About: I’ve had pets my entire life and have 15+ years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and other animals. While I’m new to professional pet sitting, caring for animals has always been a part of my everyday life. I currently have an English Springer Spaniel of my own, so I’m very comfortable with energetic dogs, walks, playtime, feeding routines, basic grooming, and administering routine oral medications. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to have someone you genuinely trust caring for your pet and in your home. I’m dependable, attentive, and happy to follow your pet’s normal routine and any specific instructions you provide. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to accommodate walks and drop-in visits throughout the week. I’m available during the daytime on both weekdays and weekends and can often accommodate varying schedules or last-minute needs. I I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet and entering your home. I’ll always follow your pet’s normal routine and any care instructions you provide, including feeding, medications, potty routines, walks, and any household instructions related to their care. I’m attentive to each pet’s individual personality and comfort level and will never force an interaction if they need a little time to warm up. I’ll also make sure your home is secure when I leave and keep you updated with photos and a quick recap of each visit so you know your pet is happy and well cared for.

Second time booking with Ashlie. She checks in on the girls and takes them on walks which they seems tired tired from. Exactly what we want! She checks in and asks questions about changes in the dogs temperament and goes the extra mile to wipe their feet from the rain! Thank you!

Victoria was absolutely wonderful and so great with our dogs, who we call the Golden Girls. We have always tried to adopt geriatric pups who might not get a home otherwise. Lucy and Cloudy are very low-key, but do love a good snuggle. They were in great hands, and we so appreciate it. Thank you, Victoria.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Gallatin. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
