About: Hi, I’m Britt — a lifelong dog lover and experienced pet sitter. I had my sweet pup Abbie for 10 wonderful years, and since her recent passing, I’ve deeply missed having a dog around. I’m not quite ready to adopt again just yet, but I’d love to share my home and heart with your pup in the meantime. Over the years, I’ve cared for countless friends’ dogs of all breeds, ages, and personalities. I work remotely (as does my partner), so your dog will have constant company, attention, and care. I’m currently in a pet-free home, so your dog will get all the attention without the stress of sharing space with other animals. I live in a cozy New Orleans shotgun-style house that’s easy to section off depending on your dog’s needs — whether they like their own space or prefer to be close by. We also have a double-secured fenced yard that’s great for safe outdoor play and potty breaks. While this profile is just for me, my partner is also home full-time and a calm, animal-loving presence. He’s especially patient with dogs who may be shy or nervous around men. I have been a pet owner, caretaker, and lover for the majority of my life, but really began my professional career as a Pet Sitter when I left home for college and didn't have any furry friends in my dorm room. I've worked with every type of dog, fromteacup Pomeranians all the way up to Great Pyrenees and I've never met a dog I didn't love. About: After a tragically pet-free childhood, I've spent the last 20 years seeking out any opportunity to care for animals—from free dog walking for friends and cat-sitting for vacationing pals to hiking with hounds and being a designated vet chauffeur. I love exploring the outdoors with a dog, chucking sticks across empty fields, and praising them for every "good stretch"! I do everything I can to make pet parents feel comfortable and assured when they leave their furry friends in my care—including plenty of photos and updates! I work from home as a writer/editor and a live-edge woodworker, so my schedule is entirely flexible and under my control. I have a fenced-in backyard with ample shade where I often write and work, so outside time is always available for the animals I care for. I love walking the city and wandering through green spaces, especially Audubon Park and City Park, and having a puppy pal to accompany me makes it even more enjoyable. My interior home space is approximately 1,800 square feet, with multiple couches and rooms and sunspots for dogs and/or cats to relax and lounge. The fenced-in backyard is well-secured with a 6-foot fence for stress-free bathroom breaks, and my active lifestyle takes me on at least 2 longer walks each day, typically in the morning and evening. At a client's home, I pride myself on being highly adaptable to new routines and expectations, and my career as an editor makes me very attentive to details, e.g., medication needs, feeding times, sleep schedules, walk durations, etc. Whether you need someone to pop in and play with your pooch for an hour, or leave your animal at my home for a longer trip, you can rest assured they will be cared for, loved and pampered in a safe and comfortable environment.

About: I've had pets my entire life. I'm retired now and travel extensively for part of the year, so I'm unable to have pets of my own and thought this would be a great way to keep busy while I am in town. I have a doggy door and a large, gated backyard for games of fetch or hide and seek. I will provide a safe, loving home while you are away or drop-in if you so choose. When I'm in NOLA, I often work part-time from home. I'm retired so you could call me a homebody, and I'm often found working in my garden. In the fourth quarter of the year, I do travel until thanksgiving but will keep my calendar here updated. I am relatively flexible with scheduling. My son recently moved and took his Boston Terrier with him, so there are no longer any pets in my home. I have a large, fenced yard perfect for games of hide-and-seek or fetch, and I'm often in the back as well working on my garden. I do not have any plants that would present a danger. I love to take long, daily walks on the levee, which is only two blocks away...and would love to bring your pet along! I often have family visit, who also love pets.

About: You are your dog's best friend, I'll be their 2nd best bud. Through out the eight years I've developed real friendships with the pups I've sat for and walked. I'll take your dog out for long walks/runs and play or lazily lay around and cuddle them while your gone. I've cared for toy Yorkies and Italian Mastiffs, I have no preference and love all dogs indiscriminately and I think your dog will feel the same about me. I have a very flexible schedule and am easy to work with. While I haven't had the opportunity to care for a pup with special needs, I certainly am not opposed to doing so and will provide them with the care they deserve. About: I worked for 5 years as a doggy-daycare employee and trainer, and I’ve had dogs and cats all my life! I even have cherished memories helping my aunt deliver puppies on our farm growing up. I am a high-energy, extroverted person, and I love playing with animals and giving them love.
