About: What sets me apart is the level of personal care, attention, and space I provide for every dog. As a full-time homemaker and dedicated dog mom, I have the time to give each guest the supervision, companionship, and affection they deserve instead of leaving them alone for long periods. I have hands-on experience caring for my own two Cane Corsos, a large working breed that requires consistency, patience, and confident handling. This experience has taught me how to understand different personalities, recognize body language, and create a calm, safe environment for dogs of different sizes and energy levels. My home offers a fully fenced 2.41-acre country property, giving dogs plenty of room to safely run, explore, and play. I also understand that not every dog enjoys group play, so I can separate dogs when needed to ensure everyone stays comfortable, relaxed, and safe. I believe every dog is unique. I take the time to follow each owner’s care instructions, feeding schedule, exercise routine, and preferences so your pet feels as close to home as possible. I also provide regular updates and photos, giving you peace of mind while you’re away. For me, this isn’t just pet sitting—it’s providing a loving, trustworthy home where your furry family member is treated with the same care and respect I give my own. Pet care is a natural part of my daily life because I’m a full-time homemaker and devoted dog mom. Being home throughout the day allows me to provide consistent supervision, regular potty breaks, feeding on schedule, playtime, exercise, and plenty of love and attention for every dog in my care. Each day includes supervised outdoor time on our fully fenced 2.41-acre property, enrichment activities, cuddle time, and a comfortable place to rest indoors. I also make sure every guest follows their owner’s routine as closely as possible to help them feel safe, relaxed, and at home. As a furry parent myself, I understand how important it is to trust someone with your beloved companion. I treat every dog as if they were my own, giving them patience, kindness, and personalized care throughout their stay. My goal is to provide a calm, clean, and loving environment where dogs can enjoy themselves while their owners have complete peace of mind. At Country Paws Retreat, your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my highest priorities. I provide a peaceful, loving home where every dog is treated like family. My 2.41-acre fully fenced property offers plenty of secure space to run, play, explore, and relax in a safe country setting. I understand that leaving your furry family member with someone new takes trust. That’s why I provide attentive, personalized care, regular potty breaks, supervised playtime, fresh water, and lots of love and affection throughout the day. I keep a close eye on every dog to ensure they are safe, comfortable, and enjoying their stay. As a proud owner of two friendly Cane Corsos, I have experience caring for large breeds and understand that every dog has a unique personality. If needed, dogs can be separated during playtime or rest periods to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety. Whether your pup is here for daycare or an extended stay, you can enjoy peace of mind knowing they’re in a clean, secure, and caring environment where they’ll receive the attention they deserve. My goal is for every guest to leave happy, relaxed, and excited to come back!
“Gabriela took very good care of my pup while I was away. She kept me updated throughout the weekend with pictures and updates on Theo. He also enjoyed his stay with her. I recommend booking with her when you need a dog sitter!!”

“We are very happy with the care provided to our puppy. Maya is a very energetic puppy and sometimes it is hard to keep up with her but Brittany seems to have been able to handle her perfectly. Maya was very happy when she got home. Brittany was even nice enough to pick her up and drop her off. I will definitely book with Brittany again should we require a sitter. She seems like she really loves all animals and genuinely cares for them. I highly recommend her as a sitter.”

“This was the first time I had to leave my dog with someone. From drop off to pick up Tanya made me and Shimmy feel like family! She also provided daily updates! Put me at ease the whole time I was away.”

“Amazing with high-energy dogs! Our dog has endless energy and can sometimes be a handful, but Grace handled him like an absolute pro. She gave him plenty of exercise. Super communicative and professional. Thank you so much!☺️ highly recommend booking with her!!”

About: I’ve always loved animals and have experience caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes, and personalities. Friends, neighbors, and family often trust me to feed, walk, and spend time with their pets while they’re away. “I had a great experience with Claudia through Rover! She communicated really well and kept me updated with messages and pictures of my dog, Cecil. I was a little worried leaving him since he’s an older dog, but her experience with senior pets made me feel so much more comfortable. I could tell he was in good hands. I will definitely be booking with her again in the future!”

About: Any breed any size is welcomed! Whether you’re looking for a safe place for your hairy child to stay while you’re out of town or you’re just looking to have a vacation from your fur baby, you’re always welcomed to board with me. Hello! My name is Frank Barcenas. I am 28 and live in an apartment located in Bayview, TX. I have 2 pets of my own 2 dogs that mean the world to me and are by my side every second of the day. Taking care of dogs is a passion more than anything. Interacting with different breeds and seeing their different personalities is very interesting to me. I have been experienced with caring for animals for 5+ years. I have taken care of animals ranging from reptiles all the way to donkeys and pigs. I have volunteered at multiple animal shelters in the valley and have worked at multiple kennels aswell. I enjoy every second of caring for the animals making sure they’re in a safe and lovable environment as if they were at home. I am experienced in clipping nails, bathings, giving medication, giving shots, and general training. Boarding at my apartment, you can expect that your pups will be cared for and given lots of love and attention. One of the biggest problems dogs have are experiencing extreme anxiety when being separated from their normal routine. Having plenty of toys and multiple distractions at my apartment will ensure that your pet baby has a smooth and wonderful experience when boarding. When boarding with me you can expect multiple photos and videos of your pets daily while boarding. Work a 9-5 job. Pups would be inside during the hot hours of the day with my wife and will have small time outside during peak heat hours. In the afternoon when the heat is not bad they will be able to be outside 3+ hours I have a fenced yard. 24/7 supervision of the pups. Away from any high traffic roads. I have 2 pups who do well with other dogs

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
