âWe booked a last minute request with Miraya. She was so great! She sent photos and updates of her visits with our babies. I know they were just as happy as we were to have her caring for them. We will definitely book with Miraya in the future!â

âA star sitter for sure! Kristie took great care of my pup over a long weekend! She was a natural at bonding with my super shy puppy and was even willing and able to help train her. She kept good communications up for every visit so I had peace of mind that my dog was in good hands and administered her meds on the day she needed it. She brought over some good lookin cookie treats and gave my pup a new favorite toy! Kristie also took care of my chickens and I when I came home, my place was left in way better shape than I left it! She went above and beyond for sure and she was also super cool and fun to chat with! I will definitely call Kristie next time I need help with my pup!â

âJulissa was fantastic watching our two cats. She gave us good updates and sent plenty of pictures during drop in. She took care of the litter, kept everything clean, and was super quick to respond anytime we needed to communicate. Great experience working with her, couldnât have felt safer.â

âElsa was fantastic as usual dropping in our two cats while we were on a trip, sending pictures and updates and dropping in twice a day on them. Sheâs great with animals and our cats are really comfortable with her even though theyâre usually pretty shy, so weâre naturally very comfortable leaving them in her hands while weâre away. She makes sure theyâre well fed, spends some time with them, and cleans up after them as needed, 5/5 as usual.â

âReally enjoyed seeing photos of the doggos getting to play while we were out of time! Such a relief knowing they were getting love and attention. Very prompt responses, especially given how last minute I booked! Thanks again! Will definitely reach out on future needs.â

About: Hello!!! I love animals Iâve had cats and dogs growing up my whole life so Iâm pretty familiar with their care! I know how frustrating it is having to ask someone u know to put a stop in their day to help u out but sometimes itâs better to stress free and just hire someone who will devote their time to ur loved ones đđ Im pretty much free availability for right now due to being laid off so anything can work, for the time being. As per overnight stays or just checking in during the day I would love to make sure their bathroom areas are clean and well kept, their food and water always being fresh and making sure nothing is out of the ordinary

About: Iâve been taking care of animals of all kind since I was 10 years old. Neighbors, family, and friends have trusted me to pet sit, play, walk, feed, give medication, and care for their animals throughout the years. I was raised with cats, dogs, and other animals my entire life and I now have 2 high energy spoiled dogs of my own. I just recently relocated to the area and became a stay at home dog mom. My availability is very open and flexible. I want to extend my love and care to your pets so that you donât have to worry. I have pet sit multiple times making sure to show the pet love and attention, making sure food and water is available to them and if the pet is in need of medication I also have experience in how to safely and calmly administer the medication. I am also experienced in crating animals. I take my own dogs on daily walks. I work with them on not pulling, allowing them plenty of time to sniff and keep my head on a swivel of other people, animals, or anything that could be a trigger to them. I have experiences with dogs that may be more on the shy and introverted side, I work to encouraging them and show them that the world is not so scary.

I have a fenced in clean cut yard and small playful older dogs and a couple of curious cats. My home is full of love!

About: I personally trained my own Puppy Snowflake, and in the process I got trained myself on how to train them. I love playing with them, spending time with them. I am currently not doing a typical 9 to 5 job and that gives me the flexibility to do what I love the most, which is spending time with pets. I would play with them, keep them active. Take them out for walks and feed them based on requirement. I will keep a constant watch to ensure they are safe.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
