“I recently had to change services because my old dog walker had moved up north and she recommended Miraya. It has been a great experience so far and there was no disruption due the switch and my dog seems to love her already! Miraya is extremely joyous, flexible a truly loves what she does. I cannot recommend her more! Thanks for taking care of us, Miraya!”

About: Hi! My name is Sam (Samantha), and I’ve been around pets my entire life. I’ve had a family dog for as long as I can remember and have also cared for family members’ pets while they were out of town. I have experience with dog washing, managing multiple animals at once, and making sure each pet stays on their normal schedule. I’m dependable, patient, and truly enjoy spending time with animals. I currently run my own business, which allows me to have a very flexible schedule and be available throughout the day to give your fur babies the attention and care they deserve! I have a fully fenced backyard with plenty of space for dogs to safely roam and play. There is also a pool on the property that is not gated, and I always make sure pets are supervised to ensure their safety at all times. My dog Canelo is often seen sunbathing in the backyard or asleep all day. He has never shown an ounce of aggression and will more than likely completely leave them alone as he typically keeps to himself, making him easygoing around other dogs.
About: I’ve been a dog lover since I was born. One of my favorite activities to do as a kid and something that my family and I enjoy together is walking our dogs. We love being outside and enjoying time with our pets. You can be sure you pet will be well taken care of during their stay. We treat our pets as part of our family. They are included in family activities and we love playing with them. We give them plenty of love and attention throughout the day. We have a fenced yard that our pets are welcome to roam as they like. There are plenty of toys for them to play with as well. We also make sure to go on at least one walk a day.
About: My very first birthday request, from what I recall, was a Dalmatian or a Great Dane. My favorite movie as a child (not shocking) 101 Dalmatians and my favorite cartoon Scooby-Doo. I have taken care of parrots, cats, dogs, ferrets, raccoons, fish; their personalities are infectious. I recently read, “Your Dog Is Your Mirror”, by Kevin Behan it resonated with me. I adapt to animals and crave to know more about their mentality and personality. I work from home and have a flexible schedule. My availability to any family that needs extra assistance with their pet care is more than welcome to reach out. My home has accommodated dogs, cats and birds (at one time a tortoise) with ease. Currently, four happy pups live here living their best lives. Our house is fenced and well protected with easy access to food and water at all times.

All of my pets are rescues, and at 23 years old, I have primary responsibility for the daily care of eight dogs. My responsibilities include feeding, walking, bathing, providing daily care, and closely monitoring their overall health and well-being. I have hands-on experience caring for senior dogs, including three 15-year-old Chihuahuas, one of whom is blind and requires daily eye care and additional supervision. I also care for two dogs—a mother and her pup—who experience significant anxiety, requiring a calm environment, avoidance of noise-triggering toys, and daily supplements to help manage their stress. About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my lifelong experience and genuine love for animals. I’ve had multiple dogs and cats my whole life, so caring for pets has always been a natural part of who I am. I understand that every pet has a unique personality, and I’m patient, attentive, and responsive to their individual needs. I’m comfortable caring for puppies who need extra attention, consistency, and basic training reinforcement, as well as senior pets who may require a slower pace, medication reminders, or gentle care. I’m very observant and make sure pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. Now that I’m away at college, I truly miss having animals around, so pet sitting is something that brings me joy in the meantime. I have a big heart for animals, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. 🐾💛 Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine because I intentionally plan my schedule around the pets I’m caring for. As a college student, I have structured class times, which allows me to create consistent morning, afternoon, and evening check-ins for walks, feeding, playtime, and any special care needs. I’m used to building my day around animals since I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life. Whether it’s early morning walks, mid-day potty breaks, or evening cuddle time, I make sure pets receive attention, exercise, and companionship throughout the day. On weekends, I typically have even more flexibility, which allows for longer walks or extra playtime. Caring for pets isn’t something I squeeze in — it’s something I prioritize because I truly enjoy it. 🐾💛 When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, my top priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved in their environment. I carefully follow the owner’s instructions regarding feeding schedules, portion sizes, medications, exercise routines, and any specific behavioral needs. In a client’s home, I respect their space and keep everything clean and organized. I make sure pets stay on their normal routine to reduce stress while their owner is away. This includes walks, playtime, enrichment activities, and plenty of attention and affection. I also provide updates and photos so owners feel reassured. If caring for pets in my home, I create a calm, pet-friendly environment with close supervision. I ensure they have a safe space to rest, regular potty breaks, structured playtime, and lots of companionship. Because I’ve had multiple dogs and cats my whole life, I’m very attentive to body language and behavior changes, especially for puppies or senior pets who may need extra care. I treat every pet like they’re my own and always aim to provide consistent, loving, and responsible care. 🐾💛
