I recently had to change services because my old dog walker had moved up north and she recommended Miraya. It has been a great experience so far and there was no disruption due the switch and my dog seems to love her already! Miraya is extremely joyous, flexible a truly loves what she does. I cannot recommend her more! Thanks for taking care of us, Miraya!

About: I personally trained my own Puppy Snowflake, and in the process I got trained myself on how to train them. I love playing with them, spending time with them. I am currently not doing a typical 9 to 5 job and that gives me the flexibility to do what I love the most, which is spending time with pets. I would play with them, keep them active. Take them out for walks and feed them based on requirement. I will keep a constant watch to ensure they are safe.

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my lifelong experience and genuine love for animals. I’ve had multiple dogs and cats my whole life, so caring for pets has always been a natural part of who I am. I understand that every pet has a unique personality, and I’m patient, attentive, and responsive to their individual needs. I’m comfortable caring for puppies who need extra attention, consistency, and basic training reinforcement, as well as senior pets who may require a slower pace, medication reminders, or gentle care. I’m very observant and make sure pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. Now that I’m away at college, I truly miss having animals around, so pet sitting is something that brings me joy in the meantime. I have a big heart for animals, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. 🐾💛 Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine because I intentionally plan my schedule around the pets I’m caring for. As a college student, I have structured class times, which allows me to create consistent morning, afternoon, and evening check-ins for walks, feeding, playtime, and any special care needs. I’m used to building my day around animals since I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life. Whether it’s early morning walks, mid-day potty breaks, or evening cuddle time, I make sure pets receive attention, exercise, and companionship throughout the day. On weekends, I typically have even more flexibility, which allows for longer walks or extra playtime. Caring for pets isn’t something I squeeze in — it’s something I prioritize because I truly enjoy it. 🐾💛 When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, my top priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved in their environment. I carefully follow the owner’s instructions regarding feeding schedules, portion sizes, medications, exercise routines, and any specific behavioral needs. In a client’s home, I respect their space and keep everything clean and organized. I make sure pets stay on their normal routine to reduce stress while their owner is away. This includes walks, playtime, enrichment activities, and plenty of attention and affection. I also provide updates and photos so owners feel reassured. If caring for pets in my home, I create a calm, pet-friendly environment with close supervision. I ensure they have a safe space to rest, regular potty breaks, structured playtime, and lots of companionship. Because I’ve had multiple dogs and cats my whole life, I’m very attentive to body language and behavior changes, especially for puppies or senior pets who may need extra care. I treat every pet like they’re my own and always aim to provide consistent, loving, and responsible care. 🐾💛

About: Hi! My name is Sam (Samantha), and I’ve been around pets my entire life. I’ve had a family dog for as long as I can remember and have also cared for family members’ pets while they were out of town. I have experience with dog washing, managing multiple animals at once, and making sure each pet stays on their normal schedule. I’m dependable, patient, and truly enjoy spending time with animals. I currently run my own business, which allows me to have a very flexible schedule and be available throughout the day to give your fur babies the attention and care they deserve! I have a fully fenced backyard with plenty of space for dogs to safely roam and play. There is also a pool on the property that is not gated, and I always make sure pets are supervised to ensure their safety at all times. My dog Canelo is often seen sunbathing in the backyard or asleep all day. He has never shown an ounce of aggression and will more than likely completely leave them alone as he typically keeps to himself, making him easygoing around other dogs.

About: I have grown up with cats and dogs for most of my life. I have been dog sitting 2 Yorkies for weeks, on and off. All pets are well treated and loved in my home. I do have a well trained female shih tzu, which always gets along with other dogs. Pet care is used every day of the week, due to the dog I have. I always have time to care for other pets, which will never be ignored. I live in an apartment, which do allow pets. All dogs are allowed in the apartment. Dogs are walked on leashes around the outer part of the complex. Dogs are able to relieve their selves where kids and others are not around. I do use pads inside the apartment, which I do have. If dogs are needed to be kept inside, the large pads are used.

Vivian was so good with Rosie. Rosie is a little stubborn and she handled her so well. Rosie instantly loved her which doesn’t happen to often. She took great pictures of her and communicated so well with me. I would strongly recommend Vivian to anyone in need of help with their pup. Definitely will be using her again!

About: I believe I have always been reliable to be on call to take care of and walk family friends dogs since high school. Everyone gets busy and it’s important to have someone who’s always available. Hi! I currently work part-time at a clinic and attend college courses, I maintain a structured weekly schedule. Because of this, I’m very organized and plan my bookings carefully to ensure every pet gets my full attention. Pet care fits naturally into my routine since I prioritize reliability and consistency. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow all instructions carefully and maintain their normal routine to reduce stress. About: I have always loved and cared for animals because I grew up on a farm. My parents taught me how to take care of horses, sheep, goats, dogs, cats, and so many more. Whether I’m walking or babysitting your pet, they’ll be treated like they’re my own. I have a lot of yard space and free time, so your pet will be entertained and have plenty of potty breaks. I can also be reached on my cell phone at anytime if any questions/concerns arise. Your pet will be safe while I am looking after them. I work part time with DoorDash while I am training for my teacher certification, so I am available to fulfill any services at anytime and I will ensure your pet is safe and never left unattended. I have a large-fenced backyard and three dogs of my own. I love all animals and treat them like they’re members of my family. I will always treat the pets in my home or your home with respect and I will also treat your property with the utmost respect.

Judith went above and beyond for my puppy! Though we only booked a walk, once she noticed my dog was tired she brought him back to our house and gave him water. Then she went outside and threw a ball for him (which he loves). We got many pictures and a thoughtful “report card”! I will definitely rebook!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
