About: Any breed any size is welcomed! Whether you’re looking for a safe place for your hairy child to stay while you’re out of town or you’re just looking to have a vacation from your fur baby, you’re always welcomed to board with me. Hello! My name is Frank Barcenas. I am 28 and live in an apartment located in Bayview, TX. I have 2 pets of my own 2 dogs that mean the world to me and are by my side every second of the day. Taking care of dogs is a passion more than anything. Interacting with different breeds and seeing their different personalities is very interesting to me. I have been experienced with caring for animals for 5+ years. I have taken care of animals ranging from reptiles all the way to donkeys and pigs. I have volunteered at multiple animal shelters in the valley and have worked at multiple kennels aswell. I enjoy every second of caring for the animals making sure they’re in a safe and lovable environment as if they were at home. I am experienced in clipping nails, bathings, giving medication, giving shots, and general training. Boarding at my apartment, you can expect that your pups will be cared for and given lots of love and attention. One of the biggest problems dogs have are experiencing extreme anxiety when being separated from their normal routine. Having plenty of toys and multiple distractions at my apartment will ensure that your pet baby has a smooth and wonderful experience when boarding. When boarding with me you can expect multiple photos and videos of your pets daily while boarding. Work a 9-5 job. Pups would be inside during the hot hours of the day with my wife and will have small time outside during peak heat hours. In the afternoon when the heat is not bad they will be able to be outside 3+ hours I have a fenced yard. 24/7 supervision of the pups. Away from any high traffic roads. I have 2 pups who do well with other dogs
“Roxie had an amazing time!! Although, the weather wasn’t too cooperative, she enjoyed cuddling at home with Elaine’s family indoors. She went out for her routinely potty times, and selfies throughout her stay. Roxie can’t wait to return!!! Thank you so much!! :)”

“Gabriela took very good care of my pup while I was away. She kept me updated throughout the weekend with pictures and updates on Theo. He also enjoyed his stay with her. I recommend booking with her when you need a dog sitter!!”

““Guadalupe took amazing care of our Lacey as if she were her own. She kept in touch with us the entire time and made sure we were updated on everything. We’ll definitely be using her again!””

About: I have cared for and owned pets my whole life so I am experienced with how to care for them, puppies and elder dogs included! I am currently home from law school and have plenty of time to take care of pets. I am available all day to care for pets. I live in my family home with my parents and sister. We have one senior dog who is great with other animals. I have a large fenced yard with plenty of running and play space.
About: I have extensive experience caring for a wide variety of dogs, from energetic puppies to senior dogs requiring special attention. My approach adapts to each dog's unique needs, ensuring they receive the appropriate care for their age and health. For senior dogs, I focus on comfort and health management, providing a tailored diet, and gentle exercise routines to keep them active without causing strain. My goal is always to create a loving and supportive environment where dogs of all ages can thrive. Pet care is an integral part of my daily and weekly routine, ensuring that my pets' needs are consistently met. Each day, I dedicate time to feeding, walking, and engaging in playtime to keep them active and happy. This routine not only keeps my pets healthy but also strengthens our bond, making it a rewarding and essential part of my life. When caring for pets in my home or a client's home, I tailor my approach to meet the specific needs of each animal while ensuring their environment is safe and comfortable. In my home, I maintain a pet-friendly space with designated areas for sleeping, eating, and play, while sticking to a consistent routine that includes feeding, exercise, and regular interaction. In a client’s home, I prioritize maintaining their established routines to minimize any disruption for the pet, ensuring familiarity and comfort. I pay close attention to any special instructions, such as medication schedules, dietary restrictions, or specific behavioral needs, and I always provide updates to the pet owner for peace of mind. My goal is to create a stress-free experience for both the pet and their owner, whether the care takes place in my home or theirs.
“Pauline & Andrew were absolutely amazing! My puppy Tuck was taking medication and they administered his meds perfectly on time. Sent update pics of my boy throughout the day really put my mind at ease, especially being out of town. So grateful for these two. Responded in a timely manner and are so very friendly! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Crespin is great! I recommend him and will definitely be booking with him again. I was away for a couple of days but with the pictures and updates Crespin would send me daily, I was comfortable knowing my Fiona was in good hands.”

“April is very easy to work with and was able to watch after Blazer even on short notice. Blazer and Polly (April’s dog) get along very well. They get along so well that when I picked up Blazer from April he cried for almost 30 min wanting to go back. It is very clear she takes great care of my boy! Would recommend to anyone!”

“We trusted Samantha with our dog and we are appreciative of the great care she provided him. It was our first time away from him and her daily pictures and comments during his stay reassured us that he was well. We will soon be glad to have him stay with her again .”

“Sophia and Frank took excellent care of two kittens on short notice. They provided consistent updates and were extremely kind throughout the kitten's time there. Your pet would be in excellent hands with this lovely family!”

“I really appreciate Brittany to take Frankie in short notice. It was an unexpected 4-day trip. She sent me many pictures and videos and updated me regularly. Frankie has been a picky eater lately, but she was so patient with him. She even went through trouble to add a bit of egg into his bowl with kibbles as I suggested after discussing Frankie’s eating issue with me. Frankie looks so happy with Brittany’s dogs and cats in the pictures and videos. I’m super glad that he got to socialize and get along well with her pets. I’m a 100% return client.”

“Samantha and her family took great care of Benji. He received lots of attention and snuggles and we were sent photo updates daily. We will definitely seek out Samantha's services for our next boarding.”

“I had a great experience with Claudia through Rover! She communicated really well and kept me updated with messages and pictures of my dog, Cecil. I was a little worried leaving him since he’s an older dog, but her experience with senior pets made me feel so much more comfortable. I could tell he was in good hands. I will definitely be booking with her again in the future!”

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
